Triggered... oh this isn't about me sorry.
I am seriously concerned about the pekka buff. There is a reason the tesla were changed to stop pekkas and the little skeleton traps added specifically to stop the pekka.
This feels as if someone new came to design and saw 'huh, nobody uses hogs anymore at high levels, let's remove the extra damage from bombs to hogs' - it would ruin the game in such epic proportions it wouldn't be funny.
The pekka nerf back in the day happened when there was no earthquake and no lvl 6 wizards at th9. About the only thing they could do to make this worse is shifting pekka Lvl 4 to th9.
Why do you make such drastic balance changes instead of gentler changes to see if more is truly needed? 1.4x damage, fav enemy intact for starters, and if that isn't enough, then tweak it further?
You people need to understand something: if you ruin the balance of th9, you are not going to make us upgrade to th10. We will simply stop playing. I'm not being alarmist, I'm not issuing ridiculous ultimatums. Heck I will wait to see the outcome. But I'm Just making sure you guys understand that tidbit, in case the attempt to 'make th9 easy' is deliberate.
I remain cautiously optimistic about the update, but I'm nonetheless voicing my concern.
That's my point, ever since max bowlers in cc th9 has been already a bit too easy to 3*, but at least it wasn't a gimme. You needed to be a skilled attacker. This feels like lowering the bar even further. Bringing it in range of the I make a funnel cook my army and troop dump guy. So are all these changes deliberate, ruining what was considered the most balanced th for war on purpose, in the mistaken belief people will upgrade? Or is it simply oversight.
If you watch the high end streams you'll see they do fail clean attacks vs th9, but usually, though not always, their th9s can clean up. Sometimes wars are decided by which side had to dip down to clean th9s and which sides had spare th9 attacks to secure the 2* on a higher level th and let the th10&11 go for 3.
Nobody is saying a pekka shouldn't be a viable 3* strategy troop. I'm advocating prudence in the buffing process to make sure it doesn't become far more powerful than valks, which were op until a series of indirect nerfs (point def, wiz tower, spring trap, xbow) that brought them a little in line, but further reduced the effectiveness of everything else.
I really don't want to see mass pekka with a few trailing wizards as a viable 3* strategy you know.
I always trusted in SC updates, and rarely SC has betrayed my expectations, but this time I'm really concerned about CW Balancing. It seems that, instead finding a solution to a misleading matchmaking system, SC has preferred to gild the pill giving consolation prizes to everyone.
In my opinion all of these changes are potentially dangerous for a fair gameplay.
• Earn a partial War Win Bonus even when failing an attack: we will see a lot of low THs that will attack the first positions with just one Goblin only for a sure loot.
• War Win Bonus is no longer reduced when attacking lower Town Hall levels: obvious, if the players at the bottom attack the firsts just for loot, who will attack the last positions?
• Tougher targets in war are worth more Clan XP, to a max of 10XP! : untill Clan XP will not represent the real ability in war of a Clan, growing faster or slower will not matter, soon or later everyone will gain the tenth perk...
Do you mean to reward Clans that are forced to face stronger Clans?
Obviously I hope to misunderstand this "balancing" and I will be happy to eat my words!
