So, with an extra 25 wall bricks available for town hall 11s, as a 10.5 I have some questions.
1. What is the additional war weight x25 bricks will carry?
2. As a 10.5, is it worth getting the extra x25 bricks?
Yes, I know it is rumoured that this update may nerf .5 bases but I'm not interested in this. I'm interested in the above questions.

Dissapointed with the amount of backlash SC gets from players thinking these balances are all they are getting. Give it time people. Why is instant gratification such a problem with today's society. Anywho, great start SC. I back you 100%. Would love to see a new trap introduced. Clash on!
I m using giants and goblins, hence not worried.
No...even with current mortar damage I still plan my attacks to mitigate the splash with my gobs.
I'm a lowly TH7. But this is lot of change for a single update. I'm waiting for tomorrow's post from sc.

Walls have below average weight of bases, upgrading walls affects weight little. So using the extra 25 is an advantage.
Sure, the post count to the left is small, but I've been a steady and consistent casual player since pre-release (Loading screen 1).
Lower costs are always welcome. For those that paid more elixir and gold, they've reaped the rewards of that many times over (with their 1B looted!). Did you get a refund when that new technology you needed on day 1 became cheaper later on?
My only comment without seeing any of this in play yet is the XP for better defenses. This seems, to me, like a perk for engineered bases. The clan attacking the engineer will be at an XP disadvantage, and it would be another perk to the engineer. (This is just my interpretation based on the limited information).
Off-topic: I hate miners. Not because of what they do, but because I don't believe they fit the theme. Change the artwork, call them Dwarves and I'll be happy. (Also want Baby dragons renamed to Drakes - yup, I'm petty that way!)
Generally, a good Day 1. I'll complain after it actually rolls out if the effects are poor. But long term, I think this team keeps the game relatively dynamic considering the feedback 4 years into a phone app!
It would be really good if SC actually gave us the numbers - it is a strategy game! Kind of weird playing a strategy game when all you have is descriptions like "slightly" or the notorious "significantly"

Now let me preface this by saying, I will by no means make a final judgement about this update until all the sneak peaks come out, but is anyone other th11 dreading the waiting times to come for the defense and lab upgrades? I know, I know I shouldn't be complaining..... but i can see it right now 2 weeks and 6 mil for each tesla, 2 weeks and 9.5 mil for each mortar, and 2 weeks and 10 mil for each xbow. Then 2 weeks a piece for all the lab stuff (still haven't completed upgrading that pesky skeleton spell). I don't want to come off as another whiner, but my least favorite part of the game is waiting 2 weeks while all the builders are working on all the time extensive stuff (i.e every troop and building upgrade this update). Any thoughts from fellow th11s?

By full army I don't mean barch and gobs and weak junk raid armies and 13/17 heroes like you find in Chumps.
Well, I was in Titan 1 until yesterday, too many clouds, I'm in lower Titan now.
None of which is at all relevant to the other poster making things up
Decreasing in upgrade time and/or cost might be unfair for few
GoWiPe seems like a valid strategy at th8 again at least if walls are not maxed yet, but I doubt it will be effective at th9+.
At th9 valks are simply stronger and at th10+ there is too much point defense coming at them. There damage boost does not help much against small buildings under rage and they get distracted very easily by skeletons. Even the new lvl7 wizards will not help much as they get burned down by multi infernos.
Also dealing with cc troops gets more important as even a th9 can donate lvlu wizards (th8 in a lvl10 clan) and they will do a lot of damage to golems coming at them. This also seems like a big dragon nerf at th8 when combined with baby dragons.
Nice, congrats! Im mostly maxed on my highest account except for the damn skeleton spell, just wish the upgrades were not all 2 weeks long at this point. The cost I don't mind so much but the time for upgrading each thing as a th11 is pretty much 12 days if you are lucky but most likely 2 weeks a piece.
I like everything so far.
To that I say too bad. I've already upgraded some of the stuff that they are reducing in cost or time to upgrade and I've accepted the fact that it's their game they can change what they want when they want to change it.
Everything looks good apart from the tesla nerf. Mass pekkas may now be the new spam strategy for the top.
This is nowhere near official and just my thoughts.
So, I'm thinking there will be 3 days of sneak peeks (today, tomorrow, Thursday) with the update to launch on Friday just ahead of the air vs. ground live stream. If it doesn't launch Friday, then safe bet is early next week.

So give the miner something to fear!! Like a waste pipe that gets the miner smelly and stuck in and cant get out of :)
But seriously SC. The underground bomb is a perfect idea.. only the miner will be effected so it wont upset the current balance of ground attacking :)

Baby dragon is such an underrated troop :(, it's great on defense (especially in a higher level war), great for clean up and good for funneling.

