Would you have just kept your storage full and not used the loot on anything? And for the grand logic: "I would have used it on something else".. what about when those were completed? Stopped playing until the reduction you never knew about came around?
This entitlement is silly - and I suspect life will be hard for you when you realize things in life change. Feel proud you completed your walls.
You should think before you are so insulting. By using this example and by admitting you don't even understand the position of those who disagree with you, you are not complimenting yourself. We are talking about a competitive game, not purchasing consumer goods. Millions of players just woke up one day and found themselves half a BILLION worth of loot closer to those who already finished level 11 walls. It has nothing to do with the "refund" as much as the "progress" in the game. Players don't like that their half a billion of progress ahead of other players was suddenly wiped out. Think more about the issue so you can see both sides before you come on here insulting others.
The entitlement argument both ways. I think the people complaining about the cost of walls and asking for them to be cheaper so it is easier for them than those who already accomplished it are the ones who sound entitled. Those who want to keep their 500 million worth of progression ahead of newer players aren't asking for something for nothing. They are asking to keep their progression advantage that they already had. That doesn't sound entitled to me. (Ok, those asking for gems do sound a little entitled lol. The more reasonable request is for compensation in the form of loot, probably to use on level 12 walls.)
Great perspective 2222. But I have a strong suspicion that there aren't as many people with max walls as indicated on here. There are also more players than not that have said nothing (because they don't post here). My walls aren't maxed yet, but I spent a pretty penny on them. I've also had times where my collectors are full and the only thing to really do is use them on my walls. In no way would I have kept the full even if I anticipated the reduction in costs.
You mention it's a two way street, but I assume there are plenty out there who didn't even recommend or ask for the reduction but are pleased to see it. I also assume there maxed out bases who aren't upset as well. In the grand scheme of things, this is a good move to help push people to higher levels to keep the game competitive with more active players - which directly impacts the enjoyment of people with maxed out walls whichever side of the fence they are on.
It's funny because I'd bet less than 50% of people complaining don't have maxed out walls or bases. Oh and don't let forget, no one spent any money on walls.
Like i I said previously, go ask Apple for a refund. They were granting them to people last year with the PBT. LMK how that goes!
If the discount on walls causes this sort of a ruckus imagine what would happen if SC allowed upgrading heroes in wars?
No you think before you speak.
What a specious argument... (look it up)
Specious - superficial and misleading made to appear plausible, but actually wrong...
Physical items dropping in value because of natural ageing is called depreciation
Arbitrarily cutting players of their advantage in a long running game by robbing them of their efforts/money spent and achievements is called shafting your most loyal and dedicated players.
This is the most careless, inconsiderate and appalling move I have ever seen form a RPG type game.
Completely unprecedented....shocking a room full of supercell employees thought this ♥♥♥♥ up and not one person spoke on behalf of the actual players they are screwing... the same players who contributed the most to the success of supercell.
