Hi I heart here that range 100-200 is good for farming. So I went down there. And it is.
Its much more fun too: no waiting caus you can raid all the time. You have to be very active thou, caus the loots are not that big.
Is there an explanation why its good farming there or just a bug in match making or available loot. Its a very hard line, when your above 200 your out of the feeding grounds.
I realized either the 900-1000 range is good or the 0-200 range is good. The 0-200 range is good because it has players that bought all the mines and collectors but gave up on the game. So you'll find 50-100k sometimes simply because they haven't done anything in a few days to weeks
but that does not explain the very hard line of 200. above 200 you find only loots of 100 max. From 199 down, its a total different world
All the high end players TH8-TH9 ect. Came down a while ago because of all the loot, it used to be amazing for farming but now it's still ok. I would only recommend going down there with level 5 troops.
I haven't ventured down there so I can only theorize. I'm around the 900 range for farming and I'm happy with finding 150k loot. Are you saying there is more than 100-150k loot down in the below 200 range?
The matchmaking changes at below 200, probably to help new players.
It is based on TH, so you go up against towns that are similar in TH to yours.
Mostly it is farmers farming each other.
There are but they are defended to great. But there are a lot of 20k-50k raids that are very easy to get. You have to use so few troops that you can keep raiding. 20-50k in 3 mins beats 100-150k in 30 mins.Quote:

At th7 I am doing exactly what the op is saying only using 15-20 troops for the most part. It is alot faster down there than at the range you are saying due to there being little to no defense. I think that if folks read between the multiple posts.. 0-200 is not anywhere close to what it used to be. A good player can earn very close amounts in the 900-1200 range.
900-1200 you still see abandoned bases.. and you dont get attacked or dropped nearly as often. You will see the occasional huge raid that gets posted
If you are stubborn, and want to drop all of your trophies down...
0-200 has gold and elixir, usually smaller targets, but if you are TH8 or higher, your gonna get matched with higher level players 9 out of 10 times. The vast majority of the the folks that stay down this low are smart enough to spend their gold out or know that the revenge they deliver is going to be worse than the take. Like Media posted earlier, there are a lot of folks that look for folks trying to come down and farm. Farming farmers happens.. fact
I small piece of advice for folks heading down there. If you choose to one drop a troop on a high level guy, dont be surprised if you get raided. Its a major hassle to drop troops and stay low. If you log off for more than 1 minute, you will climb up 150 cups within no time.
If you have a max base with max troops you can survive down low with right strategies. To be honest Im not sure its worth it anymore. The raid amounts have dropped greatly after the last update. If you clan search the top farming clans, check out where folks are at. The vast majority are not below 200 cups.

I'm just trying this out caus I read about it here. Maybe it was better but its still not bad and fun for a while, I think.
Its much more active. In higher trophie ranges its mostly a waiting game. I raided yesterday for one hour and a half non stop. I generated the troops faster then I used them. And in that time I raided 600k gold and 700k elixir. Not great numbers but not bad. When I was 1300 I could raid 4-5 times in 1 1/2 hour and on average it did not take more or even less. And I use less elixir to generate my troops caus they are now all barbs, archers and goblins.
But my original question is why goes the loot up when your under 200?
Its not to help new players, caus high level players are now down there to raid on them.
Im not sure the loot goes up. You just see he masses of farmers that have historically stayed low. The larger targets are typically farmers and wannabe farmers.
Again, you see abandoned bases but not nearly as much as previous. You can see those same bases as you drop down from 900 and occasionally in that range.

The loot goes up when your under 200. And it is a hard line. 201 is too high.
If your higher then 200 and your dropping trophies to get under 200 you even have to stop the raiding session to get the higher loot. If you keep raiding the loot stays the same (even if your 100) and you don't see the higher level players.
If you stop the raiding session and start again your in a total other world or even dimension. Lots of high level players and higher loots.
And it are not abandonned bases. They are upgrading stuff.

I think your question on why there are more higher level targets has been answered above more than once. I was merely stating that the loot percentages relative to whats in collectors do not change, and that if the intent of someone is to look for easy targets, its not simply isolated to below 200 cups.
The bigger bases with higher amounts your are mentioning are farmers for the most part. Your post header "Why so good to farm?", I was merely explaining that if you are looking for consistent repeatable resources, that below 200 cups may not be the most viable path for the majority.
If you want to come down and check it out, like others have posted, there are plenty of poeple that will help you spend your gold.
went from 1600 to 300, couldnt even make it to 200. I gave up and now climbing to 1000-1200 level where I usually farm.

IT'S ANNOYING. takes oorever to get under 200. and sometimes down there it takes a while IF SOMEONE ATTACKS me and i my townhall is out there. I gain like 100-200 trophies so i guess if ur active it might be worth it but i'd rather just spend time looking for 120k+ targets at 1100-1300.
My GOD I have some time on my hands before my next builder thought i'd come down here and I have to say it's excellent for TH9 people - EVERY push i made at 190-180 was a 200k gold farmer ...for 7 pushes

ok call it what you will but 15-20 cycles to 150-200k at 1200 cups and 1 cycle to the same down here. My builds are taking a loooong time anyway so couple mil gold a day is cool
And i'm always on chatting so thats no problem, dropping down takes 2 mins when you know how.

That depends on what you want, farm the farmers or the easy towns. I go after the easy ones with just a couple of barbs archers and goblin. Max 20-30 total, but sometimes only 4 or 5 gobs. Personally as i had a wiz tower and xbow on upgrade i'd have used the drags in two bunches bottom and top so i would have got the gold store at the bottom that was untouched - just a hint.

On a good day you never need to take a break to wait for troops to build.
After th8 I noticed a clear change in looting, the opponents are just that bit tougher that you have to wait for troops more often. It will probably even out after troops are at lv5, but for the moment I'm back above 1000 and enjoying it too. Different tactic, but loot is still great.
Farming - particularly at that level - is strictly for people who upgraded their TH's too fast...
If you're a legit TH8, with appropriate upgrades (and know what you're doing) you should be able to hang at 1600-1800 trophies without any issues, and get plenty of resources.
Having high level members hang at 200 trophies - or even 1,000 trophies for that matter - and "bottom feed" is an eyesore, and not the spirit of the game.
Bottom line, people: stop upgrading your TH's too quickly and you won't have to resort to this foolishness.

Honestly between my TH5 -> TH7 journey farming between 1k -> 1.3k trophies is best. Always 150k -> 300k loots found. Plus, doesn't tarnish the clan trophies overboard.

Besides, no worries about higher town hall levels attacking lower ones since they have the loot penalty. :D
I have max collectors an I still go down under 200 cups just for the great raids.It doesn't cost nothing for searches because first couple of bases will be packing top resources.An as for the worthless trophies who cares.It's all about upgrading an getting stronger an with all these new additions of stuff if you don't want to spend a fortune on gems sub 200 is the place to be.As with anything the rewards out way the risks.an I have plenty of shields off people so most of the time you can sit there comfortably.;)
