Oh No, Rose and Ernest. Will you hire them?

Was looking forward to something new and although lovely to see rose and Ernest doing their thing around my farm I am not sure if I would hire them as yet. Just popped on to my farm and am running very low on feed. Perhaps it's me being a bit thick but thought rose would be taking care of that. Haven't even got enough to feed the chickens and they are being ignored by her!! Got plenty of crops too.I am happy to pay for diamonds for Tom and decs occasionally as the amount of enjoyment I get from it makes it worthwhile but for me the jury is out on it at the moment. Will see how it goes over the next few days.x

I realize the Hayday SC team put a lot of time and effort into this, but sadly its very disappointing.

To answer question on hiring the new folks: No, Nope, No way, Not even gonna try the free trial.

I felt the same way, thankfully my wife had Hay Day which she played and quit long ago; as such I have activated the trial there so it doesn't interrupt with my real farm. And so far, I'm glad I did. Maybe with better management I can make them beneficial; but right now they are just annoying.

I'm not impressed with this update at all, with the most significant new features requiring the use of real money. I guess this is the vision Supercell has now for Hay Day, developing the game further for players using money.

However, after hesitating I decided to give it a go to test Rose and Ernest. I don't like the way they mess up my game plan. As many others' my sugar mill and dairy is already running all day round. Probably I won't even really will be needing the helpers, and I won't anyway use diamonds for them.

I think much of this is deciding whether to adopt new farming techniques to maximize their benefit.

I am still reeling in some ares after the last upgrade, particularly in crop management (new tea and onions).

I never used edit mode from the update before, because I spent the last 4 years decorating my farm the way I wanted and I like it like that

Change can be good and most of us do want something different, so I am looking (watching - not using free trial yet) for a way to make this integrate with my farm.

Otherwise, you don't have to do it. It is all about choice.

It's not that I feel forced to do it. Obviously just as I happily ignore the derby most weeks, I am ignoring these helpers too (now if only there was a way to make the game ignore them and not bounce over to them every time I open it up).
The disappointment many feel is a result of waiting so long for a big update only to discover that there is defacto no new gameplay, no new products, no new land, no excitement - zilch. So we have two more "Toms" for the players who like to hire him and they'll need to tweak their farm management to accommodate hiring Dose and Borenest ;) It's not what I expected, I'll admit.

I'm going to give Rose a few more days to really give her a chance before I fully make up my mind, but at this point I see only disadvantages to using her. I have her set to only eggs and she keeps clogging up feed mills with other feeds, so that she is unable to complete the one job I've assigned to her. I suspect after her trial period I will be firing her, so she can live out her golden years in her hilltop retirement home. Honestly, I wish I could fire her sooner, but until then......Eggs anyone? ����

LUCY - ALL THE LITTLE SQUIDS

I haven't started my free trial on either of them yet. I will definitely use the free trial, I will just wait a few days and see what my neighbors think of them. After that, I have no idea. Depends on how useful and/or expensive they are to hire.

I tried them on my baby farm (level 42) before going to bed. They gave me 40 milk and some dairy products overnight which is not bad really. Now, I switch them to work on Goat milk and the feta cheese. I expect that they will delivery smoothly until Rose runs out of carrots for making goat feed. At this time I don't do any serious chores in my baby farm. I am mainly focusing on observing and learning about their functions at the moment. :)

I don't use the option where you can choose to keep x amount of item but I have started to like her after yesterday since she stocks up all the animal feeds to #18 each...this is her goal I think, to reach #18 for any feed. I figured out how she operates now which has made me fond of this option.

Soon I will try out the "x amount of items" option. I guess I'll be keeping eggs to 0 because the shop is cluttered with eggs! I'm gonna be the saviour of this world and rid everyone of their eggs! :p:p

I don't think this will have any big effect on me because at night I load it up with cheese or feta cheese anyway...

Right now I don't like how they make the feed and feed the animals...why can't they feed the animals with the feed I have made instead?

I would like it more if that was the case, stop messing up my silo stock!!!

Tried out Ernesto yesterday and I must say...I will definitely not use him after the free trial period. It's messing up the balance of my game...a balance and system I've been relying on for years. Not going to pay to interrupt that balance. I can care less what it produces.

I can see how it may be helpful if ur away from the farm for days...but when I'm away for that long, the last thing I care about is whether or not my farm is running efficiently.
