Alliance Wars

I think it would be interesting to see large scale wars.

First, form alliances with other clans, similar to how users can have friends in the social tab.

Second, offer your alliance clans to team up.

Third, choose your lineup. Wars are 100 v 100, or 200 v 200. There is an option you can select before sending out the challenge. The first option is NO TH11s. You can only select this only if your lineup also has no TH11s. The second option is NO TH10s. Same deal, you cannot have TH10s in your lineup. (If during battle day there is a townhall breaking lineup rule the base is automatically 3 starred for the enemy and that user loses their attack, or their attack is voided.)

Now search for war. CCs can only be filled by Leaders/Co-leaders and the troops are free.

On battle day everyone gets one attack only. Anyone not using their attack gets a 2 week ban from alliance wars.

Maybe this could be a special event available once a month so it doesn't completely replace war.

This quite an interesting concept. I actually like it. First thing I've seen on the forums recently that makes sense, lol. Let's see what other people think.

Perhaps, and maybe not. It would depend on how strict you think the matchmaking should be.

First solution. Make it a once a month event. Give clans one week at the end of the season to set up their lineups and search. This will flood the search pool making matchups easier to find.

(Alternative) Make the Alliance war an event available the last two days of each season. I find this a little too restrictive though, and it may leave some people out due to their schedules.

Second solution. Make this a survival of the fittest mode. Clans get a small amount of control to avoid mismatches by selecting No TH11s and No TH10s. But beyond that matchmaking should do its best based on the lineup of THs, and not war weight.

Third solution. This mode does not make you ineligible for regular war, so it really won't make a huge difference if matchmaking takes a day.

I just came up with the idea off the top of my head, just like these solutions. So yes there are most likely a lot of problems with the feature I haven't thought of. But problems can have solutions.

That part of solution 2 was already in the original post. It does not mean TH11s or TH10s cannot use the feature.

TH11s and TH10s can still participate in this type of event. Excluding those town halls is only an option for alliances that don't have any TH10 or 11s, and do not wish to face any to avoid huge mismatches. (An example is an alliance with all TH9s)

You could still have a 200 v 200 TH11 mass war.

I would really like the 3rd solution. When adding this potential update, super cell should also add clan alliances, so clans could form coalitions. There, the alliance wars could be implanted.

Sounds like a huge war.
Guess the prep day is goin to be a week and the battle day too.
Plus i think its going to take hours to get a match.
