AQ was 13 and started 14 right away. It was a hard decision where i was thinking of going for BK16 as i miss queen walk but then gave up and started AQ again.
Lava 2 will be done in 3 days and most likely will do rage 5 or healer. Heard rage 5 is massive game changer so might do that.
Started bomb tower 3.
All Eli buildings are done and quite happy that barracks are operating in normal speeds now.
I have slowly started upgrading the defense now since i cant be bothered about the war weight.
Have started the new Air sweeper lv 3. I will alternate between AS and AD and max them out.
Also will try to max out Cannons and AT and Xbows next.

On the trophies side, i have exactly opposite behaviour as you. While in Masters i would get attacked instantly the sheild was off regardless of the loot on offer. Now in Crystal 2-3 i dont get attack for hours and when i do get its still 1-2* and using Crows they hardly touch the DE. 4 max Teslas are killer. Max them asap if you can.

I am back to using ground troops after using laloonian in masters which was quite breeze even with lv1 lavas. All in all quite fun now TH9.

On war side my Golem is at 3 and i will try and squeeze that to 4 in between heroes upgrade. Can do 2* on consistent basis between top 5 in our 40x40 clan. Also our CO finally got bowlers unlocked so max bowlers are fun to use. Just had them for last war and still trying to learn them.

Valks at 3 are good but get them to 4 before Golem 4 i would say.

Wow!!! Sounds like a plan. I am yet to try Queen walk, but then my queen is just lvl 8. Maybe once I'd make it to 12+ will try that. Lava loons are awesome, am yet to open them, but will do. Rage 5 is seriously amazing. Can do a lot of damage.

Good luck for the defenses. I am still stuck with my walls turning to skulls, lol. Will take couple more weeks I guess. We won again and that helps a lot. Golems have been put to lvl 4 upgrade, 10 days to go.

We are still going 10x10, and are good that way. We barely have 19 people in clan, out of which 13 are inactive, lol. Think about it. Anyone who'd see we've won 8 in a row will think we are some hard core people, but in reality, we are not. We just strive to survive another day and war.

Bowlers are amazing!!!! Pair them with Rage and boom!!!! More than half the base is destroyed in instance. Of course, for that we need more bowlers, a pair of them in castle are not that effective, but are still dangerous.

Yeah, Valks 4 are amazing. Unfortunately, I just clicked the upgrade button 5 mins before being here, else would have gone for valks. :( Next time. :)

Most of my war troops are maxed now. Only others are left. barbs and archers and Wb's and healers and minions. Pekka too. But i think I am doing pretty well.

Finally got to TH9 last wednesday. Lab and Spell Factory finished last night, I started Jump to lvl 2. AQ currently going to lvl 5, will finish on thursday. One army camp will finish tomorrow, other one will finish in 4 days. CC finishes in a couple hours.
Walls are at:
37 purples (lvl7)
206 skulls (lvl8)
7 legos (lvl9)
Making pretty good progress. Not really sure what I want to focus on in lab next though. Should I go farming or war? For farming, I'd do barch/giants/wiz; for war I'd do loons/wiz/hogs/likely golem - I kinda want to focus DE on getting AQ to 10 for now though. I'll think about it I guess, I've still got 4 days on jump upgrade.

haha good going. I started my AQ with lv5. Obviously i know she wont last too long but its fun to use. Also my healers are still lv3 and not max. But AQ becomes stronger after 10 and then on it keeps lasting longer. Its really a fun to use and have kinda missed it now for 2 weeks straight on. Another 4 days to go.

My lab finishes with lava tomorrow and might have enough DE for BK16 but i will start golem 4 and just get finished with the war troops. After that rage and healer will be next and then will upgrade the farming troops such as barbs, arch, wiz and others. Still a long way to go.

Good work Gibson. Keep going. I have to admit TH9 is fun especially for farming and once decent troops then for wars too. But for war getting 3* is very difficult until late heroes or you are very low on war rooster. But having said that AQ is a game changer and once you start doing the queekwalk she is very good.

For lab i suggest you go for giants and get it out asap. I did mine only after some war troops were done. For war not sure what you army you use but would suggest you getting the golem to 3 and valks to 4. I did hogs first but tbh havent used them other than luring the enemy cc troops. I am not good at Govaho or goho. Kinda i like Govawi with valks spamming lol. Also get the loons up and then then unlock lava. Get the war troops out first then do the heroes or alternate between them. Lab times are so massive that you get enough time to plan.

As i did try and finish the eli upgrades fast and took me around 2 months to get all done. Dump all excess gold in walls till then and then slowly do the heroes.

Keep clashing.

During wars, being able to 3* TH8's for now will probably be ok as I'll be a low level TH9, so I'll be able to keep my GoHo ways. I'm planning on doing golem 3 at some point. Good going and plan. Get those teslas to 7. They are killer. I am using crows base and have my x-bows down too at lv2 now. Except laloon no ground troops are able to get my de storage. This was even way higher in Masters league too. 4 max tesla, 2 wt, 2 x-bows and you can imagine the mayhem it can cause. Pretty much first defense i have maxed at th9.

Great going man!!! In 2 days over a week, you've finished almost all of the important buildings. Amazing!!! For me the priority of upgrade was Hogs, Loons, Giants. Other stuff.

The reason is that I love hogs, and lvl 5 hogs are amazing. Since you're a GoHo person, I'd suggest take them to level 5 and marvel the damage they can cause. Loons, because I am more into Dragaloons, and lvl 6 loons are very dangerous compared to lvl 5 ones. Giants at lvl 6 have huge tanking and hence improve the raiding ability a lot. Of course, you can decide your own priorities, these are just my 2 cents.

AQ to Lvl 5 in such a less time!!! Man, makes me feel like a lazy guy :D. Keep going. She's amazing, and I love her, just like Nam3less does. Good luck.

