[LVL8] What should I do to make my clan great again?

I am in a level 8 clan that is rebuilding. It is 1560 points away from becoming a level 9 clan, but it not ready for war. I turned the clan into a farming clan because of that. I do not want to write a lot, but I will give you bullet point summary of the clan.

Present Situation:

1. I am Co-leader that will be promoted to Leader. I have been given a month to try and fix the clan.
2. We have 39 active and inactive members.
3. We are in a clan war at the moment because a Co-leader decided to start a war prematurely.
4. We have 3 members including myself that are actively farming. We have 8 members that are semi-active meaning that they just log on, collect their resources, and upgrade whatever they can. The rest are new members that do not have the ability to really contribute to the clan as they are low level, but I can see that they have an idea what they are doing.

To-Do or not To-Do List:

1. Kick out the Co-leader who started the clan war prematurely. We are winning right now, but he does not understand that the clan is not ready. He is moving on too fast for the clan which I do not like.
2. Kick out the dead woods and war participants who do not attack twice.
3. Keep the clan as it is and provide a place for players who just want to farm and max out their base.
4. Consider merging with a clan and become its casual branch, but it is very unlikely that other clans would want us because of our clan name and win/loss record.

I will definitely do 1 and 2 as soon as I get Leader or when war ends. 3 may be possible because I do see some members are attacking. It may be possible for us to do low level wars like 10 vs. 10. Thank you for replying to my post.

Thanks for visiting our clan Ed

When I joined, (my current clan) was dead with 8 members & wars weren't done in last 32 days
I started recruiting & made it to 33 new members,
Got 3 solid experienced players who are currently helping me out as a co-leader
Although we are in different timezones, still we try to minimize it by dividing our work.

If you want suggestions beyond what u asked above,

1. Set your clan to Invite only at 400 or 600 instead of Anyone can join
2. Get few mature members who can work beside you as a co-leader, alone it will be a nightmare, unless u have plenty of time for that.
3. Make sure to remove any dead weight & non-listeners asap or they will ruin everyone's fun.


If u ever get tired of these hellish task, bring along few warriors to us & help us grow our small family

I would avoid kicking active coleaders. As leader, you need to create a culture for your clan and your coleaders need to promote that culture. If you know when your clan is ready for war and you have the leadership skills necessary to run it, then you should choose who is in war and start all wars. Delegate other clan management responsibilities to your coleaders. You will need their help. Coleadership should mean something. Give your elders and cos ownership in their clan. It's is a team game and everyone has to work together to make it work. You will have a happy clan if you clan feels they have good organization.

merge with us.......we have many inactive players but the 20 or so who are active all come from fairplay hard core clans who chose to settle down and just war and 3 star everyone. we just lost, we were on a 28 win streak
