Im near max TH10, and match with TH10 without inferno towers and has only 2 xbow.
My troops are max lvl 40 queen, his troops lvl 4 golem, lvl 4 valks, KIng Quuen lvl 10.
Their war logs are open and they usually get 100% war on clans without TH10.
Both are Top 1, our opponents has bunch of defenseless th7 below

Death of .5? That won't happen without an extreme overhaul that would effect far more players than you think.
What you are seeing is the truth about .5's. Depending on the rosters of both clans they are easily matched against their own TH level, Particularly once they have the majority of TH level offense.
Interesting, OP. I'm a 9.5 and sit #1 in my clan's war map. Our 2 is a max def TH9 (except heroes and walls). Started war search last night and just woke up to match where the opposing 1 is a TH10 with 3x lvl3 xbows and 2x lvl3 ITs and the 2 is a full-on max TH9.
Seems pretty even overall, but it is the first time we've seen more than 1x lvl1 ITs in a war. Rest of the map is a total mix of THs but more or less even.
The catch though is that both the opponent's 1 and 2 have pretty rubbish troops and heroes. One of the strangest matches we've ever had. Interesting that it coincides with the timing of your post.
This looks like maxed th10 being matched with a new th10, the kind of mismatches which used to happen before the offence weight update.Quote:

Not sure it is one of those odd mismatches that can happen or the secret new MM is at work. This kind of mismatch at the top occurred to us 3 times within the last 10 wars. Before that it did not arise in over 30 wars. Quite easy for me to spot since we can't achieve a perfect score in these mismatches.

We crushed them as you can imagine. SC caused the 0.5 issue by making defence way heavier than offence. 2 starring is boring/fail to a lot of players. 0.5ing is the only way we can inject some fun into the war game.

Mirrors/"match-ups" mean absolutely nothing. It's the clan as a whole.
