For the second time in a row, I've spent 35 tickets and got a pile of firewood. This game is starting to be a real joke....at least give something good for 35 tickets...not firewood twice in a row.

Those tickets don't cost you diamonds though, do they? It's just a reward for helping people out within the game. It's randomly generated. SC doesn't control what it gives to you, so don't say the game is becoming a joke over this. You just got unlucky, it happens! Hoping for a better prize next time :)
Ahh gift cards.
They can be frustrating, I have resigned myself to only ever getting the 10 Card package to try win Diamonds 3-4 times a week and just buy my own decorations.
Much less stressful that way.
I got a flower for 35 . It costs 20 coins and i already had 28 of those stored lol
i think I took the 35 package once and got some kind of plant XD. I usually get either 10, 20 or 30, depending on my level of patience that particular time. Sometimes I get the tool package for 5, if i'm looking for mining tools.
I like getting the trees, but I'm not sure why as I don't have room for much Deco on the farm and I never use the trees (as I have tons of the fruit trees!) XD I like trees, other people think the trees are a terrible prize. They can't please everyone all the time, but I do agree that the prizes could be rearranged according to their game value.
We get the vouchers free every day for doing stuff we'd do anyway (filling friends crates & watering their plants) so I just see it as a 'bit of fun' to see what's in the mystery box. I keep getting the pink flowers...it makes me roll my eyes but that's all. It's not worth a second thought IMO.
I understand your feelings from the free gift you get after helping a friend and collecting Xp or coins dependant on the help. I would like to say the tractors, musical instruments and other cool deco look good for a free item on my farm and that even though I do get firewood occasionally its still free. Just try to do a derby help task then the rewards for reaching the hurdles and being in the top three with the other free deco will balance your broken heart.
I, first, had no accordions and now I have about 6! And I didn't even get them from the gift cards! I got them through the wheel of fortune. At least its not stored in the barn. Although, it would be nice to know the price of the items even if you have some stored.
I think it's a pity we can't sell deco items. I see people desperately wanting musical instruments that I've got dozens of in store, & nowhere to put them all, from winning them on the wheel of fortune
@ Midori669: If it's for sale, than you can see what it costs.
Put all your accordions on the farm and you'll either see NO accordion anymore ore you see the price :D
I got 4 stakes last night. Yay for me. The cards are a nice addition we "older" players didn't have in the beginning. While I am not always happy with what I get. I still accept it with thankfulness. Most of my gnome collection came from those tickets. i have gotten jam, sugar, diamonds, assorted decorations. Etc. I have noticed lately tho the gifts aren't as "nice" but I don't really need another gnome now do I?
Besta, that is the most ludicrous post you have ever written here, duh.
OF COURSE YOU NEED MORE GNOMES!!
And in that note, I'm off to pick up a few (or a dozen) more caterpillars. The caterpillar corps could use an influx of new recruits.
And with all those nimble feet, they can wrap all the presents REALLY FAST!!!
I've received so many bird houses for 35 vouchers that I've used them to form a fence!
I've also had a lot of woodpiles, and pink and purple flower beds. That doesn't stop me ordering from the gift catalogue, and anxiously watching Alfred deliver the parcel. With a great sense of expectation, I tap it...
I guess I'm just a born optimist! (And I do have two tractors)
If the OP is that disappointed at the ticket prize, he/she must really be bummed when you get 2 or 3 "spin again" on the WOF and then only gets 1 Wheat.
The whole thing is there are millions of players that all want something, and may never get it. I had 2 Windmills before I knew they were something special. I really didn't like the BRT, till I actually won it. Now it sits proudly on my farm. Just enjoy the games and the excitement of opening the package. :)
I'd guess the OP's post isn't so much about disappointment as it is about how it clearly isn't random with what we receive from the gift packages. Or at least for me it is.
Every single one of us gets something repetitively. It is truly like your assigned a category which dictates what you are most likely to get. Some items some farms just never seem to get at all. Ever. And that's more of the disappointment. Particularly when you see a friend's farm where they get that item over and over and probably want what you get over and over and over again.
It isn't that you didn't get what you wished for. It is that you know there are certain things you'd love but you don't seem to ever be able to get. No matter how many times you try.
As for it not costing anything, that was an unnecessary and possibly untrue barb. People might well have earned tons of these vouchers by spending diamonds on filling boats... or even the loss they take when filling a crate compared to what they can get for that item in their rss...
Saving gift cards for 5 days and getting a tree I don't want is way worse than getting a wheat on the WoF. At least I have another free spin the next day.
They should let us choose the prize we want to be disappointed with. I haven't seen the accordion in weeks!
Oh gosh, I just won the guitar last night after weeks and weeks of silly plants. I was like "winner winner taco dinner" dancing around my house!!
Now if I could just land that saxophone....
Sounds exactly like me when I won the windmill... I let my daughter spin the winning spin and she thought I was nuts :saywhat:
That being said, it is free... if we could buy everything, there would be nothing to aim for. I may spend the next 3 years trying to finish my fish book, but what will I do when it is full?
Lol. So happy bikes aren't on wof anymore (knocks on wood). I once made a wall with them :)
Sorry you are disappointed with your prize for vouchers. I understand!
Creeping up on my 5th anniversary playing Hay Day. Still wondering when i will win a Big Red Tractor. My friends and relatives who play all got theirs early in their games, and now have multiples. Seems like my farm code dictates no free BRT!
Hanging onto my last shred of hope...

