Title says it all. I'm in the middle of upgrading my hogs, and I still have 8 days left. I also have 2 days left on my Aq before she's level 5. Farming has been a pain, but I really like War, I know the golem upgrade would really help me for going against other 8.5's and in dominating th8's. But lvl 6 giant (from what I heard) is a godsend for farming, something that has been hard since my start one week ago. Feel free to leave a comment and ask me questions.

I assume your CC is already upgraded? Since you're in the transition I'd strongly suggest unlocking the lavahounds and balloon to lvl 6 as a dump for your elixir. Your Dark should be used to upgrade your Queen to 10.
If the above is already covered then chose for Giants, as the lvl3 golum isn't that all game changing.

I think queen is dark priority early. Get the giants as they will really help farming to keep her upgrading. Other than hogs, I would not do any dark upgrades other than queen until she's level 15 as a th8.5.
You can have 30/30 heroes, but if you have, say, TH8 war troops, your likelihood of 3* a max defense TH9 borders near zero.Quote:

As a Queen Pop fan, I know it's strengths fairly well. I do not agree that a majority of players are going to AQ pop most their bases for 3*. Some bases are very bizarre and might do heavily cored ADs or some other combination that a different attack 3* at a far easier rate More often than not, you need to tailor your attack to a base.Quote:

Yes, please walk me through how that contributes to 3* attacks more than key DE war troops one can upgrade for the ~same DE.
Firing a lot of numbers don't always make it justifiable my friend. You can look at "bang for your buck" on a case by case basis, but overall you can have war troops at max with teeny heroes and still won't be able to pull off a three star on the high rollers. Only when heroes are high you have a fair chance to three star the well thought out anti three star bases. You'll simply won't make it with max troops and puny heroes.Quote:

But the chances are higher that he gets round up against the more casual clans and dito bases. From that perspective he's more rigid with LaLoon at ready and a high queen (in the making).
On top of that I still can't wrap my head around your statement of not prioritizing heroes in th9 when it takes a monstrous 30 levels for the queen and 20 for the king, consuming the majority of your time in th9 (if you max and focus on war). From a single step comparison, sure, but overall, no....
I'm with Lunatic on this one. I'm a decent farmer but there's no way the Queen is coming before my war troops. I'm going to go with Giants this time, but after that, it will be queen upgrades between my DE troop upgrades in the lab
