"What is the size of your barn?"

Hi all, how many of you are ready to answer when this question is being asked? I can say for myself that when i have joined a new hood and the leader or coleader ask me about my barn size, i would feel so weird n i wont tell em. I have had problem sharing with it. Ofcourse, i have shared my info in the offtopic thread but only after i learnt its just for stats and not for comparison. If a hoodie asks me this question after few weeks/months i would answer em but not so soon after i joined a new hood. Have you peeps experienced this thing and what would you do??

Ooh, interesting question. Possible answers to deflect:

"Not as big as I'd like."

"Somewhere between 200 and 10000"

Or they could go the sincere route and speak honestly: "I feel a little shy about saying how big my barn is. I'm not sure why I'm self-conscious about it. But I am. Is it alright if I just hold on to that info at least for a little while?"

And then they could add: " but it's not as big as I like"

Be honest. If they don't like it, tough. If you ask me, my answer is

"500. And I have completed every achievement other than the NH trading one. Any other questions?"

Now, I'm going to be nosy and presumptuous and ask you:

Is your barn really 500? Was that an honest answer? :D

Sometimes the best thing is to commiserate: often people don't care the number, they just want to vent about their barn being jammed up. At the point the best answer is often "My barn is the same size as yours: Too Darn Small! :)"

My barn size is a big as I need it for now, always saving for upgrade, but my barn is small for my level, I think.

I don't get bothered for upgrade stuff after my disclosure ;)



That aside, I would probably be uncomfortable if someone said "Welcome to our hood, what is your barn size?"

First, if anyone ever asks me I have never minded answering. (I'm level 115 now and it's 5000).

I'm a neighborhood leader and it's not something I feel like I need to know before someone joins but I'm always curious about barn/silo size. I've had some pretty high level members (level 60-80) who have had barns sizes way under 1000. I also ask people what derby tasks they like best and how they manage their fishing areas and all sorts of stuff. There isn't one best way to play Hay Day and I'm always curious about how other people do things. Being nosy has paid off for me, I learned a lot of ways to manage things.

I've never found that barn/silo size was a good indicator of how well someone plays. I personally think a big barn is better, but that's how I play, it doesn't mean it's right for someone else. If you don't want to tell them, then just don't. As long as you are doing what is expected according the neighborhood rules it really shouldn't matter what size your barn is.

See??? I am level 123 and my barn is 2700, but it is well organised ;)

Wow, 5000? :o I'm at level 70 and mine isn't even at 1000 yet :P (It's at 925 so I'm not too far off. Am actively upgrading, but rarely extremely short on space luckily :))

If you don't want to tell, ask why it's important and tell them you'd rather not give it out.
