In all the time I have played Hay Day I have only ever seen two avatars - Greg's and Tom's when they buy something off my rss. The rest of you are gingerbread to me, I'm sorry to say. I've always assumed it's because I don't use Facebook.

I'm pretty sure it is FB avatars we are seeing.

Oh yes! He's as helpful as ever and I appreciate all his visits. He brought the HUGEST watering can the other day & he slaps his farm name on plenty of crates...I just miss seeing his picture :(

So I logged out of Facebook and disconnected Facebook from my farm, exited and voila! You are all gingerbread to me (like Cowslips) :unsure:

This whole avatar thing is confusing. FB is for sure the common denominator. I can even see avatars of ppl in dd, which I assume are from their fb pages, although they are not friends or neighbours, then avatars like snoopy are gone, so I assume they were gc only. And them I have a neighbour from fb, not from gc whose avatar has gone as well!!!

Is that friend a regular gingerbread man? I have seen a different avatar when looking on a friend's farm who has Facebook. One of her neighbours had a male silhouette and another a female one. She said it was because they had chosen not to display an avatar in Facebook.

I think like Tiggerr says about people who use FB... I don't usually log out. Once I log out, my avatar goes.

I am not a frequent Facebook person, but some may be logged out, some logged in and not really thinking about it.

yes, a regular gingerbread, also, since the friend book came up, one of my gc friends added me, I imagine I was found here as gc friends cannot be added from the game. In her farm's name she gives a fb name, yet no avatar.
