New TH10 DE Priority

Hey all, I'm a maxed TH9 (minus about 50 walls) upgrading to TH10 in two days. I just got the black Friday pack and am thinking through how to prioritize my spending when the upgrade is complete. I have 5 days left on a shield and max collectors/storages/treasury. Currently in C2 league. I'm about 50/50 split between caring about farming vs war and am generally planning on taking the 0.5 route.

I was thinking to upgrade dark barracks and lab first, followed by bowler upgrade, then freeze spell upgrade (when I've practiced attacking TH10's that seems like it would be most helpful in both war and farming). Then regular barracks and camp upgrades. Based on your experience right now, what do you think of this approach? Am I onto something or way off base?

One last question to pile on for you... No inferno tower vs single inferno tower to start? Don't want to make war too hard, but don't want to get destroyed in farming either.

There are many paths you can take... this is just one...

If you are war orientated, build new point defences and then max all point defences to TH10 lvl.
Max ad's and all traps at the same time.
Then build new splash damage and max those.
Then 3rd xbow - max it and max the other two.
Lastly drop infernos.

While the above is going on, upgrade camps, sf's, troops and keep plugging away at heroes in betweeen wars.

If farming orientated, do the exact opposite... infernos, then x bows, then splash then point defences.
Upgrade farm troops first like giants, barch, gobs, etc.

Your strategy could work. I actually upgraded valks first in the lab and focused on camps after spell factory and lab. I can 3 star any th9 now with max valks and 240 camp space plus max cc and extra spell. I stay in crystal and rarely get attacked as I was a fully maxed th9. I wouldn't build any infernos if I was you. I'm focusing on barch and baby drag in lab now but bowlers and freeze are next. Remember those barch troops are helpful even in war when heroes use ability. Traps are almost all max and working on teslas, air def, sweepers now. All elixir going to walls.

Don't do .5 if you upgrade your townhall you are taking on the new challenges of that new townhall if you aren't ready to take on those challenges cancel the upgrade

Don't listen to this scrub, please.

I would drop the infernoes as soon as possible and max them. Seeing as you're a maxed th9, the odds of drawing th10s with infernoes is very high. My priorities as a th10 regardless of war/farming orientation would be Lab, Spell Factory, CC, infernoes, all army camps and DE drill to max. If you come with max storages and treasury and buy the th10 pack, you can do the last inferno, CC and start new inferno to level 2. This will prevent you from being farmed and will defend in war.

For troops, it depends if you war on air or ground.

This is also a fair point but if you are getting TH10's with infernos as your mirror, it doesn't mean anything other than that is how the MMA is stacking the enemy clan. (If you are number 1 on the roster every war, this would be a fair consideration because it would be highly likely you mirror a full 10).

So the above, I guess, is another way of upgrading at TH10.

Whatever you choose to do, adding infernos straight away will hurt your overall clan weight in wars and bring in stronger opponents, overall.

My strategy is to drop both infernos immediately. Hit the lab and sf. Then camps, then dark barracks.

Once the lab is ready, gols first, then valks, bowlers, wiz, freeze. But i plan on warring asap, so farmers might take a different troop upgrade route.

Anyone who upgrades this way wouldn't be accepted in our clan. Before 9.5 became viable, no th10 could war with 220 camps. They had to sit out until 240 & lab upgrades. If you are going to draw infernos, you need to be able to 2 star them. that means freeze at at least 3, 240 camps and a viable attack upgraded.

OP, as soon as lab is finished, upgrade valks. Dark barrack takes 12 or 14 days. When valks are done you should be able to do bowlers.

Thanks for this! I was on the fence about valks (vs bowlers) anyways, I'll swap my plan out to do the ladies first! It sounds like it's going to be a tightrope walk on inferno towers/freeze spell level. Some TH10's I can 2 star now, but only some, so I think I'll try waiting on infernos to start... See how farming goes, drop one if I get in trouble.

Don't think I want to be maxed if I upgrade my townhall it's because I and progressing to increase the challenge in my gameplay hence building inferno towers. I enjoy how I play and that's all that matters you build your base how you want and I'll build mine how I like just wanted to help him out :)
