New TH10. Getting slaughtered

I'm a week old TH10 currently at Crystal II. I'm having a really hard time collecting enough elixir to upgrade my camps.
Aside from the fact that I'm getting wrecked at defence and hence losing elixir like crazy, I'm not even finding enough loot right now. I don't really care about Gold or DE at the moment.
I went down to Gold III but loot there was horrible as well so I spoke with a couple of my TH10 clan mates and they suggested me to push to Crystal but now that I'm here, I still am not getting much loot.
So I'd take appreciate any suggestions on what army should I use and what league I should farm in (As I said earlier, I don't care about Gold or DE, so feel free to suggest moderately DE heavy armies though not crazy costly armies please).

im using lv7gi/ lv7wi/qw for farming.

league span is crystal 1 - masters 3. currently sitting on 7+mil elix i have no use for...probably when builder is available again ill buy 2 more lv10 wall pieces.

Check out crystal 1 or masters 3. Amazin loot with lots of dead bases up here. The first 2 weeks of being a new Th10 is always tough elixir wise, but it'll pass. Hang in there chief!

Same here, i am also fresh th10, its been almost 4 days here. It is true that the loot "was" horrible the last few days but today, it has been decent.
im currently in G3 barching with heroes and getting avg. around 250k to 300k. im prioritizing the loot gained per troop expended than the sum total loot from a raid(also not careing for trophies)
my de store is filling up like crazy, im not even trying to get de but it fills up passively(maybe one of the perk for being a th10+)
Currently im trying to get all the new stuffs for th10 and get myself a th10 base.

I am currently using a QW + GiBarch composition.

I remember your pain laneofmagic, being a new th10 is brutal!
I started playing in oct 2013 and was completly addicted within a few weeks. The one and only time that Ive ever thought about quitting this stupid horrible/amazingly awesome game was when I upgraded to th10. Stick with it bud..grind it out. Trust me, it only gets better����

but try goblin knife for a bit see if that helps, or mass goblins and drop a ton of trophies, just milk if you have the time

I just slaughtered a new th11. He was a maxed th10, even walls and heroes. You will always get slaughtered as a new anything

Maxing TH9 or not has no impact on how well you do as a new TH10. The first thing to remember and adhere, is to hit a wall until you completely forgotten storage raiding. Now, the only skill you have left is collector farming. Barch, barch all you can as a new TH10 until you're maxed TH11. That one single comp will be sufficient to finish everything you need.

My current new TH10 has TH5/6 defenses and 20/0 royals (upgrading AQ) so I require both huge amounts of elixir and good amounts of DE. Yet, I can still progress and not getting slaughtered.

30/30 royals, maxed TH9 defenses and maxed walls do not help in TH10. The only thing you'll ever need is lvl6 barch and eventually lvl7 barch.

I'm a proponent of barch myself, barch barch barch that's all I did for years. Arguably the single most efficient method for looting bar non. Problem with it is it turns your brain to mush lol every time I had a window of opportunity to do a war while heroes wernt upgrading.. once in a blue moon. I ♥♥♥♥ed my pants come war day lol if all you ever ever do is mindless barching it turns you into a mindless zombie lol. If I was to advise some one these days id say sure barch to start off when your a newly upgraded town hall, get the heavy work outta the way but after a while move up to a higher league and use a serious war like combo... May not be as efficient (not far off though if you hit bases with good loot) but you'll not become a mindless zombie and actually learn the intricacies of the town hall level your at rather than being a max town hall ten, starting to upgrade to town hall 11 and then realising you neglected learning how to actually execute out a proper blinking attack haha

I raided like a ♥♥♥♥ as a new th10 and started all 4 camps and lab (around 30 million elixir total) in 5 days. I used 16 giants 8 wiz 8 wall breakers 28 goblins 44 archers 2 heal 2 jump 2 poison. I still use that army now, but with 4 more giants. The leagues with good loot are always shifting, but I generally farm between gold 2 and masters 3. Click next 100 times if you have to, never hit a base if you're not confident you can get all the goo.

if you are a rusher, new transitiom to a new th is always twice as bad because the previous th level will raid your loots...

the way our pro rusher recommend doesnt work for everyone because of the time you need to put in coc everyday

i frequently do rusher hunting with the goblin knife with jump heal rage. after i get what i wanted i draw out to reduce the chance of giving a shield

Keep barching or Gibarch, Use your spells if needed and since you prefer elixir more than d.e add some valks into your army comp.

And instead of a jump spell use earthquake.

im a week old th10 aswell. i am barching about 300k elix per attack in crystal. the Next button is your friend.

Th10 growing pains... take 2 aspirin and barch or gob your way to gold league. About the only way you are going to come out with enough elixer to start camps/lab/spells.

I'll echo the same as others here - new TH blues and upper Crystal is where you want to be. Likewise, with this being a holiday week for many and the BF special, lots of folks have been using up their resources for upgrades. Hit it again mid-week, skip Saturday, then go again Sunday. You likely need to be willing to hit next a little more too, or go out with a stronger army comp.

(PS: Ignore the anti-rush brigade; it isn't relevant and they usually just have an axe to grind. Rushed or maxed, as a new TH at any level, you need to focus on burning whatever resuorces you get or you'll be "slaughtered". That will ease up about half way into your defensive dev, especially if you're not too heavily rushedor maxed/near-maxed TH9 defenses.)

Modify this base to protect your pink, take out the de drills and replace with elixir storage then make sure your other 2 elixir stores are opposite each other. You will not lose much as th9's will think it is easy to raid and will fail often. When you get full stores then you will be hit hard by th10 and 11.

Good loot is just around the corner, I don't like barch (it bores me and sucks the fun out of attacking) so use I other troops but the key is attacking without elixir spells, crack that and you will get a camp down every 2-3 days

You should easily be able to make back any losses quickly and should find a decent base within 50 next at the moment. Aim for 300+ pink.

The high loot isn't as abundant as it was a couple of weeks ago so I think juicy bases will start again real soon.

New th10 3 days ago. I am dropping from m1 and i will stop in any place around c2, currently @m3 gobarching.

Without lix spells. Do not care about trophies too much, but try to get easy th's gor dont fall fast.
Wtm 6 mio gold / 8 mio lix / 82 mil de with all builders busy.

i assuming u hv lvl 6 goblin with lvl AQ (a bit lower are considerable) as u said u are max 9 b4 hitting th10.. i suggesting QW gob knife for u.. cheap army (save ur elix, spell doesn't really nescessary tho i suggest u bring a couple rage for ur QW), faster farm (most of the time u dont hv to deploy full army..not to mention current training system really really suits these farming troop comp) i've been doing this since day one as th10.. now mid 10 and still using the same troop.. one word ''Efficient" [edited]

I use a giant heavy army for farming. Most troops and spells are max or one below max, for th10.
24 giants
12 wizzs
30 barbs
10 archers
8 wbs
2 valks.
Spells:
2 freeze
1 jump, heal and rage and poison.

I have found crystal lll to be the best farming spot for that army. It allows me 2 star most well developed th10s but is also pretty cheap.
