I Got Kicked. Why?

Hey Mates,
I was in a awesome and active war clan few days earlier. My clan was winning a perfect war (120/120 stars). I did a really quick 3 star attack (under 1 hour of war). When I wanted to do my second attack (under 12 hours), Every base was three starred. So, I thought let's go for looot!!!!!! I attacked one of TH9 of our opponent clan and got 1 star. I was happy that I got some good war bonus. After some time I got kicked. The kick out message was : looting.

I was like 'why????'. What do you guys think about it? Is it bad looting at wars, if every base is 3 starred?

No, Looting is Good. That is not a good Clan................

If your new to the clan and you attempt looting you look like a leech. Ask a Co for direction when your new. After your established different story.

War attacks are too valuable from an experience viewpoint to waste looting. You only get two true war attacks every 48 hours. You should have practiced on a base that was a slight stretch and attempted to obtain three stars. Or attempted a strategy that you haven't perfected yet. Friendly challenges are good, but not quite the same as a true war attack. It is also possible that you made postings in clan chat about were inappropriate and they were being nice by saying "looting".

I think there is no point of wasting resources on war if we already won. Friendly battles are for practice.

You are not wasting resources when you are practicing your war attacks. Besides if you are afraid it is wasting resources then simply raid more. I find you get way more loot raiding than war.
Wars cost loot, raiding builds loot.

The only people that can answer this is the clan you were booted from. More than likely you never read their rules? But, no way would I have kicked you under the circumstances you described. You're probably better off.

well I mean maybe you arn't supposed to loot but I mean I think that is kind of stupid becuase you earned it.

There are different level of war clans. Players who loot are in a lower class of war clan below the truly elite. My clan has a current war win streak of 42 wars. We never loot. We practice and get better ever war. That being said, I have a feeling the person who started this chain is a TH 7 or maybe a low TH8.

Here is your problem. In every clan I have been in, first attacks have been assigned a range by leaders and must be used early in war, and 2nd attacks must be cleared with co's if not already assigned. If you just looted a base without asking anybody about it, and you were new to the clan, and you could have used your 2nd attack to scout a higher up base instead of just looting on it, then you deserved to be kicked. Change your mindset or accept being stuck in weaker war clans.

Maybe someone just looked over the stats and saw that you looted, but not the timing of the loot attack? Like they thought you did the loot attack while there were still stars to be gained.

So what if you have a good win streak? It says very little about your skills. It says more about how engineered you are and how weak your opponents have been.

Practise can be done in friendlies. There is nothing you can do in a war attack that you cant do in a FC. So if you are so serious you should practise much more in friendlies and set it up like it was a real war attack, but I guess you are not that serious afterall.

@OP: If the real reson you were kicked was looting, then it is just stupid and unnessesary. Clans that value strict rules over common sense are not very interesting anyway imo, so he probably just saved you some time. But ofcourse I understand your frustration. Being treated unfairly is never fun.

We discourage looting in our clan to the point that you would be kicked for it as well. We work the map bottom up. Lower THs are supposed to attack first and then use their second attacks for scouts once lower bases are cleared. Looting after all bases are cleared promotes people holding attacks and is not fair to the people that scouted bases and did not get good war loot.

Regardless of ones position on looting, it sounds like there was poor communication. New guys in a clan should communicate what they are doing and ask for directions as they learn the customs of the clan. High level wars require a lot of communication to win. Probably saved both you and them time, sounds like you weren't a good fit.

Yeah, I'm happy that I got kicked out of that clan, I don't need clans with a rude leader who kicks people for fail attacks and for looting in war. If they should have asked me not to loot again, I'll surely not do it again.

I've been in many awesome and serious war clans before, If we are winning an easy war they always allow their members to go for loot. And for practice we have friendly challenges or maybe friendly wars.

I think you should of asked what is my next target?

If you were in my clan I wouldn't of kicked you. Just a friendly reminder to ask before attacking and to use the second attack for practice an attack you been wanting to try and loot.

