Level 8 Town Hall Rebalancing

Please consider balancing the gold:elixir ratio of buildings/researches for level 8 Town Hall.

Myself and many others have discussed this many times on global forum and it seems to be a universal problem.

After upgrading and researching everything that required elixir for a level 8 Town Hall, I discovered that I still had over 100,000,000 gold needed to finish upgrading the walls and other defensive buildings. I even emphasized upgrading gold requirement buildings and focused raids on gold rich targets but to no avail.
In the current situation, I am sitting on roughly 4,000,000 elixir daily with absolutely no way of using it. Thus making for a juicy target to raiders. This hinders the ability to save up large enough amounts of gold to upgrade the remaining defensive buildings; much less save up enough for the large gold investment required of a TH 9.

It gets worse, at this level many raiding targets are also in similar situations in which there is a large elixir stash but negligible gold.

I've tried hiding elixir by constantly training and donating dragons, but even then the elixir level hovers in the millions.

The most simple solution I can think of is to allow level 8 Town Halls to use elixir to upgrade the dark purple walls to the black skull walls that currently only allow upgrading with 500,000 gold a piece.
Otherwise, extra research, or other buildings using elixir for upgrading should be considered.

As I am looking to reach the highest degree of personal satisfaction when playing a rpg, it would be nice to have the ability to attain the goal of max upgrades per TH level before moving on to the next Town Hall. The game in its current form leaves that option unattainable, and demeans an otherwise excellent game.

Please consider and join me in this quest to help balance out the level 8 Town Hall imbalance.

I have been there before.. it doesn't last as long as you would think I maxed th8 in 10 months. Now that I think about it, that is a long time XD But th8 is very unbalanced, the easy solution is upgrading level 8 walls with elixir or gold.

The problem is you can't upgrade walls at Town Hall 8 with elixir. The only option is 500,000 gold. If it allowed me to upgrade with elixir there wouldn't be a problem :P

Solution....upgrade to th9

th8 is fine and you shouldn't complain about too much loot

To me it sounds like you rushed to town hall 8 and just now getting your walls going to the right level. Just keep plugging at them and try dropping trophy's to farm . Like everyone else.

Why would it sound like he rushed? The balancing of Elixir to Gold ratio is so uneven because you can only upgrade walls with gold.

Did he upgrade everything including collectors and all 6 barracks

This isn't going to happen because it will create an elixir drought. If everyone was upgrading their walls with elixir, then virtually no TH8 would have more than 500k elixir at any one time. That means people who recently upgraded to TH8 and need elixir to upgrade troops will have a very hard time finding any because the cost of the army will always be more elixir than the amount of elixir available in raids. This is why Supercell changed it and increased the wall level required to be able to upgrade with elixir.

Fully maxing TH8 is not unattainable, I have done it twice. The second time round I had walls finished before lab and defensive upgrades were completed as I left one builder free for walls from the beginning of TH8.

Were walls to be upgradeable with elixir it would crash the game's economy, as happened the last time this was tried.
