Yeah i'd agree, if you're not going to war then heavy defences are worthwhile to minimise the damage when you do get hit.

TH10 can be a bit of a grind in terms of loot, as ever focus on Attacking first - lab etc and then build up your defences.

I've been on a break, and came back like 2-3 weeks back. Things have moved pretty fast since then. Below are the updates.

I'll be TH 10 in 2 days.
Dark spell factory will max in 2 days and I'll get skeleton spell.
Second Xbox will be lvl 3 in 2 days.
4th tesla will be lvl 7 in 2 days.
AQ will be lvl 14 in 2 days.
Archer will be lvl 7 in 2 days.

I've kind of rushed. Not in terms of defenses. But troops and walls. My clan has kind of died. But then can't blame them. I've been inactive for an year or so. There's only me and another friend who come online and play at times. And that's ok. Considering I won't be doing wars anymore, i don't mind proceeding to next level without maxing all troops. I've maxed what I use.

Walls, never liked spending so much on them and still feel the same way. Looking forward to th10. Will see how bowlers do. :)

Planning to install inferno tower as the first thing. I know it will increase my war weight, and so far I've tried to be the 8.5 types, but I'm not interested in wars anymore. So should be fine.

What are your thoughts?

Welcome back Logan and thanks for your nice words :). However Kaellin, Paul, Ally and others have contributed a lot too to this thread so kudos to them too. Nothing much to report for me lately as i just have lab upgrades and wall remaining. Last 90ish days to go.

Regarding your queries, i think firstly you should join an active clan as with all Clan games and rewards it will help you upgrade a lot of stuff much faster and then perhaps war too if you are in a chilled out clan. Those new books are game changing i feel and good introduction and even the games and it would suck not to get those rewards without active members.

I think i need to stop putting what my plans are because I very rarely follow them through. I never used the GoWiVa army at all and never did the multi mortar either. The mortar seems purely decorative and a bit of a waste of time at this stage and It was suggested I try BoWitch and I love it! I now have my Miner and BoWitch armies which i'd be happy to war with so pretty pleased.

I spent the week working on traps and only have 2 bombs and 2 Giant Bomb left to do (not counting those which are currently upgrading)

I had a surplus of gold at one point so upgraded one of my infernos from 3 > 4 and used the book of building from last weeks games to complete it.

On the Go:
Giant Bomb: 4 > 5: 8h 43m

Archer Tower: 13 > 14: 7d 22h

One builder has just finished and i've not enough resources to put him down, will likely go for one of the giant bombs - 5 days - meaning he'd be free in the middle of the 2 other groups.

I will be going back to Miners this week as the DE costs are too high for this army to be used every day and i'd like to get one of the DE troops upgrading in the lab when the Wiz finish, depending on the amount I can raid i'd like to get the Golems on and maxed but we'll see how things go.

I agree too with getting the ITs down and working on them to help with defenses if you're not into war. I put myself into the most recent war that started today, and unfortunately the 10 below me is rushed offensively but has both ITs... I'll need to hit 1 th10 I can probably take and then 1 10 who has upgraded all defenses 1 round already - so much stronger than me. I've at least gotten all my new defenses down, if not upgraded so there's hope. But yeah, they increase your weight a bunch. :)

Mini Update.

Gemmed poison which is max now and have started pekka 4. Though sitting on 180k DE with no use, i am using heavy DE army. Govabowi and now i have started bowitch.

Heard from my clan that its good to do pekka and since it has 3 levels in TH10 might do it back to back. Might do freeze in between now that single IT's are the meta. Walls are coming along very good. Around 80ish remaining now.

Also a mini update !!

Last level of last wizard tower finishes today, as does the last mortar. That leaves 2x bomb towers to do. I have enough gold already to start on one of them. Total build time left on defences is 24 days. Pekka is in lab and has a day and a bit to go for the last level. BK has 2 1/2 days left to 34. Hopefully I can get the skellie spell into the lab when pekka finishes. Should easily have enough DE to do that.

96 walls left to do.

Objectives for this week then are :-

• Start both bomb towers upgrading
• Skeleton spell into lab to level 3
• Barb king to 35
• Walls !!!!

Mini update for me as well.

I keep running into the same problem of maxing my storages before builders/lab is free... which is a good and bad thing. Unfortuately, since my clan is small we don't always make it to the games tiers with books. :( So, I'm thinking about gemming the last 4 days of my goblin upgrade and putting either barbs or miners in. This will be my second elixir upgrade for the lab since bowlers, so my next troop in will likely be hogs or hounds.

With the builder coming free in a couple hours I plan to dump some gold into new walls and then put my AQ down for 33 (I really just want her at 35 before working on my king apparently). However, tonight when my shield is ending I'll gem her up (get in a few attacks) and use the remainig gold to start my first Archer Tower upgrade into th10 levels.

Since pushing back to champs I work with my shield times and only attack a few times in the mornings and evenings now, but I'm excited about this loon event since I've transitioned back to a laloon raiding army with an added qwalk.

I recently joined a new clan which had more active members as my last one was practically dead and not going 3-4 tiers in clan games. however this one we easily crossed 30k and got all the book. I normally look forward to laloon but somehow at late Th10 i dont like them much. Also since i cant burn enough DE i am just trying to get the event done. 14 attacks and 6 to go so probably finish by tomorrow. I am more excited to get book of spells which will mean that i can max my clone and knock some more la..b time. For Next CG i will get either book of fighting or spells and do pekka 5 or EQ maybe. Walls coming alone quite good. I m doing almost 3-4 walls a day. Also will use book of heroes on BB lv20 BG.

Looking forward to next CG and rewards. :)

Great upgrade everyone. Yeah, I agree that joining a new clan and getting most out of clan games might be the right way, but just doesn't appeal much to me. I have built this clan from scratch, and will like to stay here. :)

I'm currently trying to get book of spells, shouldn't be hard. I've always liked loons, and now that they're cheaper, it's fun to use them. I am using minions and wizards along with loons. Loons do the damage, miwi works on clearing up the resources. Doing pretty good so far. Spells are 3 rage, one healing and 1 haste plus a poison in castle. (no one in my clan to donate me haste, lol)

Farmed heavily last couple of days. And making progress, faster than I actually expected.

All new walls are bought and are at lvl 2. Not very interested in them yet. Also am still using my th9 layout. Yet to upgrade it.

Both inferno towers are in progress. One should be ready in 5 days and another in 6.
Third Xbox has also been placed. Should be working in 7 days.
One builder is taking BK to 14. Queen in already 14 now.
Teslas maxed for th9. Xbows are lvl 3 too, both of them.
Final builder has just been put for dark barracks. Will be opening bowlers next. Not sure if it was the right decision. I thought maybe Lab or normal barracks, eventually went with DB.

Haven't seen BoWitch yet. Will check it out. Still using same old strategy for farming mostly. Archers wizards and giants. Maybe need to change that. Especially now that most of the opponents will have infernos in place.

Just moved to crystal 2. Planing to push for champion, and get those 1000 gems. But then, I'm lazy.

Ohh, and new Cannon is level 4 and archer is 3. Yet to touch anything else. New DE drill is also placed. Once bowlers are out, will upgrade lab and get miners. Then maybe concentrate on De drill.
