Would it have a built in google translate? 75% of the clans we face, we probably would not be able to communicate with.
Love the idea. We've sometimes looked up our opponent clan's websites or forum threads and left them messages like "good luck" or "nice win", and it really adds to the brotherhood feeling of the game.
Not everyone communicates in ♥♥♥♥phobic epithets, but when they do, the mute button is our friend.
Great input on possible recruitment from opposing clan (not ethical but, this is just a game so I won't mind much on this). On your point re: abuse, please see my reply to CanadianLegend i.e. abuse on feature should not deter its implementation if it contributes to a more lively clan war.
Why do you guys think you won't be able to communicate with other clans?? English is a pretty widely used language and a lot of people that don't speak it as a primary language know it as a secondary language.
Exactly my point. When we have good war with opposing clan or someone from their side had an amazing attack, we put something in our clan description something along the lines of "Good war, nice attacks" etc. Sometimes, like someone pointed out above, we taunt our enemies - nothing toxic, just enough to keep the spirits high.
I think this would be a great option but just for the last hour of the war to get your gamesmanship on.
You would need to add a translation button, as so many clans we face in war are from china or the Middle East. So it be pointless in most cases.
maybe if you could put a filter on the wars before a search, such as English speaking only etc
It would actually be a very good inclusion to the game, i play another game similar to clash (wont mention any names lol) and theres a seperate chat for the Co's, single PM options and 2 chats for the individual tournaments and the clan tournaments (like war).
In the 2 years ive been playing ive never heard once of anyone getting reported, or seen much drama...its always well respected and generally a great way of meeting other players and wishing them good luck and congratulations on good raids.