I only have one 3 star against me and that was last night as I did not get my defensive cc until after I was already attacked :( Made me a little annoyed. I only had 4 defensive wins last season but no 3 stars against my base. Ended up mid-legends (5600) by season end.
Back on topic I was hoping for a little more for air other than drag levels, but we'll wait and see what happens with the rest of the sneak peeks.
So what's the new sweet spot? TH10 ?

You missed the point i was making. Its about the mechanic of the troops and how useable they are for different things. Bowlers are a much more useable troops than miners. That is the point of my argument. You are only looking at high level play. I am looking at play on all levels of the game.

This was only the first teaser it's not even a proper sneak peak and you guys are all jumping into conclusions. More contents to come over the next couple of days, so just wait up guys. I guess we will be getting proper sneak peeks from 6th or 7th October (maybe). So clash on.

Yes -- definitely. I'm just saying that it already is quite rare to three star a decent max th11 base like mine. With no extra time, I'm concerned it'll be next to impossible to clean up 100% of a max base.
Although I have no certainty on how these changes will affect game balance at TH11, my guess is that there is good, the bad, and the ugly in this first sneak peek.
The Good:
1. Th11 did need some minor defense buffing, as I expected, Mortars were upgraded and can mete out more damage now on miner and bowler ground attacks.
I think differentiating TH11 from Th10 is good, so I'm fine with stronger xbows and teslas.
2. 25 Walls, that's great - can't wait to see more advanced TH11 layouts and we can finally spend our loot excess!
3. Dragons and their babies are stronger. TH11 needs a stronger air game, for balance. This is a good step.
4. I love the new wizard level, it's my fav troop if you ever lsee my signature and video intros lol. And the Pekka buff (via tesla not getting 2x damage) is good though maybe not enough at Th11.
The Bad
1. I fear the ground game offense at Th11 has been basically nerfed into two star heaven, via the strong ground defense buff with little adjustment on the offensive side. I could be seeing just half the picture, perhaps new troops and other sneak peeks will balance this back. If not, we risk the TH11 3 star game being once again the exclusive domain of the most elite attackers, the TWC clans, and of course modders.
The Ugly
1. Bowler Nerf. This was really unnecessary overkill given the defense buffs imo. We shall see, but the age of Bowlers may be at an end.
2. No Witch Buff? It must be coming later because to not include it in this Update is a horrible sin of omission.
3. Clone Spell: Four spaces is still a big barrier to players using it at Th11 even with the longer spell length. TH11's already need 1-2 poison spell places for most attacks in war and trophy pushing. I would have reduced the spaces to 3 but that's me.
Undecided: Skeleton Spell - No idea how the upgrade to 26 skellies will play out, we shall see.

Okay, I guess I can remember the last time somebody with a weak army attacked m up here.
I have a defensive win in my log vs 6 lvl4 drags, 10 lvl2 baby drags, and no heroes. They guy had 5112 trophies
Still nothing for me to use my DE on. Interesting updates and tweaks, but what about us guys with maxed TH11s, full DE, nothing to spend it on?
Also mortars are pointless against anything but tier 1 troops. How about they do extra damage to miners or something to make them relevant.

And we are also coming at this from 2 different perspectives, your's is about winning on defense and mine is about the ability to get 3*.
If you can't get 3*....why even bother attacking? It's virtually impossible against a good design right now to get 3* in MM and very difficult in clan wars.
I'm curious why you are getting so testy? Does losing an argument over the internet hurt you that much?
I don't think the TH11 3 star is gone. Wait and see how the new defenses do.
As for the bowler, the change is so minor and will not spell the end of the troop like the change to witches.
It is a disappointment to see the witch not brought back. I'd like to see the stats on her usage.
I'm the elitist? First post was about bragging how you never failed. Come up to legend and use troops up here. Oh wait, you can't, cause you're not a TH11, and have no idea how anything works.
Let me make this simple for you - any troop that comes from a higher level player to a low level player, will be OP. Because it is 2-3 TH levels ahead in hit points and DPS.
This will now include dragons to TH8s, loons to TH7s and TH8s, lava hounds to TH9s, hogs to TH9s, etc
Please tell me how bowlers are any different, other than that they're the new troop. We use all sorts attacks in my clan, 27 win streak, 94-6 recent war record.
So yeah. I know what I'm talking about, I'm the leader. What's your credentials?
Do bowlers really need to get decreased hit points? I mean- you can't really use them without healers as it is....
This update is a joke. SC trying to bring back useless 2 star GoWiPe is laughable. Zero creativity. No miner nerf? No witches? Healers not brought back? This game sucks now man I'm deleting this trash.
Their Facebook page says come back tomorrow for more sneak peeks.
