We don't have any 90k with TH11 troops: our #1 is a regular, balanced TH10, and then we have 9.5s. We have no TH11s in war of any sort. Which is why it's hard to explain us matching a clan with so many TH11s (I think it was actually 4, not 5 as I said earlier). If it takes better of offence/defence then they had multiple TH11s, starting with a fully maxed one, working down; and fully maxed TH10s etc... Whereas we had no TH10s maxed on either offence or defence. I gave the numbers in my previous post, based on the take-better methodology and they just don't make sense.
The take-better-of-offence-defence would really hurt defenceless: the very low defence has been ignored and it matches just the same as if that 30/30/20 base had TH11 guns, rather than just a single cannon. Whereas it wouldn't hurt x.5s hugely - they are only matching as if they had at most 1 TH more of offence.
But in reality that last war against a hugely lopsided clan was the only war we've had since the updated that was grossly mismatched. It was a completely unwinnable* war: they could hit every single 9.5 on our team with TH11 troops and a GW, every TH9 with max TH10 troops etc. On the other hand we've previously matched a clan with a mass of x.5s; we're now warring against a clan that's totally balanced. All fair matches: the balanced clan has 5 inferno bases to our 1; but our heroes are probably double theirs.
(* Amazingly we actually won 87-86. Never underestimate the incredible depths of human stupidity. They failed to kill TH9/9.5 bases attacks up to and including max TH11 troops, and level 20 wardens. Repeatedly)
