Hi and welcome to the Captain Achievement help thread.

Introduction:
If you need help with your Captain achievement you have come to the right place. We are about having fun and helping people get their Captain III achievement. Don't worry if you are still on Captain I or II or had to start over. We will be happy to jump on board with you all the way to Captain III even if you are just starting on boat 1 or 2. The Captain achievement does not reset itself after achieving Captain I or II it will just continue so our goal is all the way to Captain III. However if you are starting on boat 1 and it is a difficult one we might ask you to let it go and start with an easier one if we have some shortages.

As we have gained a lot of experience in this we have discovered that a few guidelines do make it easier to help a lot of candidates at the same time.

Guidelines:

Post your GC ID and Hay Day level in every post on boat information and accept friend requests. You can add this in your signature. This will help us find you more easily as we all have many friends and it is almost impossible to find a neighbour if you don't know where to look.
After your boat has been filled please ask for the green light from one of our Main Captains* if it is okay to send it away. Sometimes we have a lot of candidates and a lot of boats coming in wanting the same items or items from the same machine or just after an update which provided new stuff to make. Therefore we sometimes need the extra time a boat is on the dock to work on our stock levels and replenish our stock. Most of the time it will be okay to send it but please ask us. Of course we will fit this in with your schedule.
After you have sent the boat kindly give us an update on the next boat orders, boat number and the quantities you have. Tap on the empty dock to see a list of the next set of orders and give us an estimate on when the boat will arrive. This will help us prepare for your next boat. Not to worry that you don't know the quantities yet as we have the experience to make a good educated guess.
Post again when the boat is in.
If you are thinking about bringing in a boat early please ask the team of Main Captains* first. Sometimes we might ask you to bring in your boat early. In that case remember that this is totally up to you if you want to spend a diamond (no hard feelings if you don't).
As long as you are still on your Captain III quest we kindly ask you not to help out other candidates boats or boats of those helping and let us worry about that. Please hold on to the stock you have as your next boat might want these same items. In the end this will help us all and it is not in the least bit selfish.

How to ?
Signature:
Go to the top of the page and tap settings. On the left hand side you will find "edit signature" under my settings. Add your info and tap "save signature".

Completely close Hay Day:
Close Hay Day. Double tap home button and a bar should appear with the apps running in the backgroud. Press and hold one of them until they start to wiggle and a red circle with a minus appears in the top corner of the apps.

Last but not least:
Should you have any questions please just ask in the thread because someone is usually here monitoring. This thread can move very fast at times so please stick around for a bit after posting or check back after posting because we might have questions and we will get back to you with a reply.

People from all over the world are involved in this thread so there are people in all timezones available. This also means that not all people involved have English as a native language so keep in mind there might be some differences in communication.

A quick summary:
Communication is key in this thread and we do like to help as many people as we possibly can get their Captain's hat. We can do a lot here but even our resources are limited so please meet us halfway and give the courtesy of communicating. We do not want to miss any boat but if we ever do have to prioritize we have to choose candidates who do communicate and even new requests first.

Turbo Trucker runs
In our spare time we like to help out on TT II and III runs. So if you want some help standing by on your TT run you can find it here. Since the main priority in this thread is to help people get their Captain III achievement we need to choose a time when we don’t have boats at the dock or boats coming in soon as it can be very hectic. We can only do 1 TT run at a time.

Be sure to inform us which TT you are trying to get. Unlike Captain III the TT achievement will reset at 0 after completing TT I or II.

Preparation:
Preparation is key for any successful TT run so here is some things you can do to prepare.
1. Choose 8 or 9 (depending on your level) easy truck orders to start with. Trash the difficult ones and start with easy ones. Save the difficult ones for the second or third wave.
2. Make sure all orders have a green tick and you can send them all. For example if you have an order for 1 white sugar and a 2^nd for 3 and a 3^rd for 4 you will need 8 white sugar just to truck those.
3. Besides those 8 or 9 orders stock up at least 5 of everything you can produce of have at your level. More for bread and regular popcorn. Example if your 8 / 9 orders on the board need 3 cheese you would need to stock 8 cheese.
4. Have an almost full silo with everything you can plant on the crop fields. Wheat and corn can be easily grown in the middle of a TT run.
5. Have your animals ready to collect the animal products.
6. Have some fruit trees and bushes of each kind you can have ready to collect the fruit.
7. Try not to start a TT run right before you are about to level because of the new items you could unlock. Leveling during a TT isn’t that big of a problem but it might be when you are just on your 2^nd or 3^rd truck order.
The better the preparation the less stressful it will be for you and your main helper.

Main helper.
When you have done these preparations then just post in the thread to find out if it is possible to do a TT run. A heads up when you are still preparing would be very nice.
If we can do a TT run we will set you up with a main helper. During your TT run you post on the forum which items you need and you only buy from the main helper. This way you don’t have to run back and forth between many different friends at different levels because the friends bar will stay at that location. After posting what you need go to the main helper’s shop and buy the stuff (no wheat).

The main helpers will also ask for some backups to buy items from. If the main doesn’t have an item he or she will buy it from the backups and you in turn buy from the main. You only pay attention to forum posts written by your main and remember to keep refreshing the page.
After you have posted which items you need don’t wait too long to go to your main helper’s shop (go to your main's shop quick) as we all have many friends and the items could be grabbed by someone else. Make a list of several items you need and make a new posts every times you need new items instead and don't edit the previous all the time. Because the 1st one will surely drop of the 1st page.
If you can use two devices. 1 for the forum and 1 for Hay Day.

Go signal
The main helper will give you the go-signal to send off the 1^st truck and he or she will be standing by and watching out for your posts.

Tips for main helper:
Thought I would also write some tips for the main helper:
1. It is a little easier if the main helper is at least at the same level or higher as the candidate because of the level restrictions the main helper could experience. It is possible the main can't have or produce certain items yet which means they can't buy it from a backup.
2. You could consider to change your farm sign to say something like shop closed helping a TT III. Other neighbours playing on an iPad might see it and hopefully don't touch the goods. If you do remember to change it back after you are done.
3. Try to have an empty shop.

Sometimes you get 9 crates, other times you get 12 crates. When you get 12 crates you need less amounts to fill in every crate, than you will need with 9 crates. I'm sure you have noticed.
