Clan Ranks

Honestly I'd prefer they added a WoW-Like clan ranking system. Where you can make as many ranks as you see fit, and name them literally anything. You can then go into that rank and decide exactly what powers it does and doesn't have, toggling them on and off.

It really wouldn't be hard to implement, and would better serve the game. Especially when you only want X number of Co's and Elders per clan but everyone wants advancement.

Having the ability to create your own ranks and assign what powers they do and don't have would be best.

Depends. Like I said before, there are alot of ways you could go. But WoW's Clan Rank system would work the best.

You can create as many ranks as you wish on your own, then name them yourself, including Leader. After that, you can toggle on and off what powers X rank has.

Think leader is bland? Go with High Warlord. Want 15 ranks between leader and member? Do it. Name them all different things and give them different powers. That simple.

Our ranks would become littered with filth and innuendo for our own entertainment then we would risk offending an enemy clan and get ourselves into trouble.

Currently system is OK I think.

That may be appropriate for WoW but I don't think that would work for clash tbh. There are only so many functions to go around. Else it would just be a title for decoration only, no?
You can be member or 'glorified member' kinda thing?

If you don't want Filth and Innuendo don't join an 18+ clan that advertises that they allow swearing in the clan chat. That simple.

That being said, that wouldn't happen since those ranks are publicly seen and not privatized like clan chat from the outside world. And if it did, the people involved would simply get banned.

The current system isn't okay. We need to be able to make up custom ranks, and decide what powers each rank has. Giving us a Clan rank system like WoW's would be perfect. Not being WoW is a good game, but it simple did Ranks perfectly. It's also the most commonly understood example, even if this does occur in many other games as well.

Not to mention we need more room for advancement. Alot of people only want 3 or 4 Co's and no more than 8 Elders at a time in a clan, but I and many others won't even join a clan if we can't be promoted. We need more room for advancement beyond the blank and frankly offensive base of "member" for all eternity.

It would be simple, and something SC should definitely add in the future. Not to mention something hundreds of thousands of people are pulling for. It would go a long way to solving SC's customer relations issues.

Lol well firstly there is nothing offensive about being member and no, we don't need a custom system. It's your own choice to restrict the number of co and elders in your clan. If you feel evyone should 'advance' as you call it, then promote them. There is nothing wrong with having a clan full of elders or co's.

Functionwise the two are separated sensibly so you do have a choice. Just make use of what's available proverly.

Well, my issue is that we need more room for advancement period.

Most leaders don't want to go overboard with the amount of Elder's and Co's in their clans for both the sake of security of the overall clan, various trust issues, and even for something as simple as for the sake of simplicity.

Even if they are simply glorified positions that hold no real power, allowing us to designate and name ranks should be a pretty simple thing to do, and moreover, allow room for clan advancement for those who would otherwise be eternally "member" forever.

And frankly, I won't ever join a clan unless there's room for advancement. I refuse to eternally be basic in rank. Promotions, even those without real power, still make one feel good.

It would be a simple update that would go a long, long way to solving SC's community relations issues, something that would be loved by the hundreds of thousands of people pulling for it, and something that would in no way negatively affect the game.

We need room for advancement.

*EDIT* : It's not my choice. Many leaders will automatically restrict the number of Co's and Elder's they are willing to make to an arbitrary number. And while this would hold true no matter how many ranks we had, it would still open the door for others to get promotion and rank beyond that of a basic member, instead of being forced to be a member for all eternity if they want to stay in said clan for either personal or impersonal reasons.

*EDIT 2* And frankly, I'm offended by being a member for longer than needed to attain the needed requirements for advancement. Eternally being the laughing stock of your clan and at the complete mercy of those above you isn't something you should always have to deal with. It's why I strive to rank to Co as soon as possible. Hitting every requirement as quickly as I can. Being forever unable to rank upwards isn't something I or many others would tolerate. There's a huge difference between short term and long term.

And again, this solution solves this issue the best.