Thanks! I'm probably gonna do lvl 6 giants in lab, and after that lvl 5 hogs. Probably loons at some point, but not until I unlock hounds so I can work with laloon. I'll do hogs and farming troops for now.

Honestly AQ wasn't that bad to get upgraded, just fairly constant barch while SF was down and half barch, half giant+wiz got me to lvl 5 and i'm now halfway to lvl 6. It's been going great. She's really fun to attack with also, especially with the ability.
I'm now finally getting a TH9 farming base lol. It was kinda hard to find one without xbows, since I won't be building those till I get other stuff upgraded, but I'll probably try out the crows base once I drop them. Hoping this base saves me as much DE as the megacube did at TH8 :p

Crows is the best base and it worked for me even in Masters 3. However having said that its vulnerable against air attacks especially laloonian but thats like 1 in every 12-15 attacks i face. I have dropped both x-bows and they help a lot too while defending. Without air they cant touch the DE storage and with 4 max teslas they pack a punch.

I really need to start learning how to do gohog. I started golem 4 so that would help but one time i tried i just sucked. Had a pretty bad couple of wars using laloonian but luckily we won the last one. Keeping AQ upgrading is really a pain. Have it down now for almost 12 days straight and might down again in 2 days time if i dont go for BK.

Agree completely. Especially when paired up with hounds(at any level) and hastes. Lavaloon is an ultimate wrecker at early TH9 warring and pushing. Have you tried it yet?

The level 6 giants pack a punch. Bulkier and stronger. Work well with gob knife. What do you guys use for farming?

As for my own progression, King woke up. At 18 rn. Wanna get him to 19 ASAP, but I've gotta complete the Forum War Heroes first. I'm at 100k DE, so I'm just gathering more. Keeping walls going as I farm dark. At 72 lavas now!:cool:

I'm excited to try out lavaloon, but I'm focusing on camps with elixir for now. I only have 1 more to upgrade, though, so maybe after that I can try it out.

I use a giant-wiz combo for DE farming and barch for gold/lix right now, but I'm probably gonna try out throwing in some valks into the giantwiz to make it more effective.

Nice progression. I'll get that far eventually (i hope lol).

Stoned HoBo sounds pretty fun, but the only problem is that we've only got 1 TH10 in my clan who has level 1 bowlers. He isn't available to donate a ton either. I'll definitely try it out though.

AQ woke for 14 and then put her to 15 after the war.
BK will be put to 16 later tonight. I never had so much de and it felt nice for once at 121k de with few k in clan castle. Funny thing is that i hardly get attacked in low crystal 2 even with 4m gold, 4m eli and 121k de.
Bomb Tower is maxed for th9 and i have started 1 of the x-bows to lv 3. Once thats done will get the other one to lv 3 too.
2nd AD is being upgraded to lv7 now and still 1 at lv6 and new one at lv5.
Doing 2nd cannon to max and will do either Cannon or AT.

Doing walls in between as we speak and lab is busy with golem 4 and would be done in 3-4 days time. Having hard time thinking what to do next but it would be either rage 5 or healer 4.

For war i tried quad laloon and get 2* in 1 war and just 1* 80% in next. Forgot to deploy cc hound lol. I am currently trying to learn all different war troops. havent 3* yet as i am generally ranked top 5 in our 30x30 or 40x40 war rooster.

Finally we have couple of guys with bowlers now and with lv10 clan we get max bowlers in cc. Trying to learn with them. Might try Stone goho or Govaho next.

For farming still use giant, wiz, healer combo and get good loot with that.

Pretty slow this week, but still going. :)

I've finally bought my first TH9 Defense - Air Defense -It's going for Lvl 3 now. Will be completed in 1d 22hrs.

Golems are still upgrading in lab and will be lvl 4 in 3 days time.

Queen is going lvl 9 - Will be done in 3d 23hrs.

Walls:
Lego - 3
Skulls - 229
Purple - 18

Soon I'd be able to finish my purples and move to all Skulls+. That is my plan. Once that is attained, I'd start refocusing on my defense, which is in shambles as of now.

Lab next could have been valks, but I've put in AQ, so valks will have to wait. I don't use them much, but want to, so let's see.

We went for a streak of 9 and then lost 1. Won 1 again. But it was a good streak, our biggest till date and helped me and my clan a lot. People are confident again and everyone has been able to upgrade their troops. :) We're ready to proceed.

My suggestion would be to go for Rage. Healer level 4 can wait. I don't use healer, so it's lowest on my priority. However, if you use it heavily, you might change the order.

Man you're sitting on so much of DE. Amazing!!!! I am taking it slow, one hero at a time. I try not to have both my heroes down at any point of time, the raids get harder without them, and the game gets slightly boring too. :) Good work with the AD's and Xbows. I am yet to install the first xbow, and might not do it unless I've finished maxing everything I've right now, including new troops I'd be opening.

Been 8.5 is helping me a lot. I usually get rushed th9s or maxed th8s, and getting 2 is way too easy. Sometimes I manage to get 3 as well. The clan is helping me now, which is good. it felt so silent few days back. We're quiet a team now. :)

Finally went ahead and upgraded BK to 16. First time ever i have put both heroes down at the same time. So a week off from them. I dont have much gems so cant buy time too.

I use healers all the time for my farming troops and always use with AQ when she is up. Havent used them much yet in wars but for farming use it. But anyway you are right will go for Rage first and then healer and then maybe wb to 5 and max it for th9. So thats almost 20 days gone lol. After that might do jump or haste then will start those gobs hehe.

