I'm a town hall 8 with nothing to do with my elixer. My defenses are maxed out and I have all level 7 walls. I also have a to upgrade hogs , Valks and minions and have a level 5 king. Do I finish all my DE work and walls or just go to town hall 9.

Go to th9 or wait till you get level 10 king then head straight there
I maxed my th8 then went to 9
You shoulda maxed hogz first at th8 best atk in my opinion but burn off all tht extra elixer on peeka raids getting gold for walls and de for king to 10 and troop upgrades I recently upgraded to th9 and am sooo glad I maxed everything b4 I didQuote:

really depends on what you what, I would advise max BK before th9, but apon reaching th9 just note that your most prob gonna want to upgrade ad tesla first and there is long upgrade time doing this so there is plenty time to upgrade rest of walls to skulls while your waiting, views will differ but nothing really changes at th9 just more of the same, so really my advice is to get both heroes to L15 asap, who cares if your def is bit low or you have purple walls
I would definitely max out all my dark elixir stuff. Minions aren't that much of a priority though. Get your barbarian king to level 10, that will save you something to worry about when you actually have to upgrade your heroes at TH9. Walls are optional, but they help out in the long run. They're also darn scary :)
Problem is that you need lot of DE for your troops and BK so i would suggest getting them upgraded with Heavy eli troops like dragons or pekka. Dump all gold to walls while you farm for DE. AQ is a game changer i would have suggested to go TH9 But then whatever DE you get you would want to use on AQ and not on the troops so its better maxing DE as much as you can before moving up. Dont bother too much about walls as they can be upgraded much faster than you think. Just keep dumping all excess gold in walls.