That's what always happened to me when I kept trying for the accordion, for months in the gift card catalogue. It really got frustrating, never got it there. But the accordion was later put in the wheel of fortune, now I have 5 or 6 accordions!
But I agree with you. For 35 tickets, should get more than just one of something!
I have found my people! I feel your pain. I know your pain.
Look what I just got for 25 tickets.

Like a slap in the face, wrapped in a cheerful red bow. :p
I've also received trees and firewood in exchange for 35 tickets. A splinter from a real-life plank would hurt less. :(
I keep getting its pink friend
I just keep telling myself it's free, I'd do the helps anyway, so it doesn't matter...
...it doesn't always stop me scowling at it! XD
It's a LOT less annoying than not getting any Derby Deco!

The Head Gardener needs re training, he obviously over planted!
It's free. Yes. That doesn't mean the system can't be improved.
I haven't heard anyone complain about the derby checkpoint rewards. That's because there is no such thing as a "bad" reward. We get to pick what we want for each checkpoint.
Imagine applying that system to the gift card rewards. At least we can choose what we want...not another unwanted prize randomly given to us.
This system is flawed. Can be better...much better.
The complete randomness of prizes just makes no sense to me. I have had great rewards for 10 or 20 gift cards - multiples of jam, candy or ice cream for example (I'm pretty sure I got 4 chocolate ice creams for 10 gift cards once). As I prefer stuff I can actually use or sell, I like those prizes. But sometimes I'll spend 20 gift cards and only get 1 LEM or 1 shovel or 2 dynamites - something you'd expect in the 10-card package. And then people spend up to 35 gift cards and get a pile of firewood or a tiny floral decoration that can be purchased for... what, around 80 coins? Free or not, there's no logic or consistency in the prizes and I don't like that. It shouldn't be like the WoF where you may get something super exciting or end up with a wheat regardless of your input.
I commiserate -- and/or shrug -- with you, depending on whether you throw internal hissy fits (like I do) or take it maturely and sensibly in stride. :D
Scowling along with you all at those "pink friends" :D
As for these prizes being "free." I suppose there's an argument for that. But SC puts a diamond value on each ticket. I can't remember exactly what the exchange is. I think it's 3 diamonds per ticket.
So, when you turn over 35 tickets, you could say it's the equivalent of coughing up 105 diamonds (if I've got the exchange rate right).
Randomness in rewards is a powerful psychological reinforcer of behavior. It's how a lot of addictions are born and fed. Ask almost any mouse running a maze in a laboratory somewhere. They'll tell ya (if you can communicate in rodent-speak or the mouse speaks human).
People, our misery is by design. And they know what they're doing.
Edit: That last sentence sounded really bleak. Like we're trapped in a dystopia of gift cards and painted flowers. I didn't mean it that way, you guys :D
Here's Teddy the Porcupine to wish you a Merry Christmas. (His teeth are crazy, but I  this little guy.)

I wish I'd chosen Gin last night! I sent a large glass of red wine flying over my iPad, iPhone, Christmas stamps, batteries,
remote control, table, floor, walls...like I didn't have enough to do already!
Oh I totally agree, the system is properly rubbish. It's just not a thing/problem that bugs me enough to do anything about it.
There isn't any rhyme or reason for it...other than to annoy us XD
Oh, I thought it was just me! :) No free BRT and no windmill either. Got my first "toothless freak" around 3rd year of play. And then I got 2 more! :)
I second the suggestion to just stick with 10 GC packages or other specials. It's too soul crushing to get useless cheap decos after collecting cards for a week.
