I started to play this game because a couple of friends of mine at college wanted me to play and join their clan. Have stuck around because I have met great people from all over. This gaming community is a lot like the madden community where everybody helps each other out and tries to make one another better. Its fun to be apart of something where everyone helps each other grow instead of trying to keep one another down.
I like the challenge when we don't buy gems...
I play Clash of Clans because I have always found interest in things like battles and barbarians, n stuff like that. I also think that CoC has been really well thought out by SuperCell. When the game first came out I immediately got it. I knew this game was going to great because its first version was better than most games similar to it. And obviously you can see how far it's come. With all these amazing updates SuperCell has kept releasing it keep boosting my interest. And honestly I think the game is overall great even without the sweet updates. I will play it as long as a have an iOS device.
My motivations is carved by seeing legends of Coc :) it propels me forwards.
Well I would have to say I play because it breaks up the monotony of this deployment I am currently on. Plus we made a Clan and over half of the company is playing it. It gives the sense of Commeratery. Plus bragging rights. It is also fun and the best game of its kind I have ever played. I would have to say at this point I have learned alot and taught a little and that makes for great fun.
I play Clash of Clans because it is an Ego and Status booster game. It is so Prestigious to be a part of it. Heh.
Probably different from most but ...
I'm incredibly competitive and get very analytical about games. My fiance and I both love games but early on in our relationship he discovered it pretty much sucks to play with me. When we were playing backgammon and he made a weird opening move I "kindly" suggested it might not be the best ...and in the conversation let slip that I had memorized all of the opening moves and key strategies of running and blocking and at that point he decided to never play with me again. That would happen with like ... every game.
Fast forward to finding games that we could play together, cooperatively rather than head to head. I downloaded Hay Day and to join in so dd he. Then he discovered CoC and later I downloaded to play with him (thinking I could attack him most likely). And then the strategic/analytical/competitive part of my brain kicked in and it was all downhill from there ;);)
So a big part of the game for me (like Daddy playing with his kids) is playing with my family! Even if I can't raid his base and steal his stuff. :p
Quite a variety on driving forces so far. Course I wasn't expecting to have a common nominator  keep em coming.
