New ideas for Hay Day

What SPECIFIC ideas do you have for the Hay day developers to freshen up or add a new dimension to the game? Please be specific. "Something for the town" or "new events" or "more land" is not what I am looking for here.

As an example: Like many of you, I am getting a bit bored with the same events over and over. I appreciate the last couple of change-ups for the boat events that dramatically increased the number of diamonds, but I admit that at this point i have more diamonds than I can spend.

So what would I think is fun? How about a MIX EM UP event, where each level requires a different KIND of task?

EXAMPLE:

1st level: Fill 2 boat orders

2nd level: 15 truck orders

3rd level: Catch 36 lbs of fish

4th level: Make X of Y product (can change with seasons: pumpkin pies for halloween, chocolate cakes for valentines, etc)

5th level: Sell to visitors X times

Other tasks could be like: Serve X townies, harvest 12 lobsters, get feathers from 18 ducks, fish with 5 nets, serve 5 of a kind of townie, harvest 200 rice fields, etc.

Prizes would be decorations.

Ohh, interesting. I want that to be a thing!

I brought this idea many times:

* Airport for ballooning. Whether hot air, whether gas, whether zeppelins. Zeppelins could bring us to a new area. We haven't got air yet. At least the balloons can be used to trade.

* Return of drag and drop, but with realistic goals.

* Introducing disasters at high levels. Or expenses for maintenance. Something that will cost money, perhaps set us back. Having to repair dairy for instance.

* Do something with town. Not yet another store, but maybe introduce see fishing.

* My best idea thus far: Yellow submarine in which you can explore the fishing area and can find goods/animals.

* repair edit mode

* introducing something hay day hasn't had for the higher levels: Fertilizers for bringing the crops to grow. When not using fertilizers your crop may grow slower.
Let's say that above level 100 you need to use fertilizer for your land. The animals can make that just enough to keep the crops growing.... You would need a new machine for that. AND since it doesn't rain land must be irrigated or watered.

That's a great idea for a new event, and it could be changed up every time it comes around as well. It could even be a different product per threshold, or 5 farm visitors, 10 townies, 15 trucks, 4 boats, and 30 donations for one event. How about feed 5 pets, 6 goats, 12 sheep, 30 cows, and 100 chickens.

Other event ideas.

Drag and dump for wheat.....can you imagine how wonderful the Daily Dirt would be during that event lol

Harvest x amount of trees and/or bushes

Also, how about a lil piece of deco for every global event? instead of the 5 diamonds, or let us choose between diamonds or deco.

My town idea isn't fully formed but how about an arcade. Instead of filling the townies orders by giving them product, you have to win a lil game? This idea still needs work lol

An in game way to connect with friends in other neighborhoods for selling/trading and chatting.

A new area across the river (drawbridge!) to collect mushrooms, nuts, and herbs, and new products to use them in.

How about a seasonal production machine? In the fall it produces pumpkin lattes, apple fritters, candy corn, and roasted corn. In the winter it produces cherry pie, candy canes, egg nog, oatmeal. Spring and summer, fresh garden salad, lemonade, tomato sandwiches, onion rings, strawberry shortcake.

Three more fishing spots and clam or oyster traps, and new products.

Last but not least, I know it's been mentioned a lot, please can I buy some seasonal trees!

How about selling us a limited number of trees and bushes which continue to bear fruit without dying? The forever plants would cost many times more than the regular plants but then there will be a glut of saws and axes in the DD. :)

I would buy one raspberry bush at the starting price of 100,000 gold. Then the second one would be at 200,000 gold and the third one 400,000. Limit the forever plants to three for each type of plant.

I'd buy those, and at those prices.

I'm happy to spend advancing amounts of coins for decos. I made 400K in half a day last Wednesday selling wheat, tofu dogs, and red hats to visitors. I'd love to have spiffy coin decos or limited never-dying plants to drop that on. :)

Here's an idea, how about Team Hay Day go and read all those rant threads i.e., raiding, movie tickets, etc and figure out how they can improve on those issues first. There's a reason why players are ranting in those threads every time a new one starts up. That would be a fantastic start.

This subforum is dedicated to all new, rehashed, repeated ideas 24/7, 365...how is this thread any different?

Lets try and keep this thread on topic please.

If you need clarification on something - the best solution is to either PM the thread creator, or a moderator.
Doing so here just derails the thread, which is what Perky was trying to avoid.

Can you elaborate on this a little bit? Can't they just set whatever price they want? If not then why?

I think the forever bushes are a great idea, I'd definitely buy those.

If this is about keeping coin decos cheap and the increases reasonable for lower level folks I'm on record as being strongly for that.

What I don't see is the need to remove significant amounts of coins from the economy, when SC pushes a visitor even that generates HUGE amounts of coins for higher level players especially, who have large barns and can afford to buy and stockpile 1500 red hats and 1500 red smoothies waiting for the event.

The game was LESS fun and MORE frustrating for me when I had LESS money. Sure, we played more (Corning like crazy) but that was tedious, even though it did give us our first million. then the first visitor event came along and we have never looked back.

BUT that comment got me thinking about the vis event, and what might make it fresher, take money OUT of the economy (since that is an issue at Cami's level), while preserving the cash haul for lower level players who need the coins. So --

How about adding a derby-style prize board to the visitor event? Sell sell sell to those suddenly generous visitors, and at the end of the event you get a chance to select decos at certain sales thresholds for a certain price. So if you make 10 sales, you get the option to buy a special deco for 10k; after 25 sales, a special deco for 50k, 75 sales a 100k deco. That way, folks who wanted to pile up the cash could keep it, and those of us who have enough gold to buy a dozen BRTs can trade coins for exclusive decos.

Or maybe a random vis comes by with an offer to sell YOU a special deco for XK after 25 sales, or maybe a new vis comes by in hours 4, 8, 12, 16, 20 & 24 of the event. I know I'd be looking for that deco visitor :)