On my mini TH8 which has no bomb tower and havent upgraded the wt or mortar and slowly doing cannons on it. I have finished all ad's and doing teslas too. Anyhoo i am generally 26-27 in 30x30 wars and it gets kinda boring that i can close my eyes 3 star mirror or +1 or -1 with all drag and my eyes closed. Drags are 3, light are maxed. So thats why i feel that going full blown TH9 it kinda helped me to learn the game a lot than if i had gone with 8.5 and would still be using th8 max troops for war. Just my opinion.

Well builders are busy and wont be free till 2 days. So grind for the DE. It was good have that much DE for once but now the grind starts again.

2nd lv3 X-bow started - 8 days to go
3rd ad 7 - 6 days to go
4 Cannon lv11 - 4 days to go
1 builder is free and 1 is working on lv5 WT. Will put both these on heroes.

Lab - most war de troops are done except now spells and minions (at 3) and witches. Doing WB5.

Very good last couple of wars with quad laloon and pentaloon having my 1st 3* on almost maxed th9 bases. Repeated with 6* in current war. Kinda happy :)

Sounds like something I'd try - Healers with Queen - Haven't done it yet. Did once when my Pekkas opened, 3 healers on a Pekka. Screwed a decent th7. Good old days. :) My healers are lvl 2, maybe time to move them to lvl 3.

Wow!!! Those stars sound great, especially with LavaLoons. It's a pretty powerful strategy if you can get a hang of it. However, well placed Air Sweepers can screw the attack massively, but definitely worth trying. It will be a while before I'd be ready for it, but that's ok. I Can wait. :)

Nice work with the defense, troops and heroes. I am way behind. :) Good luck, and keep grinding for the DE. :)

I don't have any color other than black in my walls. There are skulls and then there are lavas, no purple, no crystal, none other.

This has been a gold sink for months, and now I'd start working back on the defenses, which have been left in shambles since long.

Wall Stats:
Skull: 247
Lego: 3

BK is at 10, AQ is 9. Just upgraded my poison spell to lvl 2. Currently lab is working on WB5, and will be busy for another 4d 23h.

One builder is working on taking the DE drill to lvl 6, took a lot of elixir, but the way it oozes DE should be worth it. Not raiding a lot nowadays, and playing less too. Busy with some other stuff. Wish me luck, and I'd survive to live another day. :)

BK is at 10, AQ is 9. Just upgraded my poison spell to lvl 2. Currently lab is working on WB5, and will be busy for another 4d 23h.

One builder is working on taking the DE drill to lvl 6, took a lot of elixir, but the way it oozes DE should be worth it. Not raiding a lot nowadays, and playing less too. Busy with some other stuff. Wish me luck, and I'd survive to live another day. :)

On my side, I put down lots of major upgrades. Put down a bow to level 2, and I'll probably do another by tomorrow. BK going to 19 and witches in lab. Gonna be a great ride! :thumbsup:

I've been lazy and really haven't progressed much since last week lol. I've got all army camps upgraded now and defenses (besides xbows) built, but that's mostly it. AQ is at 6, but I really haven't done anything notable. Only other important achievement is that I started upgrading my first dark barracks to lvl 5, that'll be done in about 5 days.

I have started both AQ16 and BK17 last night and 6 days 20 hours to go. Have started getting used to now upgrading them simultaneously.
Finally wb is lv5 now. and will start rage 5 then healer 4.
other 3 builders waiting for canon, ad7 and xbow3. No builder free till 2 days now.

Finally all walls are now lv9. 250.

Another 6* with Quadlaloon as i had kept both royals available and upg right after that. We are going for our first 90* in 30x30 and still 5* more to go but most members want to go for loot and not clear lowest base. lol.

Kinda satisfied with the progress now as finally can farm at decent pace and more importantly getting 6* in wars. I want to still master other ground attacks like govaho, gowiwi, hghb etc etc.

Still long way for my lab to go, i feel if i can get enough de i might finish defense and royals before the lab is done at th9. I agree when many say TH9 is the best TH in Coc once you have decent troops and royals.

I farmed a lot with 2 lava, loons and minions and got the hang of getting the loons right. Laloon i feel is all about getting loons moving in the way you want. Obviously lavas are there for tanking and once you get the pathing right then its quite breeze. You are right though about the air sweeper so i try to generally come from behind where the AQ is. The faster you get your AQ killed the more chances you have for 3*. For that lava pups are very important.

Give it a try they are fun to use and very good rake up all 3 resources at a higher DE cost tho.

I am also taking a bit slow. Busy with stuff but will keep grinding. I am thinking of keeping 1 builder free for walls only now as this will prolong my time with builders to match with lab upgrades. Or i will just move to TH10 once royals are above 20 and labs is finished for most stuff i use. lets see.

That progress!!!! BK 19 is amazing. Mine is at meager lvl 10. But I'll get there ;). Good work with bows. I am yet to purchase my first one. Take a lot of patience to be a .5. Hopefully, I'd do fine. :)

Haha. Happens. At times we slow down, and then we raid a lot again. Happening with me as of now. Am slowing down on this game. But I am sure I'd bounce back up soon. :) AQ 6 is good. Mine is at 9. Yet to open any new troops. Takes a lot of Elixir. And most of mine is used for either walls or lab. Lets see when I'll open new items.

Agreed!!! Th 9 is one of the best Th's. There's so much to do. And lab is almost always busy. Great work with the War stars!!!! You're slowly and steadily mastering Quadloons. I hope I'd be able to do so too, soon. :) I tried GoVaHo today, and failed miserably. thanks to my heroes, I was able to get 1*, Lol. Other was Dragaloon as always and gave me perfect 3. Great work with the heroes!!!! Keep it up.

Builder 2 has just started on taking 4th AD to lvl 5, and will be busy for another 4d 22h.

Wall breakers have reached level 5, and now healer are on their way to level 3. With 3d 20 h remaining. I am expecting that I'll be able to get 70K DE, and move valks to lvl 4, which will end my upgrades for DE troops which were opened prior to reaching th9 except minions, which I don't use.

