Sounds to me like you're making great progress, especially in light of the set backs. :) We need a cheerleader emoticon.

while I am not going to participate in this challenge at this time, I have already done this before when I quit the game and gave everything away for 1coin. It took me over a week to give everything away then using all the money I had made...and diamonds I had collected (but not bought) I spent the remainder of the coins buying up other people's high-demand items and selling those for 1coin. Overall it took me 2.5 weeks to get down to "scorched Earth." After quitting HD for a couple of months I picked it up again. It took me a month to build it back up to its current status. Hope you guys have fun playing the challenge! PM me if you have any bolts you want to sell.

I've been away from the forums for a few days, but I did see that all your machines were up and running in the farm so I guessed you started the challenge. :) Looks like it's going well, good job! Are you still doing any boats/truck orders while you wait for those slow food items? I'm assuming you will be able to re-make the fast ones while those jewelery and jams take their time.
I've done a few crates of crops, but not much. I'm mostly ignoring the board because I'm afraid I will accidentally ship off 8 popsicles or something!

I am currently about 136 hours in I think?
I have a lot of cakes left to do! I don't think I did a good job managing that machine this time around... That and the pie oven both have so many items to make and require lots of other pre-made items like dairy and sugar, so it was hard to get the balance just right.
At this point it will be easier to just tell you what is NOT done!
UPDATE as of 6 days in:
I'm currently short:
3 spicy pizza,
4 carrot cakes,
4 necklaces,
5 blackberry jams,
6 rings,
7 platinum bars,
7 apple jams,
7 cherry jams,
10 gold ore,
10 silver ore,
10 gold bars,
10 platinum ore,
9 diamond rings
All that's left:
1 necklace,
1 bracelet
9 rings
3 cherry jam
5 blackberry jam
7 apple jam
10 silver ore
10 silver bars
10 gold ore
10 gold bars
10 platinum ore
10 platinum bars
I got to the point where it was just jam and jewelry early this morning, less than a week after I started. I don't think I could have optimized the jam any faster than I did, so the last jam will signal my final completion time.
I think the challenge is seriously hardcore, and am very impressed. I recently had to replace my ipad and hadn't joined GC so would have had to start back at level 1 having achieved level 56. Had tears in my eyes until I realised how to solve it, and you've CHOSEN to do this.......Respect!:)
