I hope I don't end up being operated on by the socially awkward surgeon that gems clash of clans.

I will know I am in trouble when he starts ranting at me about salt and fat ingestion making me 'pathological'.

If I was you I would stick to your area and I will stick to mine, because as surgeons we do not rant at people when operating, because they are asleep - goes to show how people make remarks about things they clearly do not understand.

But also if I were operating on you, you would be asking me to as I am a trauma surgeon and you would clearly be in the pooh needing urgent surgery. If so let me know you want to wait for someone to do the surgery the following day - because in trauma we often sit around hemming whilst our patients are dying.
That my friend again is sarcasm. Look up the definition. While your at it I gather you spend hours online raiding and not gemming - socially awkward, at least I have a life off of the Internet

I was not saying that at all...you or someone pays to be online, that there will always be people who think what others do with their money may not be what they would do...you do not want to pay for gems...they may not want to pay to be online...also that is kind of strange that you think if a person chooses not to have cable, Internet or cell it puts them in the Ice age....really all walks of life and all kinds of people..I was not disagreeing with you just giving you another way to look at it, as you were with buying gaming machines.

My salary means after 12 years of hard study. A degree in medicine, surgery a masters degree in medical ethics and a doctorate I feel that if I want to waste some time and money on something I ENJOY then what right does he have to criticise.
I know he is generalising but that's the danger. One or two people ( doing the same here now lol) may be getting into debt to pay for gems. There will always be a fringe of extremists in any culture, but you can not tarnish everyone.

My extremely high taxation class probably pays his school fees also, or subsidises his free school dinners, I may even be paying his parents unemployment benefit through tax..... Should I all him sick and lazy. NOOOOO I don't mock his weakness (for those not sure this is sarcasm)

As it happens I am an ophthalmologist.

I'm fondling my Leica M9P with Summilux 50 at the moment and given that it cost me $12500 which is half a days operating I think it's not my income that stops me from spending more than the $10.49 I have on this game.

It's the futility of it and inability to see the gain for me. It's not like I can sell my account or gains to someone else.

I get the same or even more enjoyment out of earning the resources by playing without a free kick here and there. If the purpose of playing is to occupy time in a leisurely way then I think I get the experience already.

But spending real money on virtual gems with no real world gain? Fail. Only for losers.

2-Gemmers are losers. They should listen to so many others out here and spend money sensibly and in real useful things. Buy a $12500 Leica like Oculus did for example. Better even, as I am shamefully a gemmer too, (my bad my bad) Im accepting message suggestions from you guys on how to spend my money wisely and will gratefully read through hate messages too as a punishment for having gemmed so much.
Now lets just move on and close this wonderful thread.

Be like oculus - he's "fondling" a peice of equipment and claims to be an opthalmologist because he couldn't afford to be a real doctor.

I will continue to play the gemming way. You lot wonder why people don't answer your questions. Khan asked and I merely stated how I funded gemming and why.
