Anyone know how I can change my global location settings? Somehow is stuck in Asia which makes global useless for clan recruiting for an English speaking clan
Go to settings (gears) and click language
https://supercell.helpshift.com/a/cl...=web&contact=1 Supercell help should be able to do it for you, should you still not get it right:)
You move to the different country. My language im in is Americans but if our want Mexican or Canadian, just move to the country!
I made a mistake, I thought he was asking about the leaderboard :)
language English and reload the game few times to find suitable global mates :)
There is a clan setting that allows the leader and co's to change their location. Is this what you are referring to?
Your location is set by the registered mailing address assigned to the IP you used when you first connected to the server.
If you were on vacation, moved, were using an ISP with a mailing address different location than you were in, or were on an unresolveable address, your location might be incorrect. Use the in-game support feature and you can request a 1-time location change to the correct location.
I've turned off/unlinked Google and Facebook. And even now I am in a different country (vietnam) but all I get in global are Indonesianot clashers.
That's interesting to know. I thought location and language were the same.
My location is Asia, English.. and my global is full of ppl predominantly of one region.
However if I reconnected, it would change.
I could find myself with a global full of Americans, Europeans and South Asians.
Haven't found too many s.e asians, but guess that's a different language..
Haven't found russians or chinese either.
So still confused about the difference between language and location.
I would love more clarification on location vs. language and their affects on your global chat. If I switch languages I seem to encounter people from all over the world. I speak English primarily and live in the US. When changing to French, Spanish, Russian am I supposed to be encountering people who live near me that are using those languages? If so why do I see English speakers from around the world in that global chat?
My language setting is English and I live in the USA. My global is full of South Asians, but there are also people from Europe and Australia.
South Asia needs to have its own global. The population is too high there to simply lump them in with USA and Canada and call it good.
You should add that this only applies to English. If you set the game to any other language you start seeing players with that language only. It seems there are special rules for English as it is used by any player that speaks a language that is not supported by the game.
Have you tried setting the language to Norsk? This should at least put you in the pool of English speaking players.
I'll try to get a better answer tomorrow, been awhile since I really looked into this, but your location determine your local leaderboard, and sets your default global chat. Changing the language in-game changes your text localization, and also in most cases your global chat.
I'll try to get clarification tomorrow as well, that has always been the procedure we gave players.
PS: Also moving this over to Bugs & Problems Forum.
Ok. Thanks. I didn't place it there first as its not really a bug as such. Thx for shifting it
Still no resolution. Sigh. Now the help line folk are telling me that they've noticed suspicious activity on myour account. ♥♥♥?
The only thing I can think of is that they think 10 different countries in ten months is suspicious. But I travel a lot. So what!
Hi. I live currently in Thailand so my Global chat is all in Thai language, unfortunately i cant read/ write this so i look for an option to change my Global settings. Anyone has a solution?
Btw in my settings the language is English but the global not changes
No, unfortunately your server is based on your physical location. If you move to a different region permanently you could contact Supercell support to have it update as a one time option, but they are going to require proof of your relocation.

Would it be possible to help me reset my global chat to english? Even though it is set to english, the language seems to be asian. I can't read to tell what it is...
It's true I use to travel alot and didn't use to use the global chat much but now when I checked it out it's unusable.
I hope you can help me out...
