Hii there,
What the rubbish war match up we are getting from the last couple of wars...its really sucking this time...3 th9 ( having xbow,220 camp, lvl 4 drg, queen, 30 space cc, 9 spell capacity) against th8...Are you guys crazzy!!!!!:confused:..We never give up , but if we lose the war this if only your fault...you are responsible for a red line in our war log...just do something for rushed bases...just irrirating it is..:mad:

And most panic thing is DRAW...its same as losing...what we ll do with the white mark..no good bonus ..no distribution of war xp...streak come to zero...we lost or its a draw!!!...there is only one chance to get escape of the red mark when you are facing rushed bases...DRAW..but thats hopeless..waste..trash..ty
Yes sounds like something is wrong if 3 th9 are matched vs a single th8.

This situation is really tough. What about some lightweights in war? Also, the best solution would be to just attack the town hall 9 and do your best. I hope this helps!
Those 3 th9 are likely rushed with th8 defenses. You should be able to get a perfect score of them. A perfect score tie is by definition a fair match. Want to avoid that? Upgrade to th9 wars.

I would be very curious what the war weights were in comparison. Use a "war weight" calculator, I use: https://www.clashtrack.com/en/war-weight
I run a lot of comparisons on this with our matchups (particularly when they seem vastly out of whack). Sometimes its just a terrible matchup, other times it makes some sense (IE: maybe they were top heavy, and maybe you had them vastly outnumbered toward the bottom).

I believe that SC has included performance metrics such as average stars gained and average destruction percentage into the matchmaking system. This allows the system to match a low skilled clan with an opponent that may be more skilled, but has a lower weight that the lower skilled clan. This produces a match that is enjoyable and compelling for both sides. The low skilled clan gets a match that they honestly think they can win and that they will put their best effort into. The higher skilled, but lower weight clan gets a true challenge. In the case above, the TH8 had a chance to test themselves against a TH9 base and the pride and bragging rights of that accomplishment.

The rest is extremely low th's that appear to be included there to keep your overall war roster "light". With 6 or more th8's on top and a bunch of th3/4 on the bottom, the war mm algorithm recognizes doing that as an unbalanced roster and dumps you into a category with all of the other engineers. Keep a tigher spread of th's, preferably no more than a 3 th spread from top to bottom, and with balanced bases overall, and you won't see so many weird matchups.
And, as top mentioned above, start including a couple th9's in your matchup and that will really fix things. When my home clan started the transition to th9, we would reliably be within +/- 1 th9 in every single war. And our total number of th7/8 would typically be similarly close, with many wars in fact we had identical numbers of th9/8/7 as our opponents. Some of those opponents proved to be particularly skillfull and beat us, but we had a bunch of fun wars there.
fyi, my clan's last war we have 1 th11, 5 th10, 8 th9, and one max th8. Opponent had 3 th11, 3 th10, 7 th9, and 2 max th8 on bottom. Looked like a huge mismatch, each of their th11's were a match for ours...yet, like you in your earlier "unfair" war, we still won (38-35). I hate unfair matchups as much as the next guy, but I at least go to battle and try my best to win before whining about it.
I'm just curious why the focus on dragon level for the th 9. If you see a bunch of th9's with level 4 drags and no other war troops upgraded, you know you're are going to have an easy war. Level 5 hogs wipe th8's a lot easier then level 4 drags.

Wins a supposdely "huge" mismatch by getting a perfect war and by 6 stars then complains about another war which we probably will win.
I sincerely hope SC doesn't listen to these types of misconcieved perceptions of "mismatches"
I've survived numerous attacks from lvl 4 dragons as a th8, but not once from lvl 5 hogs. I think that the difference is that people don't just spam lvl 5 hogs and hope though, they actually strategize with them, use multi stage attacks with a KS, etc etc. Though I do wonder if the air buff won't push them into the unbeatable category now for 9vs8 dips.Quote:

I have seen opponents fail numerous times on a max th8 with double zap quake. A skilled opponent won't, obviously, but dragons at th9 is not usually the purview of skilled attackers.Quote:

Simple, never bring maxed th8s in war. My clan specifically hunts players like this. We tend to have at least 3 extra th9s in wars like this and it's funny seeing th8 trying to hog 2 dgb or dragons on 4 ad
Perhaps I don't give my clan enough credit lol. OUr th8 have become good hoggers so these dip attacks are not frequently needed but I think any of our th9 would be very embarrassed to fail on any th8 target . OUr weakest th9 accounts have become very proficient and hog, doublezapquake air , or GOVA depending on the target . NOne of them used dragons alone ... it was lavaloon , dragloon when using double zapquakeQuote:
