How to get Barbarian King

Hey there. Recently, I upgraded to TH7, and I've been having a lot of fun. I have dragons which are upgrading to level 2 already, my 2 new cannons are up to date with the others, and I have every building...
Except the Barbarian King. I only have 200 Dark Elixir and it seems impossible to get anything above 50 in raids. I sit at about 1200 trophies because I do not get hurt there very much and raids are easy. I know I should raise my trophies, but how high? And how much Dark Elixir can I get, on average, at that trophy level? Thanks.

Hmm go to 1400 or so to get about 500 per raid or if you're really brave and have the time push to 1700 and use a all drag army for 1000-2000 per raid

Go up to 1600+, easy to pick off DE pumps and lightning the DE storages. I was getting 200-400 average per raid, some raids I got 1000+! Its up there just gotta grind to get it.

Im at 1850 with th9 (i lose loot) and i find 1k-4k de every 5 times i click next so u should be getting like 2k - 5k de

If ur not afraid of being called a de zapper then zap it on a guy with loads. Push fr trophies as hard as u can. Also use flying troops and giants. Giants take out air defences and air troops bypass all walls and take de. Drags r very helpful.

Go to 1600+ and the DE will be great. If you don't mind DE zapping, then you can find amazing DE, sometimes even over 1k. But even if you don't use Lightning Spells on DE, then you can still attack their drills for a decent amount.

If you are willing to patient and trade gold for DE, you can do it without even changing your trophy level.

Just train all lightning in your spell factory and whenever one is available scroll through your revenge list looking for a good target to hit. You can lightning them and they cannot retaliate.

It's kind of a cheap trick and I only did it a few times to put me over the top to get my king, but it does work.

What armies are good for trophy pushes, and what about armies for getting the DE?

IMO that method won't work well at th7.

I've been using dragons to upgrade mine and start minions research. 1400 range with frequent 1000+ per raid, but it was tough searching today. Still managed to start minions anyway. 6000 yesterday, and the other 4000 this morning.

I pushed to 1300-1400 and between my usual army (healer/giant then arch barb gobs) and the occasional lightning zap I got my last 7500 DE in 2 days without trying too hard (played for about 6/7 hours total?) as a TH7, then I dropped back down to my current level where the gold and elixir is bountiful to finish my walls (where I am now). I'm happy I didn't gem the King and now I've got him to use when I need for raids, all in all I was very pleased with the results.

Just use barb arch it works like a charm

I'm TH7, trophies always about 1100-1200, and I got the BK by being uncompromising in my search for appropriate villages. I remember skipping easy targets with 300k+ gold just because they didn't have the black stuff. I got to 10k DE in 2 days. Granted, I was playing almost non-stop during that time, working when the army was building, attacking when it was done.

Best is to take it slowly and don't rush. Use troops that you are good with and target base that has nice amount of DE.

My way is to drop sub 200 and revenge those people who bring my trophies up.....:rolleyes:PAYBACK!
Remember only go to sub 200 for that and unbbreakable the loot sucks...
Well actually loot is okay but it gets worse if i start advertising it....w

You might want to be at the 1400-1500 cup range. What I did was centralized my DE storage. At this trophy range, sometimes it's hard to loot their storages. It's easiest to just use lightning on bases with 1k+ DE available

I always used lightning spells on the storages. Also in the drill there is a lot in there because it fills ip quickly. Go to a trophy range of 1400 to 1700.

Everything can be done with lightning spell. So dont worry just go higher at 2000 trophies. If ur lucky u can find someone with 2000-3000 dark elixir. In that way u can have like 1000+ drk elixir in one raid just using dark elixir

Just try going higher. Believe it or not sub 200 is also really good.

i heard 1600+ is a good range. i'm maxed on elixir, and i just have decorations left for gold, then i'm maxed on gold. then i will be going up there for DE and doing all-out dragon raids with 3 lightning. (maybe a rage also occasionally). however, as we are only TH7, it will be hard to get the DE as it's well centered most of the time (i was only in the trophy range for 1 battle, lol), so you might want to go for DE drills on the outside, and you might have to lightning the storage. That's how I got my barb king :p. but yeah, i really suggest only going up there once ur maxed out gold and elixir, or close to maxing out, cuz u will be a big target i'm sure, as you are only a TH7 and the people there are like TH8 and TH9. So storing DE will be hard, but no one will raid you only because of your DE, becuase of loot penalty, unless the attacker IS a TH7 (like me)

I hover above 1450

sometimes u will see 2-3k dark elixir, lightning that much and u can get as much as 12-1400 d.e. with having max lightning spells. Trick is u gotta know what lvl is the storage. Lower lvl storage with a lot of d.e. u can yield that amount.

also. Look on top of the drill to see if its filled with d.e. or not. Sometimes u can raid high lvl drills, and there will be like 500 d.e. in 1 drill

Go above 1700 trophies and you'll easily find lots of DE.

I'm a TH7 and will be TH8 in 5 days. I will be upgrading my BK to lv4 later today. I might be thinking of maxing the BK since I still have 5 days to my TH8 but I might be overseas during the weekend leaving me with no time to raid for DE. Anyway, sharing my DE raiding strategy here.

I am working so I can't raid as often. Maybe once every 1.5 or 2 hours so a dragon army will be good for me. My army is as below.

5 dragons
10 giants
5 wb
40 archers
Optional - BK or CC (drag, wiz will be nice but archers are ok as well)
Spells - 2 rage and 1 lightning
Trophy range - 1500 to 1800

First stock up on elixir... Those dragons are going to cost you but from time to time, you do get raids like 300-500k of gold and elixir so they will help to slow down the elixir depletion.

Base selection
1)Look for base with AD upgrading(No need to have all upgrading, just 1-2 will be great as that means less AD to tackle.
2)Look for base with AD on the first layer of defense
3)Avoid bases with X-bows pointing up or maxxed WT/AT(trust me, they kill lv2 dragons just as good)
4)Most importantly, the next button is your best friend


Raiding strategy
1)After you find your ideal base, check out the BK and CC. Send one archer to lure the CC if its possible. CC troops can spoil the raid. Lightning the CC troops. Same for BK. Lure the BK to the side where you are going to attack the AD.

2)Normally the base will have 1 AD at each side. 4 AD are common for TH9/10 as they are normally the ones with the most DE(the loot bonus favor us TH7). Thats why looking for bases with AD upgrading is good for us as that means less AD to tackle

3)Now most of the time, the DE storage is centralised. Let say you need to tackle DE from 3 sides. This is what I do. One AD will be taken care by giants/archer/wb. Second AD by BK and wb(clear the other stuff will some archers so BK will go for the AD). The third AD will be clear by dragon with rage(remember to clear the stuff on the side so dragons fly straight to the AD or at least that direction)

4)You might want to drop only 4 dragons so if the dragons did not fly the direction you wanted, you can drop the last as insurance. (Thats why you must be good at the troops pathing). If things do goes well, thats one dragon cheaper for the raid.

5)CC troops are insurance if one of the side that is taking the AD seems to be losing. Hopefully the CC troops will give the extra boost and clear the AD.

6)If luck is on your side and the DE is not centralised, start with the side that is closest and just clear the necessary AD. Save on the troops. The army is expensive and whatever saving will help you to prolong your DE expedition.

7)I can raid 6-8 times a day and I get around 8000-12,000 DE a day. Not as cost effective as others but at least it suit my style and I can raid with a 90% success rate
