Cheaper walls are not fair to the players with older accounts

Although, the idea of cheaper walls has always been a popular request by most Clash of Clans players, lowering the price without compensating the older players who have put countless hours trying to earn those walls seem very unfair. I have been a vocal supporter of lowering the prices of the walls since I started playing this game and I have always believed it was a necessary update. However, due to the competitive nature of the game I and many other players felt it was necessary to upgrade the walls with the provided price. As a result many players like myself spent 100s of millions of gold on upgrading these walls which for many players could have taken months to achieve. lowering the price of walls without compensating those hardworking players feels like wasting months of hard work and very unfair.
I and many other players like me will appreciate if you could look into this matter and find a solution that suits all. Preferably a compensation of any kind would be a good solution, specially one where these players get the exact amount of spent gold on future upgrades of buildings or walls.

We, your most loyal and dedicated players have been severely disenfranchised with this move to cheapen upgrades to this long running game.

Max level walls are not essential to the game specially since the introduction of the earthquake spell. Many players have risen to the upper ranks of the legends league without them. They are a non essential ideal that many strive for.

After expending the massive cost in time and money in acquiring them. It is utterly devastating and unjust for you to modify the effort involved in acquiring this achievement. You have reduced the cost by 550 million in resource farming and not compensated any of those whom slaved and paid to acquire these walls originally.

This really is unjust and absolutely unfair. You have targeted and violated precisely the most loyal and devoted demographic of this games users. I like many many other previously loyal and committed players are at a loss. I honestly am considering putting this game down for good I am soo upset.
I too am a game developer in a small software company. I really dont understand how you could do this to your most loyal and devoted clients.

Please revert this move, its truly the most unfair move I have experienced by any game developer in my lifetime of gaming.

I don't have any lvl 10 or 11 walls (town hall 10 with lvl 12 points and skull walls because I really don't have the energy or time to dump a few million per wall).

I do still feel that players who ground them out should have some form of compensation. the problem, someone will be upset no matter what compensation is given, even if it is none.

if gold/elix: maxed people will complain they have no use of it, and will riot, or people who didn't get it will claim that it is a free bank of money to upgrade from now.

if gems: people will whine that they don't want to use gems for their gold and lix. outsiders would be annoyed that they don't get gems for endless boosts because they didn't get to jump on the wall train.

if none: people will complain that they don't get compensation

Some form of compensation needs to be given to these people. I believe people should be able to choose between a gold/elixir bank of a set amount (what invested), but they can only withdraw 1 mil per day from it, to stop it from allowing a ton of loot to be stored and be able to instantly buy an upgrade with no risk of losing it, or 25% gem compensation. just gonna say it flat out, that is a LOT of gems. If you want loot for upgrading, you go the 1st way. if you are maxed and want gems for boosting or stuff, choose the 2nd. the lower gem amount won't annoy people who don't get the chance. Also, if someone is running endless boost sessions already, and they chew through those gems, they are probably just about maxed and won't be able to make much use of it either way. the limited withdrawal from that resource bank would cause some to get thrown to the mm pool, which helps others, and avoids the ability to insta-buy upgrades. Gem % could be adjusted obviously.

Compensation doesn't need to be given. Quit crying about it. It's like anything else that you buy that becomes cheaper after you already bought it. I upgraded ALL my walls at TH9 to level 10 before I upgraded my TH to 10. I had the 25 new TH10 walls upgraded to level 10 too, and between 35-40 walls upgraded to 11 before this change took effect. AND I DO NOT CARE. Here's why. If you farmed for the sole purpose of upgrading walls, you are doing it wrong. I managed to upgrade my walls at TH9 while getting both my heroes up to level 25. I wasn't going all the way to 30 before upgrading. 25 was good enough. While at TH10, I upgraded all my buildings. If I had enough gold or elixir to upgrade a wall, and no builder free for 2-3 days, I would upgrade a wall segment to dump some of the loot. For example, if I had a 1 million gold upgrade for one of my new buildings, but I had 6.5 million gold, I would upgrade my walls until I had 1 million gold left so I could begin the building upgrade. I *NEVER* upgraded walls for the sole purpose of upgrading walls. Now my base is completely maxed with the exception of getting my wizard towers to level 9 and getting my heroes to 35-40, and completing all my lab upgrades (will still take until April-May). All I have to spend my gold and elixir on between lab upgrades is walls. So I don't care how much they reduced wall prices by because I didn't waste my time farming them. And like I said, if you farmed for the sole purpose of upgrading walls, you did it wrong.

And yeah 4 quakes can destroy walls. But that isn't a bad thing. That's forcing a player to commit 4 spell slots for relatively small value. Higher level walls forces players to either use quakes, jump spells, a ton of wall breakers, or air attacks. Level 8 walls and below are pretty much worthless because higher level troops chew through them like they're nothing. So quakes being able to destroy walls isn't overpowered or make walls completely worthless. If that was the case people wouldn't upgrade them. Plus, if you depend on 4 quakes for your attack, your attack is probably going to be a 2 star at best, so if your walls are upgraded to level 10 or 11, that makes it incredibly difficult for your troops to break out of the core with all the other defenses shooting at them. So there is still a ton of value in having high level walls.

Morober, your chosen strategy does not negate, does not address this truly unfair act.
Supercell has acted so brazen, so inconsiderate towards the most dedicated players. Some slaved for months/years. Some spent thousands... This is such a wrong act in a mass player game such as this that has been running for so very long...

You are allowed to feel the way you do, but you are the exception as almost all dedicated players are extremely upset and shocked...
I am stunned at the carelessness of this move.....
They dont deserve the loyalty of hardcore players if they can act in such a way...

I have all lv10s and 20+ lv11s. This is how I see it. My future work will now be easier and for those who are already max you can have bragging rights for being those who maxed it when things were more difficult. Do you believe when elixir walls came out people were mad? Of course they were but like then they didn't give anything to compensate and now I believe they won't either.

Are you actually kidding me right now? Sure, it may be slightly unfair, but if you honestly think that this is the worst game update you've ever seen, then you've either never played another game in your life, or you're a baby.
Don't be a baby. Grow up and get the crud over it. Maybe you lost a bit of gold. Big deal. Nobody cares.

How about a dark elixer refund for the hero upgrades? Or Elixer refunds for the troop level upgrades that are now cheaper? What about gem and cash refunds for those players who used cash to buy gems to upgrade things?

I understand why players feel this is unfair, I'm half way through LVL 10 walls and would have prefered them to stay as they were, but things change, get nerfed etc. Gotta move with it or move on.
