They just try to troll you. It really makes me mad finding these kinds of bases sometimes, I attack and a bunch of lvl 6 teslas pop out and destroy my archers and i lose...
I see both sides, on one hand, you may enrage your attacker, therefore go full out on your base. But if you put teslas around your th, you may use 100+ troops to just get passed the teslas resulting in the attacker not being able to attack your base any further.
Yeah, I don't understand it.
I snipe halls occasionally when farming to keep up in my desired trophy range. But if you put teslas there I'll change my mind, give up on the hall and farm you.
So enjoy the 100k odd losses with no shield. Fools.
As we've both been to crystal I'm sure you'll agree that this tactic becomes more common as you go up the trophies... over, say, 2000 trophies, any exposed TH I see, I'm 95% sure has multiple big tessla covering it, and pretty much always is in range or a cannon / archer tower, too, or even better it's close enough to the CC, a hero or similar, so there's a good change an attack on the TH triggers them as well. The way I see it, it's a reasonable tactic for someone who, on average, wants a one-star loss - if you take their TH, you might not have enough left to get 50% and certaily not 100%, and if you ignore the TH, you have to get 50% elsewhere just to get one star. I've only ever come across a couple of TH9/10 with a truly exposed TH at high trophies, and I really wondered why they did it - I took their TH with 2 archers, then settled into my business of trying to smash their base...Quote:

Now, as to why genuine farmers do it, e.g. a TH9 at 1400 trophies... good question, but from what I've seen in my clan I beleive it's for the amusement of the owner, as they often get raided by people of lesser TH. Now we can share replays, this is often one of the most amusing defense replays... tens, then hundreds of troops pour in to try and take the TH, only to fail... amusement for all (except the raider).

Yes, I'm referring to ♥♥♥ when farmers do it around say 1 300 - 1 600 cups. It's illogical and makes the rest of your base weaker. Meaning easier to farm. At that range very few care about trophies so it's only going to give you trouble. I've even done the DE lightning to one who pulled this rubbish on me. I was like...heh, you want to try that cheap ♥♥♥♥ - well how do you like this? Didn't shield them either. :cool:
If someone does it around 2 000 trophies it's a completely different story - you know they are unlikely to give it away for free. When I'm pushing hard for trophies I'll accept some Tesla's to get the job done. It's a good damage control method to thin my army out - as the losses to take the hall often means I won't push on to get the 2nd star at 50%.
But if you are genuinely farming, don't be an idiot about it. I'm only taking your hall to keep in my desired trophy range - I won't lose sleep if I don't get the trophies and take resources instead.
Yep, get your point, and fair call. It's funny though, there doesn't seem to be a universal code, especially at lower trophy levels, people seem to farm in all kinds of weird ways.
Personally, I went through a phase of my TH7 outside, guarded by two tessla. Mainly when farming DE at gold II, or thereabouts, IIRC, so a little higher than the traditional TH7 range of farming. Partly for my own amusement, and party to help stave off attacks where they took my TH then moved on to my loot...
I gotta say, for the lower league farmers, the TH Tesla Trap is my greatest annoyance. Far more even than having my DES thorred by Lightning.
But I did and will continue to drop Lightening at times when it suits my goals.
And when it happens to me, well thats karma.
I suppose the THTT is just more karma.
And we all know what they say about karma...

I don't know about other people, but I used to do it back at TH8 when I was bored. When you are grinding skull walls towards the end of maxing your buildings...u usually overflow with resources, yeah even gold, whilst waiting for the builder to free up to pour all the gold into the walls.Quote:

This game is about fun.
2 are in a place where they will hit troops sometimes when they go for the town hall but they are defended as a part of my base. So not wasted. I just find it funny when a lvl 30 goes for my town hall then gets smashed by a wiz tower or teslas
When I was upgrading my th8 to th9, when to a trophy run with my farmer base ... and when it was over, I got not that much amount of resources and the farmer design. Got bored. Bam! 3 Teslas lvl 6 around my th, bombs and traps.
I have to tell you, I had a lot of fun in the replays :)

On our trophy hunt a few weeks ago around 2200 Trophies someone tried this with me, I was packing a GoWiPe and a few archers either to lure CC or take TH.. The guy thought he'd be funny but 4 level 3 Pekkas, 12 level 5 wizards, a level 2 golem and 3 rages later? 97%ed his base. ;)
They are just trying to be jerks.
I as well don't understand this, I'm taking time out to give you a free shield, maybe even a troop to do so, below 2100 trophies i see no need, I just enrages players who will peal back your base, take your resources and leave your TH, still standing. Its what i do. My favourite is 98% leaving the Th standing ;)
I have my th far off in a corner. I put a tesla between it and my base to kill the troops that run after my base when the th is destroyed.
Trolling. If i snipe a TH and see teslas i will take the dark elixir with less than 40% damage.
When i see one like that i lighting their DE storage if they have a lot and just quit, giving them trophies but costing them 1k+ DE
