we had a few wars back an TH11 with miners lvl 4 on place 28, our 28 was th6.
yes, true that the place reflects the place in the clan and not of the opponent but the total war weight of the opponents clan should be almost the same as yours. So it is very licklely that your mirror number is the same weight and, normally, meaning almost the same TH.

is it unfair? Yes because engineer d bases aren't the original idea of SC (I think....). CW isn't about a nr 28 3 starrring our nr 1 TH10.

but you won't get banned because SC does allow it. But does that make it fair? Engineered bases like this don't have anything to do with the idea of CW, 3 starring your opponent with a good plan.

dropping 48 lvl 4 miners against a th10 with heroes 40-38 and you only 5-5, wait 3 min and see a 3 star has nothing to do with a good fight.

As long as the MM is working properly and both clans have roughly equivalent offensive and defensive strengths then there is no need for this and it would just lead to increased search times for all clans.

OK aspex I have seen th9 engineered base placed under a th5 in a clans line up. I have seen th10 placed under th 6 and a th11 under a th7 in a enemy clan all with Max troops for their th level but way down in the war weight of a clan. Explain how that is far play.

And when a lower level clan say a level 5 or less is matched with a level 10 or better engineered clan now does that fit in to fair play.

It does not fit because it is unfair and directly affects the mm so needs to be addressed by SC. Not by you. We what something done about this.

So how about a % of completion of the current th level in including the defences for war weight before you can advance and those already engineered past that can't war until they fix them self's.

Any one support this plan.

Just because you have seen a TH9 below a TH5 , a TH10 below a TH6 and a TH11 below a TH7 on the map does not mean that those bases are matched with their opposite numbers as you stated. It only means that their defensive strength is lower than the bases above them, nothing more. It says nothing about their offensive strength, as you have been repeatedly told. It is fair as the offensive weight of that base will be taken into account by the MM, as you have also been told repeatedly.

That you are now bringing clan level into your flawed definition of what fair play should be shows that you really do not have even a basic understanding of MM or fair play.

You wanting to change the matchmaking when you so not even understand the simplest thing about it is worrying. Please actually learn about the MM, what changes SC have made and are continuing to make to it and their affect upon the matches that people are currently getting before you propose changes that would reduce the diversity of play styles and strategy currently available.

How am I wrong? When I say that an engineered TH9 isn't matched to a TH5? Nope, I'm right about that. Was it when I said that offensive strength is taken into account by the MM procedure? Afraid not, I'm right about that too. How about when I said that a base's map position only reflects relative defensive strength within its own clan? Nope, that's another thing that no one with even a passing knowledge of war would disagree with. Was it when I argued against 2 separate MM pools and clans being able to reject matchups? That was my opinion and so not right or wrong. What is it that you say that I am wrong about?

You, however, are wrong with your continued assertions of unfair play and when you say that engineers are "cheaters", going as far as to call for a ban on players playing within the rules. That is truly wrong, toxic and unacceptable IMO. They may be trying to obtain an advantage but it is not unfair and arguably not a great advantage. You are also wrong when you say that all posts in this thread apart from mine are supporting you. At least one other poster was not supporting the anti-engineer position with their post.

You guys are too obsessed with the numbering/mirror. Aspex is giving good advice here and it is just ignored. Yeah on my last war my #15 was a TH3, highest troop - lvl 1 barbs and enemy mirror #15 was a TH10 with lvl 4 drags with BK and AQ. Guess what? We kicked their butts hard. And the war before that too. Engineered/defenseless are overrated. I'm not saying they are useless, but they not the ultimate win strat that you guys are making it out to be. If it were literally everyone would be doing it, including you fellas.

First of all, a strict "mirror" attack is stupid. Clans that do that to us lose 90% of the time. Why? Ideal scenario - our #1 will attack 1&2, our #2 will attack #3&4, #3 vs 5&6, #4 vs 7&8... in theory you only need 10 players to wage a 20 man war. Now unless your clan has everyone on the same TH, mirror attacks will end up in trouble. It is easier for a #10 to attack #20, than to attack the enemy #10. In a 20v20 war, if your top 10 players are elite, you can win the war already. When you do a mirror hit in this scenario, you "waste" attacks. Why am I explaining this? To show that your "number" or "place" is insignificant. Nobody gives a rat's. Especially at the bottom because they are negligible.

The only thing engineering does is "buy" you one extra attack. I say one because you are supposed to 3 star at least once anyway, and you trade that in with a definite loss of 3 stars too. So yeah really it's just to buy ONE extra high level attack. Taking my last few wars as example, me and my mate are maxed out TH10s sitting at the top. We only have two TH10s. Enemy had 5x TH10s. Their top two, and three at the very bottom. We three starred all of them except the top two - two starred. Enemy 3 starred all of us too, except me and my mate - one star each. Why? their combined offense is diluted, they have 5x TH10s that are mid level, with lvl 10-20 heroes vs. my mate and I who are completely maxed, including lvl 40 heroes. Best they can do is one star. Sure they have 2-3x more attacks than us at the top, and they bulldoze our TH9s etc, but it didn't matter. We were more efficient in our attack.

Which brings back what Aspex tried to explain. Screw the numbering. You guys need to assess the enemy in its entirety. Get obsessed and hung over your number/placing/mirror/loot and you lose the war. I'm on a 12 win streak now - I know how it is.

War weight should be counted like this:
If someone upgrades townhall, his war weight will be calculated normally as current calculation.
But if his war weight is lower than maximum weight of lower TH, his weight will be set as max weight of lower TH.

So for example:
Max TH9 weight is 70 000
if anyone upgrades to TH10, his weight will be 70 000 and higher
(so TH10 engineers with real weight for example 15 000 will have 70 000 as minimum weight for TH10)

This is easy idea to solve this problem and also easy to implement

We definitely need a calculation like this. If they moved to the next Th, the actual TH should be counted in the war weight as a large weight. I would add more weight on troops.

If this can't be done it should be a heavier emphasis on troops rather than defence for calculating war weight.
