Can I get to master without xbows?

So im kind of bored with the game and im thinking of trying to do something interesting. I'm wondering if you guys think its possible to make the master level at town hall 9 without xbows or inferno towers. I am a level 87, with lvl 6 archers, lvl 5 giants, wizards, goblins, healer and wallbreakers, lvl 3 drags and pekkas and all level 1 dark troops. I also have a level 4 archer queen and level 5 barb king. Is it possible to make master at my current level without making town hall 10 and without xbows? If you do think so, i would love to hear some strategies to do it. Here is a picture of my base:

Yes, if you go to bonbee canada and scroll down their is a level 62 with a very unimpressive base. You can do it.

I agree with you that its not too impressive but it does have inferno towers and xbows, also she is town hall 10, which helps very much

Sure its possible to get to even Champion with any base just be lucky enough to find the easiest bases

My ideal goal would be 2730 trophies which would get me in the top 200 on local leaderboards

I got my TH8 up to about 2100, due to a solid weekend of trophy pushing about a week ago, and will be pushing again from tonight to try for over 2200 (same reasons - endless farming gets boring, I need a challenge while more of my troop upgrades slowly get done). So I am firmly convinced that you can get your trophies to wherever you want, as long as your troops and raiding tactics are up to scratch, and most importantly don't actually rely on getting trophies from a base that actually wins...

Think of it this way - what's the worst that you can lose, per day, if you do not keep breaking sheild? At worst, you could get your base 100% trashed, twice a day. Let's say that's -60 trophies, per day. Surely you can raid well, in two solid blocks, and get more than +60 trophies per day?

Realistically, if you arrange your base to minimise the change of a three-star loss, and maximise your chances of being attacked for at least 40% so you get a shield, you should only lose about 30 trophies per day, from two solid raids that average a two-star win against you. Even ten raids, with 9/10 wins, should gain you more than 30 trophies (hint: always attack a base that has more trophies than you do).

thanks a lot for the tips. Hopefully there are some poorly guarded town halls around that level so i can pick them off

Xbows are probably highly recommended, but you could make it up there.

Defense rarely wins at the top, so have quick effective offense and you should have no problem doing it.

To be honest, there are probably less and less as you go up, e.g. I find a few TH9 and TH10 over 2000 trophies that have a TH at or near the edge, but very few - certainly these are not my main target when pushing trophies... Here's how I tend to do it:
1) start your raiding block with a big, expensive, slow to brew army - GoWiPe, mass dragons, or similar - something you set brewing earlier, so it's 100% ready to go when you log back on. Look hard through your revenge targets, to see if there's anything suitable that you can raid for 30+ trophies, with a base that's a likely 2-3 star win. If not, look hard for a match that, again, offers 30 trophies, with a base that's a likely 2-3 star win.
2) brew cheaper, faster armies, and raid as long and as smartly as you can - focus on bases you are 90% sure you can get 1-2 stars on, which will lose you no more than say 22 cups if you do fail, and use your hero(s) and clan troops only as a backup to help you get 50% if it's getting close. Same for spells - take all lightning, and use as insurance. The key here, is to focus on good base selection, aiming to win 1-2 stars 90% of the time, and do this as fast as you can, without logging off. There's no point brewing armies full of pekka, golems etc at this point. For example I personally use 8 Giants, 8 WB, 20 minions, a valkyrie or two then round it out with some goblins and loads of archers - brews in about 16 minutes, and very flexible (I use 36 goblins when farming; you could probably drop this down a lot if just trophy hunting, but a few are still good for quickly picking off collectors; you could also go to 12 giants if you feel the need for more meat to deal with xbow bases, and/or swap valkyrie for a golem every second raid - the key here, is I keep every one of my six barracks brewing full-time). Be sure to review all of your attacks, to see what you could have done better - doubly so for the losses, even the painful ones, or one loss will quickly become three in a row for -90 trophies (been there, done that - I got them back, with interest, a day later).
3) make sure you quit when you're tired / done enough - hopefully, someone will come along soon and give you a shield after hitting you for something like 40-90%. If you like checking in periodically, just empty your collectors to keep any farmers away, thereby increasing your chances of only being raided once before you get a shield. If someone trashes your base, celebrate your sheild, do not rush to revenge!