No update on walls, as I'll prefer maxing my defense for now. And troops. What's left on my existing troops are Pekka, Barbarians, Archers, Healers, Minions And Valks. I have gemmed BK17 and AQ16 for the war and just got 2* using govawibo. Spoke too soon about quadlaloon lol. if bows are set to ground and air then generally around 2* if lucky. Especially with no heroes. Thats the hardest part. Currently again i have around 100k de so can put them both down but i want to again use them for farming and war.

i have 2 builders free now and i have decided to keep at least 1 free for walls. 1 or 2 for heroes and 3 for balance defense. Defense + heroes is still lesser time for me than the lab. I still have barbs, archer, healer, wiz, pekka at 2, light spell, jump spell, haste, poison and eq, minions at 3 and witch remaining. So still a long way to go for me.

1 builder is working on last lv3 x-bow which will be finished today. I might start the new ad to 6 now that the times and costs have been reduced.
2n working on new at to 10 then i will start upgrading 1 by 1 to max.
3rd working on WT to 6 and with that then i will have def at least up to th8 and many maxed for th9. Also have 1 cannon left to uprage to 11 so that might be next.

Might slow down too since without heroes and all builders not free for days sometimes its pointless to keep farming. :)

Quick Mini update on 13th March.

1 Builder on BK is being updated for lv 18 still 5 days to go.
1 Builder on AQ to 17 started yesterday.
3rd Builder working on newest AD to lv6 in 2 days time and might start the lv7 and get all AD's done. This builder will work on newest air sweeper to 4 and then both AD to lv5 after finishing the ad's. Still a long way to go.
4th Builder is working on last lv11 cannon and also done in 3 days time. This builder will work on upg the AT first with WT and mortar. All are at TH8 max levels now.
1 builder will be free most of the time for walls. I have already done 12 lv10 walls and it seems to be a long way to for 250 walls.

As mentioned few times still have a long way to go for lab troops so keeping 1 builder free will increase the time required for max Th9. I rather see 1 builder free all the time then to see 3 of them being free :).

We had our first perfect 100% score as the other clan had no CC troops and was highly rushed too. Still they had decent defenses.

I currently have 2 AT lvl 11

all mortars 6

WT 2 * lvl 7 and 2 going to lvl 7

all cannons lvl 11

BK lvl 10

AQ going lvl 8

DE drill 1 lvl 5 and 1 going to lvl 5

I play this game since a lot of time but I played for the first lvls as casual.. In fact it took me a lot to get to th9 .

Now I would like to get in touch with some nice guys who can help me grow and maybe try clan wars too since I practically did none..

hi Melino. Nice progress and good going. Yes TH9 is the best TH and it does take some time to fix the rush TH9 but its doable. Seems you are a farmer and you have good going there. Suggest you to join a Clan and try wars as they are fun especially at TH9 where you can try different troops combination rather than mass drag or mass hog of TH8. Suggest you to do the DE troops if you are planning to war even though if it means stopping the progress on royals. Also move up to Crystal as DE is not that great in gold and keep 1 builder free for walls. So any excess gold or eli dump in the walls and there too you wont have many attacks on your base as long as your resources are scarce. Anyway plenty of dead bases with good loot all round.

I just had to gem my AQ because I was fearing an attack since I had all deposits full and 50k DE ready.

Now she is going to lvl 10 and I recently joined a clan so I will follow your advice and upgrade DE troops.

Still 6 days to go for the archers (lvl 6)

I planned of upgrading Wiz after archers are done but I will see how much DE I'll have :)

Quick Update on 20th March.

AQ 17 and BK18. Holding them off for next couple of days and will mostly put the AQ down.
Started the last max AD and new AS to to lv4. Then both AS will need to be maxed.
Started 1st of both AT and WT for maxing TH9 level and then only mortars will remain.

Healer is finally maxed and have started witch 2. Will do jump or haste next then will see how it goes.
24LV 10 walls. They seem hard at first but if you could 1 builder free all the time for walls then i think you would progress much fast. I utilize both gold and eli to upg walls.

Nice progress with the heroes and defense. mine are still at lvl 10 and 9 respectively. Hmmm, so lvl 3 xbows can create issues for lavaloons. Lets see how I'd do when I'll reach there. Yeah, lab time is too much at th9. Most of the time we will spend at th9 will be due to labs and heroes. Rest everything is fine and easy.

For a th9, your defense is pretty great. Feels like you're almost maxed, which is amazing and you are definitely much ahead of me. For wars, if you want to try, feel free to join us. Great work with walls mate!!! Yeah, if a builder is free it helps. For me, all 4 are free most of the time, lol. Though I am catching up now and have 3 of my builders busy. Walls, still not my major concern. All at lvl 8 and 4 at lvl 9. Pretty happy by that.

Wow!!! Been 2 weeks since I last posted my updates. I am slacking off in updating. But the game is still on and I am doing pretty fine in it. Hopefully I'd do justice to this post and will keep updating this.

Thanks Nameless to keep the thread going in my absence. Your progress is phenomenal and I wish I'd catch up with you, but you're far ahead, and it will take me ages to come close.

For my update, my Heroes are still at same level - BK 10 and AQ 9. All my cannons are maxed for th9 now, thankfully. After a lot of attempts, I've finally put my valks to lvl 4 and they'd be done in around 8 days. I used a Govaho recently, and lvl 3 valks with rage just destroyed the opponent which motivated me to work on getting them to lvl 4. I am expecting positive output, let's see how things work out.

After a lot of days, 3 of my builders are busy, which is a treat to my eyes.
Builder 1 is taking Dark barrack to lvl 5. 5d 19h remaining. After this my witch will be unlocked. Not sure how to use them, or if I'd like them, but opening them anyways.

