Adjustment to war base weighting: defenseless/engineered bases
I don't fault anyone for playing within the rules SC laid out, and implementing tactics/strategies to help win a war. Bowlers are OP, so it's obvious TH11s should obliterate the TH10s with their Warden propelled max Bowlers. Dragons are OP early on, so mass dragon raids are recommended (and very effective).
Defenseless or engineered bases, however, seem to border on exploiting the matching algorithm designed/formulated to pair 'equal' opponents.
I am all for giving a non-maxed, engineered or defenseless base a lower weight. However, I do believe SC needs to re-evaluate the advantages maxed offensive capabilities provide. Maxed goblins and farm troops are very different than maxed drags/dark troops/lightening/etc. Most in war want a fair matchup; clans relying upon engineered bases are working hard to exploit a fair matchup.
To propose something, a minimum base weight for any TH8/9/10/11 could be one solution. It keeps variables simple, and could help reduce the standard deviation (aka significant opponent mismatches) that engineered bases currently introduce. I appreciate the difficulty of bringing up an engineered base, and am not suggesting the advantage be removed; I just don't believe it should contribute towards creating the war mismatches it does today.
