I don't know of any upgrade in CoC which does not increase as the levels increase. The game has been designed as such. As new content has been added, SC has made adjustments. I fully expect this to be ongoing as CoC gets a TH12 (Don't expect it in 2017 but certainly in 2018).
Trust me, that's not happening over upgrade cost reductions. Supercell has shown that they are willing to stick to their guns on most things and that's not going to change with something like this. Remember the huge uproar that was December 2015? So many people said they quit and complained and supercell just didn't listen and here we are today. The games still fine and raking in money for supercell. This is not nearly as big as that nor is it as much of a game changer for people. People aren't gonna stop playing and spending money.
I agree the new wall prices are better. I agree that SC can legally change upgrades, loot etc prices anyway they see fit. However, anyone has to recognize the natural frustration, dissapointment, etc it causes for players when SC starts selling base features for such staggering sums less than they were previously sold - up to $600mm in loot in the case of the walls. I'm just very surprised that for a correction this large SC doesn't do something to address this natural reaction- anything:. Free gems, gem discount, or ideally apply the "overpayments" towards other base upgrades. Ideally they should find a solution that rewards these player a lil better- the whole idea is to encourage upgrades, right? Sure, they legally don't have to, and it's good to adjust the game but why not try to preserve players' base value when they make large changes? Doesn't that make for better goodwill and a stronger gaming community? I'm just surprised they don't even try. Thats. all
I'm in the camp where I just dont care anymore... They have done this so many times and it's just part of the game and part of business when the newest latest update model replaces the old one and the old version is reduced in price
But I along with countless others would still like this addressed.
Why couldn't they just acknowledge it with a quick statement
Hey guys we realize a lot of you have put in lots of hard work or hard earned gems to get max level walls and heroes and by reducing prices we do not in anyway mean to undermine you and but took his decision for the future of the game and keep introducing new people etc etc
Mods- obviously SC has shown time and time again the inability to communicate efficiently and effectively with the community
But the mods could easily see this backlash coming... Did you warn SC? Why wasn't there a statement acknowledging this at time of update? Just a couple of lines would help mediate this....