Suggest you to get the 5th builder though it seems you are struggling to keep even 4 of them busy but still nice to have the 5th one.

I would suggest you to keep working on the DE troops first. Also the lava if not done. After suggest you to do the healing spell to max.

Enjoying TH9 so far and not having Royals for war is pain but the grind is real lol. Also i m not thinking about walls at all and i just keep upgrading them as when enough gold or eli is there.

Yes get that Lava and upg it. Laloon is really awesome. Though lv 1 Lava is good but LV2 is really much better.

As i said i will do jump and then haste as my next 2 upg but now you really got me thinking about the eli troops. I use archer and wiz in all my attacks whether farming or war so i am thinking now if i should do these 2 before those spells. Does wiz at lv 6 make a difference than lv5?

Gen, nice upgrade. Suggest you to really keep working on eli buildings for next few weeks and in that time any gold you have just keep dumping them in walls. You can keep a builder free for this or time it in a way that you have free builder every day to use the gold for. I started doing this from TH8 and really helps to get those eli buildings done then later just need eli for lab and walls. Also get those drills to max. Suggest doing 1 at a time but dont stop unless they are maxed. So i would keep 1 builder on the de drill all the time till they are maxed.

Its really a pain in the beginning to get all those Elixir but it will help you massively in the later stage once done.

I have now maxed my walls in TH9 and have to grind my heroes (BK is on 20/ AQ is going to 23).
Any advice if it is good to just grind heroes and basically wasting gold and elixir?

Well if you have upgraded everything else and you only miss royals and you enjoy TH9 wars i'd say yes.

Mby join a clan where you can donate to dump some elixir..

Anyway I'd say wait till Royals are lvl 30, but someone here just skipped to TH10 with Royal being lvl 20 and did good so far.

So if you feel like you are wasting Elixir and Money upgrade if you are ready to complain about th10 ;)

Good to know Melino the advise is working for you. Glad to know that. Even i had read somewhere and i thought i will give it a try and it really helps getting all eli stuff done. TBH its a pain tho that you have to farm a lot of Eli but its a relief too when its done and then unlocking all the barracks and db is also helpful. I remember once i misplaced the skeleton spell in 1 of the wars. Instead of dropping in the centre trying to kill the x-bow i somehow dropped it outside the base. Guess what. The skellies went round the base and in fact were alive in the end and getting a sweet 3*.

Hence i suggest unlock the final dsf and the db and then enjoy working on rest of the stuff.

I havent really tried gob knife as gobs are 3 and i dont think i am planning to upgrade them until some spells and other farming troops are done. But i really dont have much trouble with DE. Might be worth a shot.

After 3 fails with goblin knife I decided to stick to the old Barch. Since I have the last barrack and dark barrack upgrading my ETA times for cooking troops are way too high.

I can farm anyway with 10 Giants 65 barbs 3 Wb and 100 archers. No spells. I get constantly 250k + Elixir / Money

And I'm slowly grinding DE since I dropped to low Gold League, now that I almost finished Elixir upgrades I'm grinding back to Crystal so I'll farm better DE

Mel even i couldnt get gob knife working but i didnt expect too them being lv 3. But somehow it didnt fun but i guess it might change once i have lv 6 gobs but still kinda 1 month or more away for that.

For DE yes crystal is the best and i take giants, wiz, healer army and only attack on dead with bases over 2k+ resources.

Yes its a pain when your barrack and DB is upg but worth the wait in few days time :).

The goblin knive is quite tricky and I often fail if I mess up with the funneling.
If you are just aiming for the Dark elixir it is working best, if you want to win as well and aim for the town hall it limits the layouts you can attack, since then the storages would be better near the townhall.
I farmed all the gold for my lvl10 walls and fill up my dark elixir storage each week for my queen with this strategy so I like it!
But a giant barch army sounds nice to get more different bases that I can attack!

Ohh they definitely do. There is not as big a jump as is for Giant and loons, but the health and damage boost is pretty good for lvl 6 loons. So, you'd go for them. :)

I think its better to go full 9 route than 8.5. I didnt miss at all as being in a serious but not strict clan helps. Also having both bows up and running helps in defense. Target them to air and ground for both farming and war.

Wow!!! Look at those Royals!!! 20, man I am at 10. :) Great going. Yeah, the order of upgrade doesn't matter much, unless of course you've just started. There are couple which needs to be done on priority, like loons and giants, rest everything is okish. I have my mines and collectors maxed and have started final DE drill as well.

Queen reached 10 finally!!! Now will wait a while before taking her to next level.

My Queen is now lvl 10, which feels like an achievement, lol. Lab is free for now, as I am not sure what to put in next. Don't have enough resources either. I have enough DE for minions, but minions have never been used so far, and I am not starting now. :)

In terms of other updates,
Builder 1 is on AT, taking it to lvl 7. 5h 37 mins remaining.
Builder 2 is on WT, taking it to lvl 4. 1d 5h remaining.
Builder 3 just started on DE drill, lvl 5->6, 7d 8h remaining.
Builder 4 and 5 are on Xbows, 2d 10h and 6d 22h respectively.

Walls are same. Troops are same. I have slipped to edge of Crystal 3, and might go down further. Not raiding a lot nowadays. A lot of new comers in clan are keeping the clan active. it's a rarity to see old ones in there anymore. Still months to go before I max out. But I'll get there. :)

Reading all the progress though my royals are little ahead but i am way behind in lab time. Except giants, loons and healer none of the eli troops are maxed. DE troops except minions are done.

AQ is going to 19 and still 5 days to go.
Other 3 builders are working on AT, WT, and last Airsweeper. I intend to keep doing AT and WT and then all mortars as and when i have enough gold.
Haste is at 2 and jump 2 has another 3 days to go. I am saving up for wiz 6 so might put it down after jump is done. Then maybe will do archer then either minons or gobs which are at 3 still. I think as DE req is going up need to start goblin knife.