We don't encourage looting but it's not a kickable offence. I'd much rather see players use their second attack to gain experience as others posters have said.

Looting can be of benefit, with more win bonus players can upgrade, use better troops in the next war etc.

Much more annoying are players who don't use their second attacks. Too much of that and they will get kicked.

We usually don't encourage looting as we have found in the past some of the lower bases would save their second attack on the off chance that they can use it for loot. That usually means the clean up process takes longer than is acceptable for our higher bases.

We don't kick for looting but we do kick if we see a trend of looting developing after a few warnings.

Yeah, I always ask co-leader or leader about whats my next target. But I didn't asked that time because All bases were cleared. :p

We wouldve done same. If you have attacks left practice an attack on a tough base at your level instead of just going for easy loot

Common sense is relative. What seems illogical on the outside is not always the case inside a clan. Strict rules often keep the clan together. I have seen several clans die because of common sense - people failed attacks but "tried really hard". If we would have kicked them they could have come to forums and talked about how they tried and got kicked. So common sense says keep them.

But they never got better. And our best war clashers ultimately left the clan - most of them our most active clashers. Soon our war log got so rough recruiting got harder - only more weak war clashers and rushers seemed to want in. Strict rules would have saved that clan. But instead we used common sense and gave everyone a chance to get better. It took too long. The clan was level 8 and now has two inactives in it and the rest are spread across the clash universe.

LOL For what reason friendly battles are made for? And Friendly wars? If you think war is for practice Never clear a lower base if its 2 starred, raid a higher one for practice, which is already 3 starred. XD

After your first attack were there still bases that you could 3 star? Did a higher th have to drop down to 3 star that base that you could have done? Maybe if those questions are a yes they felt you were holding your second attack so you could loot instead of getting stars.

Yep, There were many bases to 3 star. I used my first attack under one hour. They said use your second attack for clean up. But When I was going to use my second attack (11 hours were left in war) every base was cleared. So, I went for loot and yeah... Got Kicked lol

If all bases are 3* then looting is ok. I used to strongly encourage people to still do war practice attacks with different strats that they weren't as comfy with, but this was before FCs. Even then I'd have just made a mental note as opposed to kicking. If there were other things wrong then that'd be a good indication the player wasn't s good fit ("doesn't listen to instructions") but now? Now it's just stupid to force such a rule.

Find a different clan. Plenty of clans that are good but don't have a stick up their butts.

Many clans want you to practice your attack and not be cheap and loot - they worked hard for their resources, and contributed to the war, so it doesn't make sense that you should be able to get easy and cheap loot without practicing a solid 3 star attack

Maybe you simply should have asked. Left with the decision on your own, you decided to loot rather than practice. This isn't what that clan is looking for. It's not a measure of what's right or wrong, or should be right or wrong. Move on. I'm sure there are many clans out there that would have been fine with your choice. But it's better to ask first. That way you can determine for yourself if this is the way you want to play, and make the decision to stay or go accordingly. It's a lot better than being kicked.

Well, now you can join our clan! We accept looting and stars. Mine has recently been level 2. The clan is called Dentless

Even i would have kicked a new joinee who tried to loot in war without asking.. As a co, i would expect to see more war attacks from a fresher than looting in war....

It ain't just practicing attacks, if you can't make a three star attack, the correct thing to do is scout for one or two stars on any base that hasn't been scouted yet. If you can't star at all, at least make a solid effort to draw out and reveal the cc troops on the hardest base where you think you can get them.

Hint, a th5 with good cc troops can usually draw out the cc troops on any th9. Frequently you can scout higher if there's a base that is not anti-lure.

The right thing to do is scout immediately as soon as you see you can not three. The sooner, the better!

If you allow looting, you encourage your low players to hold their attacks until the end of war to be able to loot. To run an effective war, you need the liw bases to complete both their attacks early so the higher bases know where clean up is needed.

That is why you would have been kicked from my clan.
