Clan war description

Greetings Clashers,

Feature request

Add a Description bar on the Clan War Page.

As a leader of a clan, i think it would be amazing if we had a description bar on the Clan war page (just like the Clan profile description bar), where we could write the strategy for the current war, etc...with this members would know exactly what to do.

A bar that we could keep updating during the war, so members could always know what to do, even if no leaders were online.

This would be a much more efficient method then using the global clan messages, that has a high Cooldown, and because of that, we can't use it to keep updating the strategy.

Is there a way to edit the title?

If not, some moderator please update the title to => Add a Description bar on the Clan War Page

I'd suggest you get a 3rd party app such as kik and have all your players down load it, you be able to communicate with players even wen they are not in game.

But why? That should not be necessary.

The game should provide everything we need to better communicate and make our strategies.

Having the need to use a 3rd party app for the game, i don't think it's the best, because we should be able to do everything we need, in-game.

Its hard to choose :(
On one hand, as you say it would be a very much used feature and very helpful
On the other hand, If you can use some other app instead it'd be an extra burden to the cloud storage...

It would be amazing, and it isn't hard to implement.

Well, SC has so much income that i am pretty sure they can afford more cloud storage. :)

Any more feedback guys?

Would be an easy add to the game rather than putting a clash caller in the game. I recommend using that if u struggle with clan strategy.

No it isn't hard to implement. And maybe they can implement this and buy more cloud storage, but what about the other 100 ideas that cost extra cloud storage.
If its convincing, okay let them buy more storage. But this is something that could easily be done with another app, so not convincing.

and Jcas127 Is talking about 'clashcaller' that's a website that keeps track of your clan war, it gives statistics in the end. And you can put in your clan war strategy.

If you have a 3rd party app it allows you so much more scope that you'll ever get with an in game communication system.
Let's take kik for example, you can create groups of up to 50 people, you can add screen shots and pictures as well as text.
So like in our clan we have a war room as well as a social chat room so clan chat doesn't get bunged up with trash chat, we post pictures and war strats when necessary and we can also contact each other privately or make smaller groups such as clan management.
Now tell me SC could afford to room or time to implement all this!!!

I understand your points guys, however i think it should not be necessary for players having to use a 3rd party app for the game, when a game like this has all conditions to give us everything we need in-game. ;)

This is just a simple idea to improve gameplay.

I only skimmed everyone's responses and saw it was mostly chatter about 3rd party apps; nobody pointed out that this idea is ruled out:

Clan Related:
*Add other clan requirements to apply besides trophies, ex: Specific troop lvl, TH lvl, lab lvl, game lvl
*Customizable clan flag
*Add ability to send short message to rejected applicants similar to when expelling
*A large text area for clan rules that just the clan can see (separate from public clan description)
*Leader (and co-leaders) ability to delete messages in chat
*Modify clan msg of player joining with who invited player: xx joined clan, invited by xx
*Add clan rank to Clan Info Screen – Quicker to reference than scrolling to end of top 200 list
*Increase clan size: 75 or 100 are most common requests
* Separate Elder+ chat tab in-game


I'm aware that you're asking for a "Clan War Description" while the sticky has ruled out an "area for Clan Rules", but they are both essentially the same thing: a separate, private text area to write some sort of global message to the clan. So I think your idea counts as being ruled out as well.

Our clan uses clan mail and we believe it is effective. Over the course of the 47 hours of war, each (co)leader can post 3 different messages. Any good clan will have a few co-leaders, so that's like ~15+ unique messages which are more than adequate to inform the entire clan of the plan. PLUS - those clan mails generate a notification on everyone's devices which kicks everyone to read the message. Even if SC implemented a separate private text area per your suggestion, I highly doubt they'd implement a notification service for every time it changed, so your clan members would have no clue that they need to go read an updated plan.

hmmm i don't think it's considered the same thing JohnnyPC, since what is ruled out is an extra description bar besides the already existing clan description bar that you can use for that purpose already, while my idea is a description bar in the clan war page, something that doesn't exist yet, but let's se if we get any feedback from any SC staff member. :p