Will be busy next week so dont think i will have enough time for farming so hopefully i could put at least AQ to 20 if not BK too so then i wont miss them too much during busy time.

Have been busy last week and will be for this week too, so a late mini update. How are you all :).

My BK is at 21 now and put AQ down to 20 last night. I will be done with all defenses within this week except mortars. I have started the 1st mortar yesterday and would be doing them in the next few weeks.

I just put yday my King to lvl 14.

I already got 70k DE but i'm waiting the lab to complete lava to lvl 2 and then I think I will upgrade Valks and put some spare DE to my king.

I'll eventually catch up with the queen later; I find it funny to farm with lavaloon and QW sometimes.

My defenses are almost maxed out; I mean WT and AT are done, I miss mortars and AD; slowly progressing with walls

Have done almost 82 level 10 walls and with the loot bonus this week i think can get few more. I am mostly dumping gold into walls and eli for labs but as upg are almost 8-10 days i used some eli for walls too.
Gobs turned 5 and i have started archer to 6 and will finish in 8 days time. Might go for gob 6 or barb 6 or baby drags. Once these are done then might to light spell or minions to 4.

I've had some good progress in the past couple weeks.
All my teslas are lvl 7.
Loons are done in the lab, I've now got valks going to lvl 3. After that, I'll either do valks to 4, hounds to 2, hogs to 5, or haste to 2.
AQ has reached lvl 10.
Dark spell factory has finished upgrading, and I finally unlocked the haste spell - the last component I need for laloon.
First DE drill is lvl 6, second one is going to lvl 6 currently.
I have 3/4 air defenses at lvl 7, with the 4th one starting.
Walls:
31 legos
219 skulls
Builders:
- DE drill to 6 (1.5 days left)
- Barracks to 11 (~4.5 days left)

So in other discussion, what do you guys use for farming? I barch for gold/elixir and use GiWiVa (giants, wizards, valks) with 2 heal, 1 rage, 1 jump for DE farming. I know that everyone says not to use valks for DE farming cause it's costly, but I only use 5 valks, and even at lvl 2, they can still really clear out the core of even mid-high level TH9s.

I generally use GiWiHe (Giants, wiz and healer combo with archer in between). Spells are 3 heals, 1 jump and 1 poison. In CC i ask for Giants and poison. If AQ is there then i use the healer on it and she clears the base most of the time. If AQ is not there then depending on where the DE drills or storage is i will release the healers. I generally tend to attack dead bases with bows down but if bows are up then depending on DE availability will attack from that end. Sometimes i spilt giants in group of 2 and 2 healers each. My main priority is always to get the DE first and then other resources. Its a very easy heavy Eli farming but i dont need eli now except lab researches.

I upgraded my gobs finally to 6 2 days back and still 6 days to go. So i gave gob knife a try but wasnt good at it and need more practice. Currently i am struggling to get both heroes down and generally i can put them down in 1 weeks time. Ideally i want to put them down within couple of days they are up but now its taking few days time. Also i am busy and not enough time for DE farming in past few weeks.

Another mini update. Very slow progress these days.

BK put down to 23 minutes before and AQ is up at 22. It would be a while till i put it down too.
Once Gobs are done at 6 will do barb or baby drags.
Have done few more lv 10 totalling upto 105. Another 145 days to go and also 78 days for the labs along with the Heroes time. So i m going to stay a bit longer in TH9 till i get bored.

I still suck in war due to heroes not available so will be practicing the same till i stay TH9.

Currently upgrading barb to max lv, will be done in 6ds.

I am pondering as currently i cant farm enough DE. I am generally going at a rate of 20-25k de a day during weekdays. During weekends is a bit lower so i cant keep both heroes down at the same time. Currently at 75k de with another 40 to go. BK 23 will be up in 24 days too.

Lots of walls for me too. Once i have no gold left to spend and royals are above 25 each and not much left in lab too then i will move. I am hoping that all this will line up perfectly for me to move to Th10. Ideally i want the royals to be closer to 30 if can.

Gobs will finish in couple of hours so i think high time i start doing goblin knife.

I would still hold of going to TH10 as currently enjoying TH9 war and also still lots of spells and eli troops remaining. Going to hold off till another 2 months. Also will see what major update will come on COC and hopefully till that time the royals are over 25 levels each.

Progress has been going well - in fact, I've finally started on defensive buildings!
Lab: valks to lvl 4, 4 days remaining.
Walls:
- x55 level 9
- x195 lvl 8
Builders:
- Barbarian king to lvl 11 (~30 minutes from time of posting this)
- Archer tower (1 day)
- Archer tower (3 days)
- Archer tower (5 days)
- Last builder being kept idle for walls

Once my king gets to lvl 11, I'll probably put him down for lvl 12 - that or queen for lvl 11. Been some pretty good progress. I'm probably gonna drop xbows soon. As for the lab, I have a lot of options - I'm thinking hogs, hounds, and haste spell.

I use giant wiz and healers combo (no heroes) and i average about 300k elexir/gold & 2.5-2.7k De per attack.
I do 12-14 attacks every day.

This is how I put both heroes down:

On Thursday night I put AQ down &
On Saturday night I put BK down.
From sunday till thursday night I make about 145-160 k that is 26-30k de per day. Then put AQ down.
That way i still have 20-30k extra left.

And from Friday till Saturday night I average about 35-40k de per day that's 17-19 attacks per day. And put bk down afterward.

Till now I was going that way and after heroes goes fast 25lv I might Struggle to put both heroes down.

My barbs are max yesterday and since yesterday I use Gibarch and really enjoying it. I average about 1.8k de, 150k gold/elixir per attack which is good as i don't need gold/exlir.

