Thank you for the post.Jumped to my tablet immediately to catch some cute fish.I have 32 lures and fully expanded fishing area.It helps a lot.

Prizes a bit limp so far
10lb - two blue vouchers

100lb - three planks
190 lbs - four gold vouchers
360lb - .?. Hoping for a new pixel prize

Prizes are nice, but a good catch is what I'm about! I've caught:
3 Nile Perch - 11.5lbs
1 Nile Perch - 12.2lbs
2 Lake Sturgeon - 13.3lbs
Hoping to get some more of my fishing book unlocked as well but for some reason I haven't had good luck with this in a long time...but those whoppers are jumpin!!

I'm also disappointed it isn't deco. It's just so much nicer when it is, especially for a fishing event which I hate. I don't have the patience for all the messing about it takes, especially the week before Christmas!
Does anyone remember what the previous fishing global goal was? This one seems really high, but I can't remember what it usually is.

Last year was boats... with the snowglobe being the 5th goal prize. Looks like the global prize was the sleigh full of presents. Each small goal was rewarded with Christmas deco however.
I had to laugh, I posted in this old thread that I wanted reindeer as a reward. Those little cuties are still on my wish list!

You know what nets are good for? If you know you are going to be away for say a weekend camping trip with no wifi. That's when I like to use nets. I try to keep some in the tackle box for times like that.Quote:

Catching 8 event fish per trip through the fishing area allowed me to catch 366 lbs of fish in 14 hours - - a personal record fast finish for me.
Also - I dedicate 4 fields to a fishing timer and plant crops that relate to the recharge times if the fishing spots: indigo, pumpkin, cotton, and chile. Then I can see at a glance if any spots are ready to fish again, and if they are not, how much time until they will be ready.
I used to feel exactly the same way, until I discovered the strategy behind catching those 10+'lb whoppers. I love it now & im done with 400+lbsQuote:

I loath fishing as well, currently at 193lb and have deeds, saws,bolts and mallets so far. Will keep going once I have more lures made as I want that gingerbread house. Disappointed that no other decorations in prizes.....

Overall pretty happy with my rewards as 4 of the 5 are useful to me. Getting 5 barn tools at the last one was great.
Managed to get one more gold weight fish to my collection, the Carp.

So only using Blue & Purple vouchers now, saving the others.
We just reached 150.000.000 in the global score.
