So I just bought a town pack deal, had 200 diamonds on offer. Now that I have it I finished expanding my bakery and BBQ and used a few on pie oven. I have about 130 diamonds left. Shall I save them to expand the sauce maker?
I have 2 feed mills, dairy, sugar mill, bakery, BBQ all fully expanded - 9 slots. Rest of the machines are 3-4 slots.
I'm 2 levels away from the Sauce maker.
Solely my opinion, but yes. Other than soy sauce, they are all short "cooking" time items (mayo especially!)
Also, stock up on olive trees! I find I go through olives like crazy between olive oil and mayo.

Sauce Maker is well worth opening all/most slots.
Soy Sauce aside everything is made quickly, when going to bed/work I'll load it up with 9 different things and it will all be ready the next morning. [unless of course as stated earlier, you load it with a lot of Soy Sauce]

However, that depends on how you play too. I try to keep all machines running 24/7 (obviously it's virtually impossible with some, such as the coffee machine), but other people just make x number of a product then let the machine sit idle until those are used up.
Dont rush into it, just see which makes sense for the way YOU play :)
I've maxed every machine except the jam maker, the smelters and the sushi bar. The ice cream maker and cake machine might have been overkill, but I like to keep things moving!
I was in a similar boat.... level 68 now and the sauce maker should have just been max slots as soon as I could. I try to keep a few diamonds for derby etc, but the sauce maker runs 24/7 and I cannot keep up.
Bear in mind, however, that I do the town aggressively so I probably use more stuff than most.Quote:

for me I do have all 9 slots in the sauce maker and very much need them. As others have said keeping up with olive oil and mayo for sandwiches and salads isn't all that easy. The tricky one about that is that mayo needs an olive oil to produce.
I can still queue several quick sauces and a few soy sauce at night. Besides soy sauce everything in the sauce maker is pretty fast to make.
If I remember correctly when you unlock the sauce maker the only thing you can make on it is soy sauce for the first several levels. With its production time it doesn't seem like you need so many extra slots yet. However soy sauce is a very easy sell and easy to make since it only needs crops. During the levels you can only make soy sauce it's an excellent way to keep that machine loaded and running towards those mastery hours.
You can only make soy sauce at the start, as Kolonistje says. It's made of just soy and wheat, very easy. It will sell very fast (and you have nothing you can make with it initially, before you get sushi at a later level)... but you might have a better outlet for it than the DD, depending on your neighbourhood. Because the other sauce products are both fast to make and hard to make enough of, any higher level neighbours may well run low on soy sauce, as they'd make it overnight, probably at the end of a queue of olive oil... so they often run low. Someone like me would glady swap you a few stray sems or bems for it, so try asking your neighbours if anyone is interested in a soy sauce helper for a few gifts in exchange.
Filling it up and keep making soy sauce. Only thing you have to keep an eye on is soy. Make sure you grow enough soy.
I have had many times my soy came to 0.... (feeding animals, making soy sauce) Having NH makes it more easy to get new soy, but it's quite annoying.
Maxing out the machine and keep filling it is the best idea. And selling for top price or negotiate lems/sems/tems :D
Once you have slots open in the net maker you then get everything from there without having to provide ingredients, and with no cost to you (unless you choose to make magic nets, when diamonds come into play).Quote:

You can only hold 6 Lobsters or Ducks anyway, then you need room for lures too.