Gobs knife may be equally entertaining enjoy!!!! I can't go gobs knife tho, my gobs are still lv4 lol

Waiting for the major update, want to enjoy the update and the new gibarch strat and maybe gobs knife at th9.
Going to stay 1 more month at th9.

Planning to hit Titans, Push the Queen to 30 then go up if i've done all my walls. I rarely use the BK as an offensive weapon so plan is to hit TH10 with 30 AQ and then work on the King.

@jawad, thanks for the reply mate. I almost do the same. Giants and healers with wiz and archers. Healers will go to AQ when she is up and if not then on giants. I used to farm DE at that rate too when the royals were lower but just lately i havent been able to farm that much DE. Part is also because i am not playing as much as before but i still do get it around 12 attacks a day.

Just started knifing and not that good but learning the tricks and getting there. However gobs at 6 are amazing. I have read it here and on reddit how gobs 6 are suckers for resources and i have to admit that. Though i dont regret not doing gobs earlier but admit its quite fun. On my alt th9 which was just upgraded 2-3 weeks ago i will get gobs 6 at the earliest. They are at 5 there.

Finally put AQ down to 23 after waiting for more than a day as i wanted to use her in the clan war. BK 23 will be up in 2 hours and already have around 50k de. So hopefully i will put it down by monday or tuesday.

116 lv 10 wall and another 134 to go.

for lab doing lightning 6 and still 6 days to go. now only barbs 6, pekka 3, baby drag 2, poison 3, eq 3 and minions 4,5 left.

I reckon i should have royals around 27-28 by the time i hit TH10 and would be fine i guess.

Currently hovering at crystal 2 due to lots of trophies lost for gob raid. Will be up to crystal or masters with upcoming lava event so would be fun to use to laloonian again for farming.

Nice going there Ally. Almost similar as you but with an exception of doing Royals simultaneously. BK is a really a good offensive troop and you should give it a go and keep upgrading as and when you have enough DE even at the expense of missing AQ for a lv or two. They are quite tanky from 20+ onwards and i would highly suggest upgrading BK as and when you can.

Update time! I've made a lot of progress.
Valks are now lvl 4, and they are super strong. Currently haste is going to 2 with about 5 days left.
King has been upgraded to lvl 12, only a little more dark needed for lvl 13.
All air defenses and teslas are TH9 max, so I've started on archer towers. I have 3 done upgrading with 3 more on the way.
Supercell was kind enough to provide a new set of collectors at TH9, so I've gotten the gold mine to lvl 8 and the elixir pump to lvl 7 so far.
Walls:
68 legos
182 skulls
Builders:
3 archer towers upgrading to lvl 11
Elixir collector going to lvl 8

Thanks for keeping the post alive. :) I am not playing the game as much as I used to do, however, the new base has pulled me right in and I am spending sometime on it, not a lot still.

Updates as follows:
King is at lvl 12 now, and Queen is going to lvl 11. 4d 20h remaining. Lab is free.

One builder is on my mortar, my second one. Taking it to lvl 7 which is maximum at th9. 1d 7h remaining.

The new collectors have been put in place and I constantly have 2 builders on them. Gold mine is going to lvl 10 in 2d. Elixir collector will reach lvl 9 in 1d.

Pushing for double cannon in builder base, want to upgrade a cannon to double cannon in main base, hope it happens soon.

Good news is that I've Lava hounds, yet to use them, but opened them yesterday. Have started upgrade to my barracks, lvl 11, and should have baby dragons in 8d.

Lab is free, barcher still remaining. So are Goblins, healer and pekka. Minion, witch and lava hounds remaining, and spells as well.

Last tesla has reached lvl 4, other were maxed already. New wizard tower is at lvl 6, and new archer tower is at lvl 10.

So, most of the new stuff have been placed and maxed. :) A little more push, and I'd be done. What's left are some troops, walls and royals. I am known to rush to next base when I start finding base as a drill, let's hope I'd stick around and max this time.

X bows are still at lvl 1 each, and 2 ads are at lvl 6. 2 mortars left as well. A lot of barracks left. Haven't maxed them.

This happens rarely, but all my builders are busy right now.

@Nameless, I'd be trying lava loons soon, hope I would be able to make it work. Thanks for keeping the thread alive. :)

Hi Logan, nice update and good going. AQ is going to 24 now and still 5 days left.
BK is at 24. Have got half DE and hopefully by tomorrow i can put him to upgrade too.
With the new update have started the new mine and drill and they are being upg to lv 11 now. Good that it kept the builders busy. Hate to idle builders lol.
134 lv 10 walls are done and 116 remaining now.
Baby drag is being upgraded in lab and will be done in 2 days time. Will do Barb after that.

The new update is decent, i like it that it can keep you occupied but not distract from the main game. Warring is fun now whenever royals are available. Have become a little better with my attacks with laloon and also gobolaloon. I just love this attack.

@Logan, yes keep trying lava loons they are fun to use and also pleasing to see how fast they crush the base. On my mini i used to drags 4 for war attack but from now on will start using laloon again though they are not upg yet for TH9.

@gendgibson, nice upgrade there and you are moving along quite nicely.

Yeah, LavaLoons is pretty amazing. Went for 4 raids, two 2*, one 3* and last one 1*. Problem is my clan is mostly inactive now, so if I am going in without castle troops and that extra spell, it hurts the attack. Plus, my AQ is down.

What's the composition that you're using? I am going for LavaLoonion with 4 lava hounds, 12 loons and 20 minions. Planning to reduce minions, but then need something to clear the base. If I get loons in castle, it's great, else the attacks suffers in huge manners. Let's see how I proceed from here. :)

Yes Laloon can crush the base like anything.

