Clan Building

Had anyone ever tried to create a clan and gave it up?

It doesnt matter how much you recruit in global, or how many friends already agee to join, it is almost impossible to create a clan and hold it together!

I tried as an early TH8 and failed misserably.. deleted the clan after a few hours.. i tried again as an almost max TH8 and have succeeded!!

We are around 400/3900xp into clan level 4 and going strong :)

I literally have ONE loyal member still active from the day the clan was made.

I have made some good friends through leading a clan, and seen some brilliant attackers. Most of which have now moved on to other clans and never been back. (Some say they will when clan is of higher level)

All of this is because we have yet to reach that magical clan level (for new clans) Level 5, which upgrades troops by one level :)

Most low level clans consist of 2 or three very good players, and a LOT of very low xp level, very low skill, inexperienced players. This usually leads to members that come and go or just GO due to frustration caused bad players.

All of this could be avoided by the troop donation upgrade being implemented at clan level one. Similair to troop levels dropping to lower TownHall levels.

This way new clans could actually be very competitive from day one, instead of clan level 5+ "monopolizing the board" by attracting most of the better players.

I am actually baffled by the fact that people actually want to be in a clan that is lower than level 5 (i wouldnt).

Just something for SuperCell to have a think about :)

SC is concerned about recruiting for new clans because of the perk system, and your idea / suggestion has merit. I think level 1 is too early, but maybe lvl 4. If I recall, lvl3 wasn't that hard to earn, but lvl4 required a reasonable amount of time.

I also tried it the first time as a TH8, and i gave up on the clan, gave the leadership to other...but then on TH9 i tried again and today my clan is level 8, almost level 9 :)

It was very hard at the beginning as you know, but if you keep it up, it will be worth.

I recommend you to do 40x40 wars, even losing you will get more clan XP...you might lose a lot, but you can catch up with victories later on, as we did. =P
Now we do 15x15, 20x20 or 25x25 wars only.

You have to keep in mind that as a leader you have to sacrifice your account donating a lot and good troops in order to make the clan grow. ;)

That is actually a good idea, i will try opening the gates and flooding the clan for a huge war :) i did do it before but didnt put much effort in as i was a bit reluctant to risk a huge no show by a lot of members, so i closed the clan and had a 20 v 20.

My donations are always good.. probably average around 1k per day on a good day.. i used to hit over 1k everyday in a clan of just 15+ people in the early days, although we have about 24 members now the clan is a little inactive in chat even thougj we war constantly..

I just want to hurry and reach level 5 so i can start being picky on who i out in war, rather than taking whoeber i can get almost haha

And congrats on (almost) reaching clan level 9 👊😉

It wouldn't be motivating if you have the best clan perk already available at lvl 1, because then people would set up a clan and do nothing but donating afterward.

Thats true but its also the reason SC need to add new perks to clan 11+.. i have seen a level 13 clan so it wont long before people expect another sort of "power perk" at 15 which is a major milestone.
