Forum Cup - Friendly War Edition - Congrats Hellas!
Introduction
The time has finally come! With the Friendly war feature that is available now, we are organizing the second Forum Friendly Clan War Tournament. If you like clan wars, then this tournament certainly is something for you! It gives you the opportunity to fight against other clans in an elimination style tournament. The second tournament will be for Townhall 11’s. The first tournament in this style was for TH10's and was a great success for the 60 participants. This tournament we can host 16 clans with 5 members each. Please note that all participants need to have active forum accounts. This is a forum cup after all.:)
Details
The event will take place starting on Friday, December 16th and conclude on Sunday, December 18th. We have chosen to have rounds of 2 hour preparation and 8 hours of war. This will hopefully allow people from several time zones to participate. There will be 4 rounds in the tournament and the exact dates and times can be seen below.
It is an elimination style tournament; each round every remaining clan will be matched with another; each clan will then play a friendly war against an opponent clan. The clan that produces a higher score (stars > percentage total destruction > average attack duration) progresses to the following round, whilst the clan that achieves a lower score is eliminated from the tournament. The clan that remains unbeaten throughout the tournament and is the sole surviving clan following the conclusion of the final round is declared victor. The champion clan is awarded 5,000 gems, equally spread across the participants in that clan.

Rules
- All participants must have forum accounts.
- For this tournament, only Townhall 11 players can take part. It is only allowed to sign up as a team of 6 members (5 players, and 1 additional member that you can use if one of the 5 suddenly cannot participate).
- Each round the participating clans will fight in a 5-5 friendly war against another participating clan. Preparation time will be set to 2 hour and War time will be 8 hours. This means the rounds are 10 hours long. We decided to do this in order to appeal to as many time zones as possible. It is not necessary for you to be online or awake during the entire round. It's just a better window for each member to complete their two attacks. There will also be a 2 hour break between rounds.
- The rounds are started at predefined times as specified above. If you receive a request not meeting these conditions, don't accept it, or both teams will be disqualified. If the sending clan doesn't fix the request within 5 minutes, the clan that sent the request is disqualified. Please, take screenshots as proof.
- The winner of the friendly war progresses to the next round and the clan that loses is eliminated from the tournament. In case of a draw (stars and percentage equal), the clan with the lowest average attack duration wins. In case these durations are equal as well, the clan with the most stars on number 1 wins, or in case both clans have an equal number of stars on number 1, the clan with the fastest attack on number 1 wins. If there is still a tie, the judges will decide which clan proceeds to the next round.
- The clan that has the lower number in each bracket starts the friendly clan war within 10 minutes before or after the start of each round. If the war is not started within 10 minutes, the clan with the higher number automatically wins. If the war is not accepted within 5 minutes by the clan with the higher number in brackets, the clan with the lower number automatically wins.
- Every clan that participates is obliged to accept judges to join their clan. A list of judges will be published in this thread before the start of each round.
- Every clan that participates has to post a screenshot of the result of the clan war in this thread, so the judges know who won.
- If you need a judge, you can put a request in this post. A judge will then visit your clan at the earliest opportunity, stating its forum name. Please check the list of judges before you accept, to be sure you accept a judge rather than someone spying :-)
- In each round, 5 players out of the 6 you specified participate. It is not allowed to use other players than the 6 specified when you signed up. Changing players may result in disqualification.
- The participating members need to be in the clan before the start times indicated above.
- You can create a specific clan for this Friendly War Tournament, but are also allowed to stay in your own clan.
- It is not allowed for 1 player to participate with multiple accounts.
- And last but not least: Please remember not to edit your war base less than 24 hours before the start of this tournament. Otherwise, you will be unable to use that base in the Friendly War Tournament.
