New Idea for Clan Leader Selection

Hello Clash of Clans players,

Currently, Im experiencing a huge problem in my clan. Our leader, Prachurjjo, gave by mistake the leadership to yanchem dorjee and he's inactive, which means he didnt give it back and now we are running without a leader. A few of us has Co-Leader, but we cna not demote other Co-Leaders who are searching for war taking inactive people etc.

I wrote a message to the Support Area and this can't be fixed since we have more than 1 Co-Leader.

So, to fix this issue, and as other people are experiencing the same in their clans, I would like to suggest a new option for Clans.

"Let the players vote their Leader"

Yes, that simple. Give an option to Co-Leaders or elders to open up a Votation for Leader. This votation would be by steps.

Step 1: A Co-Leader or an Elder goes to Clan Info and Start a Votation for Leader. Every player can only start a Leader Votation once.

Step 2: Day 1, players can sign up as an option for Clan Leader. Player must be at least Elder to sign up.

Step 3: Day 2, all players in the clan votes for one of the options.

Step 4: Day 3, Player with most votes gets selected as Leader.

Rules:

- You can not start a Votation for Leader during a war.
- Once a Votation for Leader has started, you can't start a war.
- Once a Votation for Leader has started, the current leader lose the perms to kick or demote players. (Basically, the clan would be almost freezed.)
- Once a the Leader has been selected, you can not start a Votation for Leader during 1 month.
- During the Votation for Leader process, the current leader can appeal the votation and Supercell mods would have to have a look on it. Yes, it is more work for them, but maybe set a filter for it, so the leader has to explain why he is appealing)

Terrible idea, would be easy for trolling.
A leader should only be demoted if he is inactive.

Here's a better way:
1. First the leader chooses if he would like to get demoted if he becomes inactive. (default would be 'no')
2a. If the leader chooses no, then the leader would never be demoted.
2b. If the leader chooses yes, then the leader would have to choose how long he would be inactive to be demoted (e.g. 2 months), and who should be promoted to leader.

This way the leader can choose if he wants a change in leadership, if he become inactive.

or else, make it easier. find a new leader 😂😂

Make your own clan if you need a new leader. Sucks but too bad.

The only option I support for leadership changing automatically would be if there were a setting available to the leader where if they themselves went inactive, they could allow leadership to pass to someone they designate.

• Disabled by default - they could enable it by a check box
• Once checked they could specify how many days they would be inactive in a row before it triggered. Minimum 30 days and no limit on how long.
• They could select from current clan members an order of secession - up to 3 CO Leaders. If the 1st was no longer in the clan or no longer a CO it would go to #2. If not them then #3. If none of them were available then leadership stays as it was.

In other words, I agree there should be a process whereby leadership could pass automatically. As long as the decision and process to do so remain with the current leader.

If a leader is inactive for either 3 months or 180 days (I don't know exactly, it's one or the other) Support, if contacted, will remove leader. Or, if you know the leader in real life, tell him to leave the clan and appoint a leader and then go back to not playing it. Maybe SC should put in a feature to where people who delete the game are automatically removed from the clan.

Hi. Supercell would definitely not throw the leadership of a clan between members' hands. You can create a clan with your friends in order to leave the clan who contains an inactive leader. Support might help you if the leader wasn't active for a long time. The best solution I would do if I were you, I would make a new clan with my friends, so I can choose a new name too, the only thing you need to be patient for is the clan level, yes, you'll start from the drawing board.

yanchem dorjee is your leader and you are trying to run a muntiny to replace him.


If yanchem dorjee is really inactive, we have heard that supercell will demote hi after 3-6 months.

You mention other undisciplined co-leaders. It sound like a pretty poor clan. I recommend you start a new clan, and take more care with who may be co-leader.
