Unfortunately there is no way to add any players (yet, hopefully). And you can only delete all your friends. If you wanted to do this, you go into Settings, scroll down till you see the Game Center icon, and tap on that. You can see options from there.
Thanks. Totally ridiculous then. What on earth are Apple messing around at. Oh well, that killed off a great way to trade. Not SC fault but another reason to think about leaving hayday. There's so few tape around in my farm or my neighbours, that with such a really long drag between barn expansion, it makes it a much less fun game.
The only good way to trade now I guess it's to add people on Facebook so they'll appear in the friends on the game. You can delete the person on Facebook after the trade is done.
Being in a NH that helps with expansions is a good thing too.
Yeah, it's bumming me out. I don't use Facebook so for now if I want to trade outside my neighborhood one of us is having to leave their neighborhood and temporarily join the others. So, I'm not doing much trading anymore. I don't really know why there isn't a trading system in game. Or for that matter why there isn't a better system for adding my irl friends in game.
Peeps in our NH are also failing to find any tape, hence my need to trade outside. Do not want to use my own FB to trade with somhave set up a new one. But now cannot connect this one to my farm as advised only the first FB account that your farm was associated with will be permanently attached so cannot change the FB account!! So basically, apple totally killed off any means I had of trading. I REALLY REALLY hope SC take notice and set up some sort of in-game system of trading.
I don't use facebook (and will not) so I can't help you with that, but I *think* that there might be a way to trf the farm over. Hopefully someone who can help will come along soon. Apparently it's against Facebook's T&C to have more than one account (unless it's a trade one) but practically everyone I know does (and yes, they all think I'm weird that I don't/won't have even one! LOL).
So yes, trading has become much, much more difficult. I have really good GC friends, thankfully, but wish I'd added more friends when I knew this was coming. I had planned to, I thought we'd be able to do it until we updated to ios10, but of course I wasn't thinking straight & should have realised it would stop across the board. Duh.
The only thing I can suggest is allowing people to join your NH or you joining theirs, just for the trade. Obviously you have to watch out for any impact on the Derby. (Allowing them to join you has no impact, but if you're playing you need to finish your tasks before going to their NH, it's better to do it on the down day. Also not sure if you realise or not but our NH's now have unique numbers so it's MUCH easier to find other farms).
It was a real letdown for sure when Apple decided to discontinue the GC app. It was one of the best features on the Ipad when it came to playing games and helping each other out or buying things needed from many RSS to choose from. A newbie to HD wil have more of challenge playing the game without the extra help unless the person joins a good NH.
Well there is the method for iOS game players which is against the TOS of Supercell yet can easily be found here that involves using your farm ID to get people to come to your farm... of course once they have that ID they can always come back. Or potentially steal your farm from you so caveat emptor.
The other method is that in some instances supercell can, or should I rather say will because they definitely can, unlink the farm from one facebook account and associate it with a new one. This would be the preferred method probably but it isn't a definite they'd do it. It really is the luck of the draw who you get to assist you at support.
It is possible to attach your farm to a different Facebook account, but it needs Supercell Support to detach the farm from the old Facebook first. They may be willing to do this if you explain the situation. I would suggest contacting them to see, using the cog wheel top left in game.
Who knows what the future holds? From looking at the Clash of Clans forum it seems an in game friends feature is being added in their next update. So with luck the developers are working on something similar for us in Hay Day (which I doubt will come soon for us, but that's ok, let's let them work it out fully by experimenting on the Clashers first :))
I never understood why Google+ wasn't an option for iOS players. Giving us that would really simplify matters.
As for trying it out on clashers first, are you insinuating they might CoC it up? :D
It's really a bummer but I hope there are changes made to the game in the near future to help facilitate a more efficient friend management system ;_;
