Clan chat is a safe space for locker room talk... if someone is so sensitive they can't handle clan chat content it's best they leave and find another clan. Hidden snitches in a clan is absolutely pointless.

Any clan housing trigger happy reporting nutcases deserves whatever happens, If you are in a mature clan there should be zero issues
I just sifted through the thread..
Why, as a member of an adult only clan, are you concerned? Are you afraid that your members aren't mature enough to not abuse the report button? If "inappropriate" chat is the cause for concern, then why do we have a button that can censor/filter foul language in clan chat (which was added not too long ago).
As a leader of an adult only clan myself, I don't give a hoot about the button or its functions. All our members are vetted. I trust each and every one of my members to not abuse the system. If you don't, then perhaps you should consider their membership.
Anything goes in the clan build by the leader and coleaders they decide what's inappropriate not some over sensitive crybaby who can snitch anonymously.
Ah. Ok then. My bad. Thanks for the info. :-)
But in that case the button seems pretty useless, no? Like you said, some clans are adult with explicit content and who are SC to decide what's ok or not?! And like someone else said, that it's there to prevent spamming or stuff like that, we already have an excellent button for it. It's called "kick". And for those not happy with adult conversation, they are probably better off finding another clan than trying to hit a "report" button.
Now I'm even more confused. Haha.
Not sure if it's been mentioned but I was experimenting and discovered that i could only report one of my mini accounts once from the same device. If I log onto a different account and try reporting the same person, I get a "youve already reported that player" message.
At least supercell is preventing persons with multiple accounts from abusing the clan reporting feature.
Multiple reasons.
No matter how solid your line up is, you'll always need to recruit other members. Anyone can report anyone, from a new member reporting a leader to the opposite. This means that new people only need to be in the clan for a few seconds to destroy it and cause innocents to be banned.
I'm also concerned about others using it to send reports against the leader or co's as vengeance for not putting them in war, even if their swearing in a clan that advertises that they allow swearing, since SC may or may not deem it necessary to take action in such a case. And would happen fairly often in adult only clans.
I'm triply concerned about people trolling others in the clan by being hidden snitches, reporting "inappropriate behavior" even in a clan where such behavior wouldn't be considered inappropriate. And that SC won't see it that way and end up banning innocents. One curse word in said adult only clan and ban, banned for inappropriate behavior. We don't know how deep SC looks into these things do we now?
Even a Co would do this to a leader if it mean't they were banned since they (or another co) would then become leader. Co's would do it to other Co's to shrink the pool of people that can possibly be offered the leader position if the leader were banned....you see where I'm going with this? And we don't even know that SC won't take action or will see the clan (or it's leader's) side of things, that since they advertise as a clan for adults only, meaning 18+, and they allow cursing, it wouldn't be inappropriate to swear there. Since we don't have evidence of them saying and proving this, we all need to be fearful now.
Just a single troll or hidden reporter or new player to the clan will absolutely wreak havoc and destroy it from the inside out.
The ways this can be horrifically abused are numerous, and if your just shrugging it off your either far too trusting of your fellow clan mates, know them all in real life, or somehow believe that a single bad member wouldn't take any chance possible to get those above them hurt and banned and steal power for themselves.
Adult clans have A LOT to fear from this unwanted, and unnecessary feature even existing. It needs to go. The potential for extreme and easy abuse if just far too high to let this stick around.
