Clan War Fixes for the good of the game

LEVEL 7 CLAN CASTLE: I think it's a huge mistake to allow the clan castle to hold an extra REGULAR spell. I know people are complaining about the difficulty of 3 starring in th11, but this really runs the risk of watering it down. Th11 really needs a new troop and/ or troop buffing. Please reconsider this. If the max cc were to be able to hold 2 dark spells, I think it would be perfect. I was 3 starred yesterday on the first try, and this seldom happens, but he had a late heal spell that really allowed for it to happen. Don't take away all the hard work that goes into this game.

GIANT BOMBS: Please put back the 1.5x on hog riders. TH9 has really suffered big time. Either that, or give TH9 another bombtower. Give th9's a shot to defend themselves against th10's or these 9.5's that are too prevalent now by wiping out a pack of hogs.

SLIGHT BOWLER BUFF: They need a slight buff. Either weakened just a touch, or maybe worth more troop spots. The walking bowler is just too strong and redundant now.

FIX THE WAR MM: I know people keep saying they adjusted it, I just dont see it. I think close to a parody match is better overall. The wars are getting whackier and whackier. We can sugarcoat it all we want, but the reality is, clans are putting so much junk on the bottom, too many 10.5's and 9.5's, the wars are losing their identity. The th8's are getting shuffled back into oblivion, and th9 will be next. I've heard the maxer argument, and I understand they could have an advantage, but its better that way than the other. Everybody that tunes into play should be able to compete at a fun level. Th8's have nobody to attack but junk th4's with no defenses, needs to be addressed or you'll lose these players. We as human beings are always going to have the tendency to want to move upward. The majority of people that max out at th9, are gonna want to go to th10, and then 10 to 11, and then 11 is the end of the line. Maybe this could create a clan ladder system that gets recognized by all. If 50 max th9's want to stay there and max out to have an advantage and compete at that level, there will always be other th9 clans that want to compete. Let it be. Then there could be recognition for the top 50 clans. That could also create tournaments. Th9 tourneys,10's, 11's, etc. This would really freshen up wars and it would also give people the shot for recognition on the leaderboards. The endless wars with nothing in sight is stale now. A ladder system or tournaments would really brighten it up.

CLAN TROOP BANK: Please for the love of god, add this feature. We really want to deposit a ton of troops into a storage bin so we dont have to stare at the screen or be glued to the phone to hand out troops. Its gonna be 2017, make it happen.

But how do some sort of change that requires a minimum of defence to be in war.

Engineered bases should be out of war by addressing this it would have the effect of fixing the matchmaking and bring a new level of fair play. Simple as that.

I don't understand all the engineer hate just cause you can't blame modders doesn't mean engineers are bad. They add new dynamics to the game. I'm saying this as a maxer.

There's no reasoning with some people. The poster that you are responding to thinks that banning those who are playing within the rules would be acceptable so obviously has a wildly different definition of "fair play" to SC.

To address the OP:

It is too early to say if there is a problem with elixir spells in level 7 CCs. That a 3 star occurred does point towards it being a good move by SC to address the lack of triples at TH11.

TH9s should not be defending against competent TH10 attacks.

You are calling for a bowler nerf, not a buff. This is not consistent with your earlier position that troops should be buffed and will be rejected by most players.

You seem to think that a match where engineered bases are involved cannot be a parity match. It can. You then saying that you want maxers to have an advantage shows that you are actually not in favour of parity. BTW, you may want to look up the meanings of parody and parity. You have repeatedly been given advice on how to reduce the likelihood of matching engineered clans but you refuse to take any steps to ameliorate your clan's perceived mismatches, instead you are calling for the game to be changed.

I never said players should be "BANNED" for engineering. So that's putting words in my mouth. No, TH9's should not be defending against 'competant', well thought out th10 attacks, I agree 100000%... just not the monkey th10 spam valks and bowlers and jump spells with no thought. Nerf.... buff.. parody.. parity.. theres no need for the wisecracks when any adult of sound mind knows what I mean, Im assuming youre an adult. And no, I dont want maxers to have an advantage, Ive been on here since day 1 stating i dont want ANYONE TO HAVE AN ADVANTAGE... BUT, this is the lesser of two evils. Maxers would encourage other people to max, which is the good spirit of the game. Not everybody and the overwhelming majority of people who play this game are never gonna be max th11's... it takes too long, it takes some money to do it within a reasonable amount of time before losing interest, etc.. And there are alot of people out there who dont have the will to go to th10 or 11 and would like to compete at the th9 level, why not give those clans a platform? And I dont care what the TOS says about engineering being legal. I come on here everyday and im seeing threads of fellow engineers sharing thoughts and ideas on trying to figure out whats going on with the matchmaking so they can fineagle and figure out how to keep an edge on the matchups, WHICH IS PATHETIC to me. There is NO ADVICE to avoid engineered clans... i took the junk off my lineup last war and got paired against a clan with two extra th10's... if thats parity, then Im missing something. Those extra 4 attacks are RELEVANT. Even a smart man such as yourself can see that. The town hall on town hall attacking is dying in this game. It's so far gone. Everything is a clean up, BOOOOOOORING. The extra regular spell is BAD for th11. The ongoing theme in my opinion, engineers crying and defending engineering being legal, all the babies crying they cant 3 star in th11, seems to me the majority of the community are bad attackers, and are crying their way to compete, through engineering and softening the game... instead of the purists, maxers, and people that practice and put their time in (like myself) with attacking. I take it as a slap in the face. And i wont stay quiet about it. Nor will i stop coming up with ideas that i consider to be good for the game. We need tournaments, PARITY wars, clan troop bank, and we need to stop pandering to the bad attackers out there and stop making everything easy.

Maybe the Bomb Tower deal 1.5x damage to Hog Riders ?

I have a few problems with engineered bases. First, it is cheap and an unfair advantage. Call it what you want. Within ToS, fair play, whatever. It's cheap because people are exploiting game mechanics to give themselves an unfair attacking advantage. This might fit what is currently called "fair play" but that definition can evolve over time. I will give specific examples at the end of times where Supercell changed what we call fair play.

Second, engineering a base is something that someone can't decide to go back and do. I can decide to try a new attack strategy such as lavaloon or mass bowlers. I can try to design a new base, such as a ring style base. But downgrading buildings so I can try to attempt this engineered base strategy myself is literally impossible. The only way to try to do this is to begin another account, and more than likely spend a lot of gems to get caught up. It is something that only people with the time to begin another account from the very beginning can do, and not everyone has that.

Third, when people do a clan war, they expect a reasonable matchup. My clan has 3-4 TH10s, 5-6 TH9s, and 2-3 TH8s. We only do 10v10 because that's all we have. We expect another clan that has 3-4 TH10s, 5-6 TH9s, and 2-3 TH8s, depending on what we have. We understand if they have 1 extra TH10 and we have 1 extra TH9. That's how the matchmaking algorithm works. That's annoying at times but acceptable. But the war we had a few weeks ago where we had 3 TH10s and the enemy had 3 TH11s with TH11 level troops and grand wardens, it was totally unfair. They steamrolled us and got 30 stars. It was pointless for us to even try. That doesn't sound like "fair play" now does it?

Remember the days when people would attack a base and drop nothing but lightning spells on a dark elixir storage and then quit? Supercell put a stop to that by saying they didn't see that as a very skillful attack. Remember TH sniping and getting an easy shield? Supercell said, quite simply, that they didn't design the game to be played like that so they put an end to it. Engineered bases are next on the chopping block. I promise.
