Dark Elixir Storages Lightning Proof

Nothing is more frustrating than opening up your game and finding someone used a few lightning spells on your dark elixir storage and leaves. Absolutely no strategy involved and extremely easy to do. It's basically a form of converting gold to dark elixir at this point. You shouldn't have a way to steal resources where you're completely unable to defend it. Where's the fun in that? Make people actually work to get the hardest acquired resource instead of just dropped a few lightning spells.

I already know they made it more "resistant" and you can revenge the player but most of the time it's not worth it and they still take a substantial amount of dark elixir even with the higher storage health.

What do you guys think? Make dark storages lightning proof to promote strategic game play or just leave it the way it is?

If they're low level I just take my de back with my BA strategy, If high level I just take there de with dragons! :)

I think it's fair the way it is; as a th7, I used to lightning peoples' storages, and now as a nearly maxed TH8 I get hit by lightning. But that's really my choice - I'm farming around 1300-1500. I'm taking advantage of bases that are below my level. If I wanted to stop getting hit by lightning, I would just move up to around 1700 where lightning is extremely rare. It's really just a consequence of a certain style of farming.

I guess it depends where you are in the game. If you really need dark elixir but don't have upgraded drills but then later, you will lose. I think a lot of people will change their minds very quickly when they have to save up 40k de for an upgrade then have people do lightning and keep taking 1k. Gets pretty annoying pretty fast

i just don't like the fact that its completely unavoidable and there's nothing you can do about it. Doesn't feel like a game when there's zero strategy.

Especially when they have no resources when you want to revenge them

its been seggusted before but there should be a tower that attracts lightning spells and grounds the current rendering the spell useless in a small area. a lightning rod really

What is your trophy range right now?

If you are anywhere under 1,500 it will happen; a lot. Not many under that threshold are DE rich; so you've got a big target on your back. Particularly from TH7 or weaker TH8 players who don't have the armies to break you completely.

If you get your trophies up over 1,800 - where players respect trophies and DE flows much more nicely you will very rarely have the problem.

DES strike are a part of the game...not to be rude, but deal with it.

I have "Thorred" and been Thorred. I move on.

The truth is that Thorring is rather an inefficient method for amassing DE in any real quantities, given the time it takes to fill your Spell Factory with them.

As an avid DE collector and Hero maxer, there are better ways to do it. Strong troops with a Rage Spell for instance...

Plus with the recent changes to DEs hit points and LS damage, its even less efficient.

I still Thor the occasional base, but its more an act of opportunity than a strategy.

I got hit by this a few days ago while trying to raise my trophy range. Scared the ♥♥♥♥ out of me! Lol

Those dark storage should not be lightning proof. If they use it back to us then we lot like 1000 dark elixir we can revenge back and who knows we can get back like 2000 drk elixir which is double the amount stolen
