Its a dead end when u maxxed out ur king and queen levels like the top players.there is no other use for that dark elixir.They have to think of other ways to use that toxic waste.

I remain hopefully optimistic.
While most of the big gemmers have already maxed both heroes out,
the regular avid gamer is still hard at work upgrading their King & Queen,
whilst the more casual player is still having trouble collecting / looting enough for their first hero.
And considering that they seem to be updating this game so very frequently,
I wouldn't go as far as to call DE toxic waste.
(I prefer the term coffee as it seems to have beefed the average barb up considerably.)
However, if you indeed have maxed yours out,
please do me a favour and leave your storages and drills far away from your defences.
Waste not, want not.

Hopefully they will make more uses for the stuff but its kinda like gold "high gemmers" have no use for the stuff but the "non gemmers" or "low gemmers" do.
First, we need to think of a way how to accumulate enough Dark Elixir first to even get both Heroes. Next is how to level them up... Will literally take at least 6 months... Given you're highly active to max them out... Or maybe a year or more than a year... for non-gemmers...
Now, to think of any other way to use them? Nah. I'm still on the process of thinking how to get them. ;)

The fact that any additional use is probably a few months away, I think "gemming" for dark elixir is a waste of money unless you are extremely impatient which is your prerogative of course. For the patient ones, you will eventually see dark elixir outside of bases when there is no longer a point defending it so train your goblins!
If i had maxed my heros i would place my Dark Elix Store and Drills in the corner.. Then sit back and wait for me to hit 3000 trophies, after 3000 this would probably stop as everyone up there has got high level Heros already.
When totally maxxed, gold is only used for searching, spells and traps.
Elixir is used for troops (and as an extension of that donations), and removing obstacles (trees / mushrooms etc..)
DE is redundant.
(yes, I know that there are initially stones and now xmas trees that cost gold to remove)
But seeing as all the ppl that arn't maxxed need all of them, then there's still some point in having them.
The (mostly) pointless part is all the ppl who gemmed their hero's to the max, and also got the drills.

that's where the (mostly) part comes in.
The only point for the owner of having the drills when you gemmed the hero's is that ppl have to destroy more buildings to hit the 50% mark.