For composition...you are carrying too many lavas. I generally take 2 lavas, 24 loons, 1 hog for luring cc troops, rest minions. For CC i will request lava too. If not then i will go with the troops. You can always increase 1 lava and reduce couple of loons and the rest from minons. Key is having more loons while lava is taking the hit from the defense.

IMHO 12 loons is too low. I wouldnt carry anything less than 20. For war. i go with 3 lava, 22 loons, 5 archer, 5 minions and 1 hog with cc max lava. At times i go penta loon with 4 lavas 20 loons and cc max lava.

Agreed on minions, they are great clean up troops. I carry them in farming with giants, wiz and healers too. Sadly mine is only at 3 and i will upg them to 4 and 5 once i have finished barbs which i will be starting today.

On another note, even our clan lately has been very quiet. We lost a war yesterday which we could have won easily. We only had like 20 attacks out of 50 in 25x25 war. :)

Thanks for the inputs on the composition. I'd change them and see how it works for me. Right now back at Raiding. Planning to max out and soon now. Been here too long. Targeting Pekkas to lvl 3, sitting on 4.5 M elixir. Have gotten double cannon to lvl 4 in builder base and hence will be upgrading a cannon in original base, as soon as builders are free.

AQ is at 11 and suddenly awesome. Will push her to next lvl soon. :) Going with older strategy today. WiGiBarcher with royals. Cost effective and gives plenty of loot if executed properly.

Good going Logan and the more you practice the better you become at Laloon. however for me in war its still mostly 1 or 3*. I get to 2* at times if Heroes available.

Yes AQ becomes quite good the higher she goes and i feel same about BK too. Hence i m doing BK first and then AQ. BK will be 25 in 3 days and AQ is at 24. Still farming de for it...half way done. 4x Bonus loot helped tho.

My pekka is still at 2 TBH i hardly use it now. So most probably i am going to do minions 4 unless i m sitting on lot of eli.

Yeah makes sense. I don't use Pekka either, but some clan mates do, so taking it to 3, just to put another check on my list. Haha.

Update:
Pushed a lot harder. Pekkas going to lvl 3 11d 2h remaining. All 6 builders are busy, imagine that!!!

2 builder taking elixir collector and mine to lvl 11 respectively. 3rd AD will be maxed at lvl 7 in 1 day.

4th and 5th builder on xbows, taking them to lvl 2 each. First one will be ready in 3 days, and second one in 8 days.

Master builder is taking a lvl 11 cannon to next level by gearing up. 2 days to go.

Have opened baby dragons as well, will try to take a few in lava loons and see how it goes. :)

Sounds good Nameless. I have been contemplating on rushing to th10, but then decided against it. Too much to do on this base still. However, I am pleasantly surprised how Lavaloons is helping me keep all the builders busy. All 5 of them. It's a great way to cause mayhem in your opponents base. Loving it.

Pekka will be lvl 3 after 6d 1h.
1 builder is taking BK to lvl 13.
2nd is on xbox lvl2 2d 23h remaining. The other one is lvl 2 now.
3rd builder is working on getting final ad to lvl 7 - 6d 21 h remaining.
4th one is on Dark barracks lvl 5 - 6d 21h
5th one just started on 3rd mortal lvl 7 - 7d

Pretty happy with my progress. Was confused between using builder for taking a barrack to lvl 10 and reduce pekka time, or mortar. Then went for mortar. I don't use Pekka at all. Used 3M elixir on walls, and yeah, finally after long 3 more walls are lego from skull.

Lvl 8 - 235

Still a long long way to go. Will sit tight and push harder. :)

@jawad completely agree with you and i was thinking that something was wrong with my DE farming that i couldnt get both heroes down and always needed at least 3-4 days once they were up. Currently i was pushing to champion due to loon haste event and easier to push with laloon. However the loot up is just not good. If the base has good loot then its a strong TH10 but if the base is weak then loot is not enough. I might push down to crystal 2-3 once the even is over. Wanted to push to champions for gems but some other time.

Finally started my pekka yesterday and with that all eli troops and spells are done. Now just 2 lvls of minions and poison and eq spell.

Still need around 40 days of lab time.

83 lv10 walls to go but i feel with no eli requirement it should be a bit faster to achieve that. I will move too to TH10 once nearing this date. Jawad let us know your early TH10 exp if its worth to upgrade or not :)

Good progress brother. Good luck with your plan to move to TH10. You're almost done here. Seems like you don't use air troops a lot, hence lightening and eq and dragons are last on your list. My order is totally opposite,lol. I always go for air troops first. :)

Man, you too are almost done with TH9. I still have a long way to go. Good progress, as always.

Ya ty, and Its not true, I never used drag n lightning , cz I was rushed th9 with defences, offences and walls equal to th5, and there is no war that I haven't used quad/penta/go/gova/goblaloon, AQ walk laloon variation for the past 6 months.. Currently I'm having streak of 6 stars in a row for last 3 wars.
I did hogs golem and valks first, cz goho/govaho was much more popular 6-8 months ago and everyone would recommend leveling up hogs back then.

Yeah plenty of loot in crystal, but patience is required. I have always been going for loots in order of 2.5k to 3K. Not any more. I prefer going when I see min 3.5k or more resources as LaLoonion is a costly attack, need more loot else it doesn't make much sense.

You should definitely stay at crystal 3 for now cz you can make lots of elixir Gold and dark there. Once walls are done, go to master league Asap.
I'm staying at master 2, there is very low elexir and gold but 2.5k de + 700 bonus is 3k+ every raid, it'd not be that hard to put both heroes to upgrade if you do about 15 raid daily in master league.
Finally I have excess gold/elexir and treasury is also full (cz War).
11d to go to th10, I'd say leave 10 walls before starting to upgrade to th10, cz 12d is a lot of time and you can fill storages within 2ds once you don't have to spend resources on walls or defences.
