Just unbelievable... Lets say the price on the walls stayed the same. Lvl12 would have been 5 or 6 millions. In the next few updates they will let all 300 walls to be upgraded(50 per update I guess). You would have to grind whole 300 ivories for 1.5 or 1.8 billion. Now it will be 1.2. So no one loses anything, everyone gains in long term.

So you get a discount on the former last level of 1 mill a piece ? ... 240 mill .. sounds like a lot, but wait a minute.. how many of those wall pieces actually matter ? Flying units, hogs, bowlers, jump spell, quakes... The actual benefit of this discount is minute. You all know it very well... grinding all the wall pieces are just for show off and has no bearing on the actual gameplay. Would you also complain and give up your accounts if they gave a discount on the decorations ? sheesh.
I think all those Stan and Pam Herberts complaining about wall price reduction they should be recompensed to some degree, how about a free box of Kleenex?
Wouldn't want those tears dripping down on to those medals they so admiringly have adorning their chest, salt can be quite corrosive.
I lost my competitive edge. The lvl of the wall is just an arbitrary number. It does not mean anything. What is important is the difference in your walls compared to your war adversary because that gives you a competitive edge. By discounting walls, my competitive edge will erode much faster than I anticipated. If SC wants to put everyone on the same playing field and make wars fair, they should just give everyone max walls.Quote:

Lol the amount of loot they reduced the walls by is more than enough to max out a th lvl.
Reducing wall cost by that much is like giving all th9s 2 upgrades for free on every building in their base. (just have to wait out the times)
I personally waited at th9 to max my walls, I bought gems and maxed my heroes so all I needed to do was wait for the walls. And I sat there for 2, 3 months. Farming farming farming.
And now SC decides that walls are too expensive effectively wasting about 1-2 months of my time farming.
Not quite. How many war starts do you have got? I don't like the price reduction either but I think you probably got at least 200+ more war stars during the 3 mil period.Quote:

There is nothing I can do to decrease the cost of a wall, the total amount of loot in the game does not affect the cost of a wall. The amount of money the game has made in the past week doesn't not affect the cost of a wall. The amount of walls does not affect the wall cost, and the amount of players that have said walls does not affect the cost of walls.
All these situations affect a real economy. The reason iPhones drop is because a new one comes out, and like idiots everyone gets rid of their own wall. So the cost of an iPhone is directly determined by the consumer. To the people that buy old used phones it's a nice change. To the people that want the new stuff everytime it's also nice. Because they got the greatest and best estimate but it's still their choice.
Walls are not in any way like this, the cost was changed based on the whim of supercell!
Further more sale items are not like walls either, because in real life the cost that I paid for my iPhone and the cost you paid for yours doesn't matter. But this game is a competition. It's all about (atleast for some) getting that base maxed and finishing everything up. So when you go around changing the time and effort it takes to get a key item in the game, of course players will be upset. Especially those that spent the full time and effort to do it!
Changing the cost of walls by this much is like comparing 2 people on a run. One person has to run 2/3rds of a mile the other runs a mile. But their times are evaluated as if they both ran the same distance.
As I stated before, an easy fix to this whole mess would be to make the game progressive, you gain more loot and upgrades cost more as you level up.
So I gained war stars during that time. Yes I'm not gonna lie I did. But that wasn't the reason I was staying at th9. I stayed at th9 to finish my walls so I would be more competitive at th10.Quote:
