Is there any way that is better then another? Any secret way to getting a nice little bonus coins? I'm a lvl 38 and sort of low on them. I know trees and bushes are good but I'm out of saws and axes! I spend quite some coins on buying expansion items as well.
Any tips on what to make & sell etc? Thanks :)

If you have a high level player with lots of coins, you can have them sell you high priced items for 1 coin, then sell them back for full coin.
If you can hire Tom for 1 day, get him to fetch whatever your highest priced item is at your level (diamond rings?) and sell them off for max price

To add on to Wussypuss, you can make the most expensive item for said machines as well and sell those. Or some basic things that everyone needs (off the top of my head): eggs, milk, cream, bacon, corn bread, popcorn, normal bread, eggs&bacon, violet dresses, wooly chaps, and popcorn. Carrot pies are good as well and I like to make cream cakes so I'm not checking in every half hour.

I made a lot of coin on lower levels just by selling eggs and sugarcane. I played quite a lot, so eggs every 20 minutes can really add up. Soybeans sell well too. I mark everything down a bit and it usually sells fast. You'll unlock bees soon - you won't need much honey straight away, so in the low 40s I sold quite a bit of honey, which sells lightning fast! The only problem is that you'll need axes for the dead nectar bushes (I stashed mine away in a far away corner of the farm until I had saved up enough diamonds to hire Tom for axes and get rid of them all in one go, and now they're under control). Really, IME everything sells well except for chili popcorn, bacon & eggs and wooly chaps, but even they will go quick if you mark them down a bit. So just sell, sell, sell, and ignore truck and boat orders for the most part.
And yes, I got my rich high-level hoodies to help me out too. :)
I know its hard to make $$$ at level 30s and 40s but if u keep getting coins from others then this game wont be fun. You can ask for tips to make coins but asking for donation is not good. Its a game and enjoy playing it instead of..... I dono wat to say.

I agree with prasanna, don't ask for or accept donations. Accept the challenge. Don't expect to buy everything you want when you want. When you make the coin yourself, there is greater satisfaction when you purchase that new machine. In my last nh, there were 3 or 4 players in 130 range who kept offering to "give" me coin to help get caught up with all machines when I was in the 60s and 70s, but I'm glad I did not accept. I did accept the default prices they sold at however ☺. There were some long waits to buy a machine or 2 or 3, but I am glad I did it without donations.
Of course you can always buy 1 coin for 10 wheat in the DD and sell it to the farm visitors. It's surprising how much money you can make that way.
I told dont accept coins from higher lvl peeps coz it will take the fun off your game and since everything comes to u easily, u may loose interest in the game thats my point.
