This probably has been asked before but is there any trick or advice in getting a pearl? I've been playing for about 4 years and can't get one ,, :(,,, if it is pure luck , I will never get it ,, I'm not lucky with prizes in HD lol

I'm trying on spot 6 ,, the famous ship wreck,,, one on my hoodies have 5 pearls she said she caught them in spots , 2, 3, 4, and 12 that is pretty much the wall where the waterfall is at,, let's see ,, i will post if I get any there :), and thank you for the links !!

God it seems really hard to find one. I don't want to spend all my diamonds on mystery net!

Spot 6 is by no means the ONLY spot you get it. There are plenty of threads about where to try. Maybe those who got it in spot 6 are just more vocal about it making it seem like that's the preferred spot.
FWIW I got it in spot 4.
I have two. I found one by the center island. Right in front of it and one to the far left by the channel entrance. Three spots to the left of the waterfall. I'm not sure of spot numbers. But it was in those areas.
I've never found one either but I thought it would be based more on how many diamonds you have spent to get one. I've given up trying until I can get past the derby achievements!
Thanks to everyone telling us what spots worked for you, will def try these out when I can.
I have tried doing all 12 nets in one go and got nothing but fish & naff items.
